"I had a pleasant stay at the hotel overall. The service was friendly and attentive, with staff always willing to help. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, which made the stay relaxing. I also enjoyed the food — there was a good variety, and everything tasted fresh. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely consider staying here again."

"This was genuinely a wonderful and most special place. The Rocksalt Rooms are in a separate building to the Restaurant - but you check in at the latter and walk you over. Note all the streets here are cobbled, which can be slippery when wet. They are a real BoltHole as they are described, and there are only four total. 2 on 1st floor, 2 on 2nd floor, with one per floor harbour facing. I'd definitely suggest that the upgrade is worth it. The rooms are compact but exceptionally well presented. I've odd little niggles, theres no bedside of any kind - floating shelf would work, where do you put your mobile? And the metal bed frame is ornate and was loose on the footboard. The biggest challenge is where to put things. There are a few hangers on the back of the door and a small set of hooks, but not a drawer or proper place at all. I get space is a real premium here - bedside with 2 drawers all you need! The wet room is compact as everyone says. You won't keep the floor area outside the shower dry, it's not possible. The sink is a corner one with no space to place things but there is shelf in the bathroom for all your luxuries. The body wash / conditioner / hand soap / hand moisturiser are great quality. Noise - it's by the Harbour so they start early, but for us it was part of the charm of the location, the fresh fish smell was totally incredible. Breakfast is not to be missed, across in the restaurant with the best view, it's harbour side. Loved the granola, yoghurt, compote starter. I had English Breakfast as I was hungry, it was great quality but disappoining - it was more style over substance. The bacon is cooked to crispy, not my style at all but great quality. He had the Salmon & Eggs and it won hands down. Local, fresh, decent portion, on wonderful Sourdough. Luckily I was saved a bite. A point or two more - the bedside light fused the circuit and the room was plunged into darkness. Looked for fuse box, could not find. Ended up in Restsurant. They had to get keys to a location they used to own but don't now (ground floor of the Rooms building). This took a while as the keys had to be obtained. I get how this used to work, but not now - the fuse box needs moving. The if we cant fix option was check out and refund - erm no!! There is the most incredible Team member behind the Bar/ Restaurant from Bulgaria whose name I have really tsckily forgotten. For which I apologise. She is truly wonderful and made the visit for me, id return solely to see her again!!! Overall we loved Rocksalt Rooms and would return, to have dinner in the restaurant too! Thumbs up from us, thang you so kindly 💕"

"Stunning view of the Straits of Dover and France on the Horizon. Reception was always helpful with advice on the best restaurants and provided extra milk / tea/ coffee sachets for our morning cup of tea/coffee as there was an electric  jug in the room. A spacious room with easy opening windows for a fresh onshore sea breeze. The only ‘problem’ was a below standard shower; as the water came out of the shower rose at a warm trickle. Unfortunately the beautiful bath tub could only be filled with shower water, the bath tub taps did not work, which was so slow it became cold, and several boiled jugs of water had to be added to have a luke-warm bath. On checkout the reception staff apologized for the sub-standard shower/ bath. They said that they are in the process of upgrading rooms, and would have been happy to give us a better room with a better shower/ bath. Overall: a wonderful experience."

"The Grand Burstin hotel is located very near every ware I wanted to go to. The Staff are very nice and friendly plus helpful. The amenities are on going day and night l love a cabaret At the end of the day"

"Booked to stay here over half term with my daughter for a couple of nights - had a cosy room which was just right for the two of us. Front reception staff were really kind and helpful. Breakfast was lovely - the lady there was so nice and although was busy as she was on her own, she was always smiling. We dined in the restaurant one of the evenings - food was delicious but the heating wasn’t working on that floor so the whole room was cold. Bar / restaurant staff were really nice. Overall, we had a lovely stay and we would recommend this hotel to friends and family."

"A castle-like hotel by the sea. After we checked out, we found that the tires of our rental car were locked because the car dealership had not paid the tax. We went to the hotel front desk for help. A handsome man and a beautiful woman at the front desk spent the whole morning helping us communicate about unlocking and the subsequent tax that the car dealership should pay for the car. After the unlocking was successful, they took the initiative to call the company again to ask us to pay the tax for the car, and clearly communicated that the cost of unlocking should be paid by the car rental company. During this period, a handsome man from the restaurant came out to comfort us not to be anxious and asked if we wanted to have a cup of coffee. Thank you very much to the two handsome gentlemen of the hotel service staff and the blonde beauty who helped us keep calling and communicating and drank two large glasses of water. In fact, when traveling, except for sleeping, we really spend very little time in the hotel. It is very comfortable to go downstairs to the beach in the hotel, and we basically don’t stay in the room. The service attitude of the hotel in case of emergencies is especially important. Thank you again🙏"

"Overall the hotel was pretty decent. Good location and great views fron the room. But you know the building is a but old one some dont expect 5star model. You want some thing vintage and good you are in the right place. I loved it . And the staff was so lovely and friendly. I will suggest this one."

"Definitely highly recommended : tucked away and yet near amenities (large Tesco, Mc Donald’s and large selection of other food options from Uber). There is also a restaurant within the hotel - nice menu.  Hotel itself is spotless all around (smells nice). Effortless check in and check out. The reception staff was very welcoming and helpful. The room was larger than expected. String WiFi signal throughout. Breakfast was delicious. Pet friendly (£30 per pet). Ample parking but not free (unless included in room)."
