We celebrated our 2-years anniversary at Sausage Tree and we truly enjoyed every bits of it from all the thrills of game drives, to connecting with the nature, to enjoying the peace and breeze, to learn about South Africa’s culture, to making new friends and to being pampered very well by their fantastic hospitality! So lucky of us to catch all Big 5 on the morning of our anniversary and with an Elephant appearing right in front of my doorstep at night! It makes the whole trip so much memorable! You can experience the best service. You can prepare airport transfers, activities reservations, and meals. I had a fever on the second day of my stay and couldn't go to the safari I was planning, but Annie prepared breakfast and looked for a safari that I could book from the afternoon 🥹 The cottage is highly probable to meet animals, but I recommend the lodge near the reception. You can hear the hyena cry at night, so it's safer to move as little as possible when you go to eat. The lodge we stayed in is a type with a shower outside so it may be a bit cold in winter, but we were not particularly problematic. The room was clean and there were zebras and giraffes on the roadside when I went out during the day. It takes about 40 minutes by car from the airport to here. The road is not paved, so if you are easy to get drunk, bring your medicine.

A perfect experience! Airport transfers were pre-booked, and the three daily meals were meticulously prepared, varied, plentiful, and of above-average quality. A variety of alcoholic beverages, coffee, and snacks were available throughout the day (including during safari activities), and the in-room minibar was fully included with a wide selection. The rooms were well-equipped, with comfortable mattresses and spacious bathrooms. Two safari activities were offered daily, morning and evening, providing an excellent experience and featuring all five major African attractions! Highly recommended for those with a sufficient budget and fluent language skills!

Everything was top-notch. We received a very warm welcome, and the grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms were cozy and had everything we needed. Tea, coffee, and water were available in unlimited supply throughout our stay. Two safaris were included in the room rate. Our guide (Sidney) did his best to show us the diverse wildlife of South Africa. Special thanks to the chefs – everything was delicious and cooked with passion, especially the evening barbecue. We also want to give a big shout-out to the manager who greeted us; she was always ready to help with our requests and resolve any issues. We would gladly return to you again because you gave us an unforgettable experience!

This lodge is well located near to the Kruger Park. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a good stay during our time there.
