"Edgewater Dive and Spa Resort has secured a spot in the top 5 of our travel list due to its exceptional location, accommodation, and staff. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we were greeted with warmth and received outstanding care. The owners, Richard and Vika, are present almost daily and display a genuine interest in their guests' well-being. Richard, being a passionate diver, provided us with valuable advice on dive spots and answered all our related questions. Thanks to him, we had incredible dives. Billy and Jun, the dive masters, took excellent care of us and introduced us to a variety of dive locations. The resort's convenient proximity to everything made our stay even more enjoyable. Speaking of accommodation, what you see is exactly what you get at Edgewater Dive and Spa Resort. We were delighted to find two spacious and clean rooms equipped with air conditioning and fans. The comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. Additionally, we indulged in the outdoor spa, which added to our overall relaxation. We cannot praise the hotel and restaurant staff enough. Jeff and his team made sure we never went hungry. The food was not only delicious but also served with a warm and friendly attitude. Our child especially loved the attention he received. In terms of managing expectations, it's important to note that the resort does not have a beach right on its premises. However, this was not an issue for us as they have a lovely little pool, and with only 12 rooms, it never felt crowded. It's worth mentioning that food preparation may take some time, so it's advisable to place your order ahead of time if you're in a hurry. The resort's slightly secluded location was something we appreciated, as it provided a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Despite this, the hotel staff goes above and beyond to make your stay as effortless and convenient as possible. They are more than willing to assist with booking boats for beach tours, arranging tuktuks, or any other transportation needs. We enjoyed our stay at Edgewater Dive and Spa Resort so much that we have already made plans for our next visit. A big thank you to the entire Edgewater team for making our experience truly memorable."

"I have stayed at this hotel during my three PG diving trips. It has been three or four years since the epidemic started, but the front desk still recognizes me! The hotel environment is elegant and quiet, with a wide view of the sea. The small bar, billiard table, swimming pool and restaurant can be used for leisure. It feels good to drink and chat with the housekeeper or foreigners. The shortcomings are that the room configuration is old (but still clean) and the window air conditioner is noisy."

"Hotel is right near the Sea. It’s just a few steps walk to the White Beach. The location is good, you can go swimming directly from the hotel. There are restaurants nearby, also some small shops. The room is okay. The bed was good, but the bathroom looks a bit old. There was a problem, the toilet flushing didn’t work properly. The staff was very polite, and check-in was fast. So, it’s a good option in Puerto Galera if you want to stay near the beach."

"This hotel is very new and somewhat inconvenient. It is high on a hill which was not very accessible by walking as major roadworks complicated the route and also slowed traffic up and down. While only 10 minutes away from the main Sabang area (climbing down), the climb up made it unpleasant and inconvenient either on foot or in a vehicle. The room was simple with limited facilities (no fridge or TV) and not competitively priced compared to other hotels in the area. Breakfast was spam and rice. The pool area was unwelcoming (exposed and bare of furniture). Service and support is pleasant but minimal. The place was empty and a little sad when we stayed (even though the town was busy). We were quite glad to leave. I think the place needs development and is a work in progress and when ready, it might be nice, but not yet."

"This stay is a beautiful cottage in the hills of Sabang. It is a climb to get to through narrow staircases. If you have bad knees or lots of luggage it will be difficult to get to. However, the view from the cottage is amazing at sunrise and sunset, overlooking the water. It offers lots of privacy and an escape from the boardwalk/pier area if you want peace and quiet. The Wi-Fi worked well in the room, there was air conditioning, and the toilet was separated from the shower. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. I would suggest purchasing breakfast with the room as it was amazing. They serve both western and Filipino breakfast. Overall a great stay if you can manage the hike up there."
