"Great service all round. Clean, spacious good quality rooms, good breakfast and service with a smile. Breakfast is included in the price and comes along with a complementary minibar with soft drinks and beer, including coffee and tea. Very comfortable beds. The only thing I missed in the room was an iron for a creased shirt (I didn't ask, but maybe they have one at reception). The dining area is spacious yet has a cosy feel. There is a terrace by the waterfront and although I didn't use them, there is a gym and sauna in the basement. Close to Emden centre, parking is free for guests (subject to availability) and there is disabled access throughout the hotel. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from within 10 minutes walk from the hotel The price seems quite high, but it is reasonable value for money, taking into account the high standard of service, and of course the complimentary breakfast, minibar and parking."

This may have been due to us booking less than 2 hours before arrival. It is a self check in and it took an out of phone calls before we got access. However, room was very comfortable and well equipped. Small kitchenette was ideal for our needs. Secure basement storage for bicycles."

""A real gem in Emden! Hotel Faldernpoort exceeds all expectations. The location is just perfect - quiet enough to relax, yet only a short 15-minute walk from the bustling city center. The beautifully renovated rooms exude elegance and provide the ideal retreat after a busy day. The service is an absolute highlight of this hotel. The reception is manned around the clock and the staff are extremely helpful and courteous. The in-house restaurant serves delicious food until late in the evening. The variety and quality of the food is simply outstanding. The breakfast buffet is a real feast for the palate. From freshly baked goods to a wide selection of hot and cold dishes - there is something for every taste. And the cleanliness throughout the hotel also deserves the highest praise. Overall, I can recommend Hotel Faldernpoort without reservation. A place where hospitality, comfort and enjoyment are combined at the highest level. I'm already looking forward to returning here again soon!""

"To start with, an excellent location, within walking distance of the centre. The hotel has 2 parking spaces: 1 at the hotel and 1 across the street. These are free for overnight guests. The hotel does not have a restaurant (but it does have an excellent breakfast buffet at a very reasonable rate!). There is a restaurant right next to the hotel, but there are plenty of dining options within a fifteen-minute walk. I thought the room was excellent. Good mattress, safe, minibar (free soft drinks and beer). There was also little wrong with the bathroom. In fact: finally a hotel where the placement of the (very good) shaving mirror and the toilet roll holder has been carefully considered. Attention to detail!. The reception staff are helpful. Also pleasant was the option to check in or out early or late for a very reasonable fee. In short, an excellent stay!"

"Some minutes walk from the center, which is not harmful. Equipment in general good, rooms and especially bathrooms should be a little lighter. The sustainable breakfast without packed portions convinces. The service in the room and breakfast could be a little more attentionful (note in detail when checking out, may be better than in the near future). We had included coffee/cake in the price. The cappuccino was good, the cake wasn't so, so we didn't take it on the second day. A couple at the neighbouring table loud him on that day. We had booked the room for the special price. That's all right."

The team had prepared everything very festively and served the 40 or so people wonderfully and professionally - simply excellent service! The atmosphere in the newly designed room was just perfect and helped make the celebration an unforgettable experience. The food and drinks were delicious and were praised by all the guests. We were also very impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of your staff. It was a pleasure to enjoy the celebration at the Goldener Adler. "I was there for 2 nights only and chose this hotel for location and price, the Wifi is good, breakfast is always included and of very high quality, too much to eat everything even. The parking is free for all guests (very satisfied with that as most hotels now also charge extra fees for parking!) Rooms are a bit outdated but clean and comfortable. Very good overall service for a pretty low price. It is also conveniently located next to the ferries to the islands."
