The most important thing to say is that this is not a 4* hotel. This is an average 3* hotel. In terms of level. Below is a description in order.
Room. I had a room with a sea view on the 2nd floor. The sea view is one third. Since the trees are growing and blocking the view, you look at the trees. And there are many rooms like this. Maybe for some this is a plus. There is a small balcony to sit, breathe some air and smoke, if you need to.
The room itself is simple, but clean. It is obvious that it is not new. I would not say that it is broken down, but parts of the walls were painted at different times, this is visible, there are smudges, there is little furniture.
There is no usual air conditioner, there is a fan unit in the wall at knee level. You cannot set the temperature, there are only two knobs - air flow strength and cooling strength. Directly to cool - no, the air conditioner did not cool the air, it made it a little fresher. That is, it is more of a fan than an air conditioner. It was impossible to cool the air at night and then sleep comfortably, it quickly became hot, and leaving this fan overnight was inconvenient - it was very noisy and blew on the bed. I had to get up and turn it on and off a couple of times a night.
Bathroom. For some reason, shelves for clothes and shoes and a safe were placed here. Inconvenient. The safe did not work at all, it was all rusty. Of the toiletries, the hotel only provides liquid soap and shampoo. Poor for a 4* hotel, which it calls itself. No shower cap, no cotton accessories, no body lotion, no slippers - nothing. The water pressure is quite weak, the hot water comes from the water heater, so it is sometimes warmer, sometimes colder.
Towels were changed regularly, the bed linen was simply tucked in. The room itself was cleaned well. Only the sand was not always swept clean, I had to ask again. There is a small teapot, coffee and green tea, a small refrigerator. I did not find a hair dryer and iron. Breakfast is included in the price, but it is simple. 2 pieces of toast, butter, jam, scrambled eggs, some fruit, tea/coffee. You can order something more decent from the menu, but for an extra fee.
You can order lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant. The prices are a little higher than in the restaurants on the beach, but the food is very good, the portions are large (unlike the beach restaurants, where it is problematic to find good food).
The staff is very responsive, they will do everything you ask. The hotel territory is cleaned well. But there is little space in front of the hotel on the beach, so there are also few sun loungers. If the hotel is occupied, then there will definitely not be enough sun loungers for everyone.
The entrance to the sea is pebbles with sand. In the morning, when the tide is in, it is comfortable to enter. But after lunch, when the water recedes, it is less comfortable, the pebbles on the bottom are exposed, it is painful to enter barefoot, it is better in aqua shoes.
A separate thing that I did not like was the stray dogs. They wander everywhere, they are not chased away, they are not aggressive, but they still itch, reproduce, bite right there in front of your eyes. There are traders who walk around offering all sorts of crap, but they are not very intrusive, although they pester you consistently, even if they see you for the fifth time in a day.
In general, it is worth saying that for the Philippines, the hotel is very good. The rest around are even worse)) But you need to understand that these are real 3* and do not expect 4* service.

The hotel location is not perfect. But I liked the hotel atmosphere. The hotel is between Sabang and Palangan beach. Also you can go there by tricycle within 15 minutes (30 peso for person) or walk within 50 minutes. Also You should try the View Point restaurant near the hotel, which has amazing view. I think it would be fantastic if the hotel added breakfast, or sold alcohol, or offered small things like slippers and shampoo. I would be go to hotel if I ever come back.

JIALEThe appearance of the hotel is very good, the room facilities are very old, not as good as domestic express hotels, cooling by fans, window-type air conditioners, and the sound of the refrigerator is relatively loud. On the wooden floor, if someone walks around next door, the pillow will feel vibrated. Also, the smell of oily smoke in the hotel is more uncomfortable! The location of the hotel is still good, as soon as it comes out is the beach, which is more comfortable, that is, the facilities in the hotel are really average, but the hotel on that island is estimated to be about the same.

Absolutely cannot recommend this place highly enough. It's a litte further down the sea front but tucked away from the noise while still being right on the water. The room was immaculate and spacious, cleaned everyday and (surprisingly) mosquito-free. The resaurant offers fantastic food at a great price and the whole place has a family run vibe. And it's this that I rate so highly about the place. I was solo travelling over the Christmas holiday and the ladies that run the hotel were so so welcoming and friendly. They offered for me to join their Christmas dinner and kept breakfast open to me 15-20 minutes late so I could catch the 9am dive and still eat when I came back. They were all so lovely, it didn't feel like I was alone over the festive period. If I am ever to visit PG again, I'll 100% be staying at Out of the Blue.
Thank you so much fo rhaving me and for all the laughs.

This hotel is very new and somewhat inconvenient. It is high on a hill which was not very accessible by walking as major roadworks complicated the route and also slowed traffic up and down. While only 10 minutes away from the main Sabang area (climbing down), the climb up made it unpleasant and inconvenient either on foot or in a vehicle. The room was simple with limited facilities (no fridge or TV) and not competitively priced compared to other hotels in the area. Breakfast was spam and rice. The pool area was unwelcoming (exposed and bare of furniture). Service and support is pleasant but minimal. The place was empty and a little sad when we stayed (even though the town was busy). We were quite glad to leave.
I think the place needs development and is a work in progress and when ready, it might be nice, but not yet.

rave162This stay is a beautiful cottage in the hills of Sabang. It is a climb to get to through narrow staircases. If you have bad knees or lots of luggage it will be difficult to get to. However, the view from the cottage is amazing at sunrise and sunset, overlooking the water. It offers lots of privacy and an escape from the boardwalk/pier area if you want peace and quiet. The Wi-Fi worked well in the room, there was air conditioning, and the toilet was separated from the shower. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. I would suggest purchasing breakfast with the room as it was amazing. They serve both western and Filipino breakfast. Overall a great stay if you can manage the hike up there.

Cost-effective, cheap during the May Day holiday. Internal hygiene is good, towels and other supplies are dehaired, toothpaste, toothbrush and shampoo are charged, it is best to bring your own. Very close to the beach, 3 minutes walk, there are many diving clubs next to it. Surrounding dining is also OK, Korean restaurants are not bad.

It’s not a 5 star boutique but what it is- is amazing. Location right on the beach. Good food, beer cold and cheap, people remembered us, room secure with cold ac and a fridge. Got a free upgrade to a bungalow. Will 100% come back again. Photos are just outside the resort mostly. There was a typhoon off the coast for a couple days but that didn’t affect diving. Diver’s paradise!

Honest Review
Pros:
- The lady who was in charge (We think she's the manager) is really nice and helpful.
- Distance: THIS WAS THE ULTIMATE DEAL. Hotel is near the beach and most of the local restaurants so we didn't experience any problem. (I recommend the cafe and 'Terminal' near the beach 😊)
- AC and the room was perfect. It was really hot outside and the temp plus the room felt really homey and comfy
- The hotel was really pretty or what we call aesthetic. My baby really liked the designs
- Free breakfast and coffee was a good deal, but don't expect too much.
- How much we got the reservation for 3d2n. Great offer from this app :)
- Staff are nice especially the ones in the restaurant. Wasn't able to ask her name but she was a waiter there and also served our food (afternoon) and the guy who was at the front desk when we checked out
Cons:
- Service fee. I do understand that this is necessary to support the staff, but if you are on a tight budget it might be better to eat outside (sorry...)
- Food was too expensive for the quality and the quantity... I recommend the chicken inasal since it had a big portion.
- Room service and cleanliness - Manager said we could ask for a room service and we could just call them of we need one. We called them on our second day and we waited until our stay ended but no onr came to clean 😅 The girl who answered the phone was kinda masungit or maybe it was the tone of her voice. She told me that they are quiet busy at the moment and told me to just wait - I do understand if they're short staffed or something? But the dirt was kinda bothering us already so we just tried to clean the room on our own
- Cockroaches and ants. So in connection to my previous review... Yes, there are cockroaches in the room especially the bathroom. It doesn't help that they don't clean the rooms daily.
- Breakfast is not a room service. You have to go down to the restaurant and eat it there.
- Room view. Our room was in the corner of the hotel. Our view was okay because we are can view the pool... And our neighbors ac unit lmao. On the plus side since the units were emitting hot air, it was easier for us to dry our towels 😂 It was really different from the picture.
- Pool was kinda dirty
- Overpriced goods. They have a mini store in the hotel but it would be better to pack up snacks or drinks before coming here.
- OUTSIDE FOOD ARE NOT ALLOWED. Better be careful when bringing meals in the hotel.
Even after listing this, we would still love to come back and stay here. I do hope they give us a better room next time 😅
