After my repeated insistence on changing rooms, despite being told all rooms were full, suddenly a room became available. It was supposedly close to the elevator, and I agreed. When I went upstairs, I found there were several rooms between mine and the elevator. So much for 'being right next to the elevator and worrying about noise'?? They also claimed this room was street-facing, but upon inspection, it wasn't facing the street at all; it was between two hotels and not noisy in the slightest. Is the front desk so unfamiliar with their own hotel's room layout?? Or is it because of the National Day holiday, and they're saving rooms for full-paying customers, not for customers like me who booked through Ctrip?? I stayed at the hotel across the street during the May Day holiday. This time I wanted to try a different hotel, but I'm quite disappointed. Extremely disappointed, in fact.
