Guest UserThe room was spacious enough and had great natural light. They were very attentive to us, traveling with seniors and children, and promptly addressed any requests we had. The breakfast bread was delicious. I personally think it's quite suitable for family trips. Overall, I had a very satisfying experience and would choose to stay here again!

Guest UserI frequently stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chengdu East as it's incredibly convenient. It's just a 10-meter walk from Exit C of Dongmen Bridge Metro Station, and there's a 7-Eleven and FamilyMart nearby, so grabbing snacks and drinks is never an issue.
The room facilities are standard, consistent with Holiday Inn Express properties – clean and comfortable. While not brand new, they're perfectly fine. I particularly want to praise the breakfast! The variety is excellent, with local specialties like 'Bo Bo Chicken,' 'Chao Shou,' various vegetables, and other Chengdu snacks. It's definitely not a perfunctory hotel breakfast; it's quite enjoyable.
At around 500-600 RMB per night, in this city center location, it offers great value for money. If you're visiting Chengdu for leisure or business and prioritize convenient transportation and a good breakfast, this place is definitely worth considering.

Anonymous UserBefore my arrival, I received a call from Wenli Liu, the Assistant Manager of Guest Relations, who asked about my arrival time and any special requests. She kindly upgraded me to an executive floor room and prepared a fruit platter. Upon arrival, she thoughtfully told me to contact her anytime if I needed assistance. The room was clean and tidy with a great view. The staff on the executive floor were also very polite, and the room was tidied up promptly every day. The hotel's breakfast selection was quite rich and varied. It's an ideal place for business trips.

Guest UserWhen I chose Chengdu for my business trip, the hotel manager, Mr. Liu, even arranged a room in the west wing and provided a fruit platter because I regularly work out. Although I don't visit Chengdu often these days, he still takes care of me when I do, making me feel right at home. This time, I noticed the hotel reception had added information about tourist attractions, and the inscriptions on the ginkgo leaves were a unique touch of Chengdu and quite eye-catching.

First time staying here, and the hotel's facilities and service were beyond standard – it felt like a five-star experience, haha, even if it's a bit older. The front desk service was excellent; a special shout-out to Rara at the front desk for bringing me a late-night snack, even if it was all carbs. Plus, booking through Trip.com was super smooth! 😀😀😀

RobGZ22A 5-star hotel with 3-star prices. Why would that be? It's in the city outskirts, and not very close to the metro. The air con is locked at a too-warm 26C (it was cooler outside but the windows don't open). The shower drains were stopped. It's unclear that the fitness center was accessible. On the plus side, the room was spacious and the breakfast buffet good.

Jun369This hotel's location is excellent for visiting Dujiangyan and Mount Qingcheng. There are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The light rail station is right in front of the hotel. The staff provides thoughtful and attentive service, especially Andy and Lily. The hotel facilities are quite good for a Holiday Inn, though the air conditioning's cooling power is a bit weak. If I visit Dujiangyan again, I would definitely choose to stay here.

This was my second stay at the hotel, and once again I was very pleased. The room size is generous, and overall it offers excellent value for money. The bed was very comfortable, and since I was on a work trip, I especially appreciated having a proper desk and chair, which made it easy to settle in and work.
One thing I particularly value is that the non-smoking floors are genuinely non-smoking—something that can’t always be taken for granted, especially based on some past experiences I’ve had in China.
The breakfast was very extensive, with a wide range of options catering to both Chinese and Western tastes. There was a large selection of cooked dishes, as well as Western-style items including bread, butter, jam, cereals, fruits, vegetables, and pastries. Overall, the variety was impressive and generous. From my perspective as a vegetarian who includes dairy, one small improvement would be the addition of cheese, which was missing. I also noticed that, despite the strong Western offering, cutlery was not always readily available and I occasionally had to ask for it. That said, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the coffee was excellent.
During my first stay, I also tried the late-night snack option, which I found quite interesting. It mainly consisted of noodles and dumplings, though most options were meat-based. Including a few vegetarian choices would make it more inclusive.
A special mention goes to Ryan Jiang, who was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. He assisted me with sending packages via courier, helped arrange an extension when I decided to stay longer, and even upgraded my room and included breakfast when I rebooked. His support made everything smooth and stress-free.
I also appreciated the small touches, like having fresh fruit in the room after a long day out. Additionally, I had medication that required refrigeration for the time that I had checked out and until I re-checked ( I had travelled for one day to Chongqing and back), and the concierge team handled this without any issues. When I needed help connecting to the internet, the reception staff responded immediately and went out of their way to assist me—everyone was attentive and eager to help.
Overall, this is a hotel I would definitely choose again.
