"We forgot to make hotel reservations so ended up at the Safari Inn. It is not an inn, but a motel. It is priced accordingly so you are certainly getting what you pay for. Parking is free, there is a nice pool and a TV. The rooms are a fair size for this type of travelers motel. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The AC did not work well, but it worked. The bathroom was small and out of date, but clean. I have seen a lot of negative reviews and I don't get it. This is not nor does it pretend to be a luxury hotel. It is a perfectly fine, safe and nice place to sleep and let the kids play in the pool. The service was very nice. We were there but one night so I can't say much about housekeeping except that our room was clean. I would stay here again. We travel a lot and sometimes a budget friendly place is where you want to be. Have fun in Chico."
