Hotels in Cuihu District, Kunming

I had a wonderful time at this hotel! I will stay there again if I am in Kunming! The service was wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was amazing - right across from Green Lake and near Wenlin street, near great restaurants and shopping. The room was comfortable and views were incredible. The fitness center with its view of the city was so amazing that it made me want to exercise longer! The only thing is just double-check if the pool will be open before you book. I did not read carefully but they actually put a notice on Trip that the pool wouldn't be open during my stay but I didn't check the note carefully. I was sad when it was closed because it is hard to find outdoor pools in China. But other than that, I had a wonderful stay and hope to return!

This is my repeat visit in a year. Love the vibe, the food, the room, the set up & more. At prices which caters for most solo travellers. I feel totally at home here. A big thankU to Tristian who took real care of me and my big suitcase. I also liked it that staff brought their toddlers to work, & residents staff were happy to kept a eye. A small idea, with new tech a lift might possibly be installed, making it ”accessible” from reception to common room, as well saving staff's carrying heavy luggage.

It was okay. The location is excellent, and the room type is great for families with its spacious layout. The bathroom facilities are very good, and the service was decent. The breakfast buffet was nice with good service, and the scenery and environment are also quite pleasant. The rooftop terrace is beautiful too, offering different views during the day and night.

The hotel is amazing — I honestly couldn’t recommend it more highly. The location is a 10/10: it’s only about a 10-minute walk to the park, in a perfect area with lots of lovely cafés, and around a 15-minute walk to the Old Town across a beautiful bridge. The rooms are fantastic — extremely clean, tidy, well equipped, newly renovated, and really beautiful. The service was also exceptional. Magena at reception was incredibly kind and helpful, and they even sent me recommendations for places to visit, things to do, and where to eat in Kunming. Everyone was super friendly and genuinely went out of their way to help. I originally wasn’t planning to stay for so long, but I ended up extending both my trip and my stay at the hotel because I liked it so much. 10/10 — highly, highly recommend!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right by Cuihu Lake. There's a popular bakery nearby with delicious bread, and their crispy buns are incredibly fragrant. While the hotel visibly shows its age, the room was reasonably clean. I understand it's an older property, but I'd really suggest upgrading the showerhead in the bathroom. The water pressure was so strong it hurt to shower, and the faucet splashed everywhere when turned on. Breakfast felt chaotic, perhaps because it was a busy time. It was far from a 5-star hotel experience; more like eating at a fast-food joint. There were no utensils at the tables, just a paper placemat. I had to wander around looking for chopsticks. Some of the food was cold, which didn't match the hotel's caliber. They were still using a paper list to manage things, which led to a mix-up and I even witnessed an argument. It's definitely time to implement an electronic system.

The location is fantastic! It's only a five-minute walk to Cuihu Lake if you take the small alley next to the hotel. The facilities are very comprehensive, and it's so convenient that you can even pop back to the hotel for a rest if you get tired sightseeing during the day.

The hotel is right by Cuihu Lake, which made it super convenient to drop off our luggage and head straight out for a walk in the afternoon. The room was very comfortable, and the staff were warm and patient. We sent clothes for laundry for the next day, and they were quickly washed and dried. They even thoughtfully sent coffee and a small bracelet as a gift. Overall, the check-in experience was fantastic, I really loved it ✌️

Having stayed at many Atour hotels, this one is arguably the most luxurious I've ever stayed at. The public areas are grand and impressive, with an atmosphere that rivals even some Atour 3.6 hotels in first-tier cities. The lobby features a water feature paired with pine trees, creating a Zen-like elegance. The reading and relaxation area is stylish and sophisticated. The gym and laundry room are spacious and offer a great experience. The guest rooms are simply yet elegantly decorated with meticulous attention to detail. The bedding is comfortable, the projector provides a fantastic movie-watching experience, the bathroom is thoughtfully equipped, and the toiletries are clean and exquisite. The room is impeccably clean and has a comfortable layout. The breakfast is high-quality and offers a wide variety of options. The specialty tofu pudding stall is particularly outstanding, making for a very pleasant dining experience. The reception staff are friendly and patient, resolving any issues quickly and efficiently. The location is also superb, very close to the old street and Shuncheng, just a ten-minute taxi ride away. It's also within walking distance of Green Lake, making transportation extremely convenient. Choosing this hotel for a trip to Kunming is simply a dream come true, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kunming. 👍

I highly recommend the Hometel on Youth Road! The location is excellent, with super convenient transportation, and plenty of dining options and supermarkets nearby, making it easy to get around and explore. From the moment you step in, you'll feel the thoughtful and attentive service; the staff are gentle, friendly, and genuinely warm. The room is clean and refreshing, with a well-organized and rational layout that gives off a cozy, home-like feel. The bedding is soft and comfortable, the bathroom is spotless and odor-free, and hot water is reliably available 24/7. The hotel's overall environment is quiet and elegant, away from the hustle and bustle, making for a relaxing and pleasant stay. The value for money is excellent, offering a superb experience for an affordable price. My entire stay was comfortable and carefree, a truly fulfilling experience. It's an excellent choice for short stays and definitely worth returning to.

This Atour hotel seems to be a renovated property, as some of the furniture looks a bit dated. However, I always choose Atour for their incredibly comfortable mattresses and pillows, and this stay was no exception! The location is excellent, very close to Cuihu Park with plenty of dining options nearby, making it super convenient. We had a family room, and the kids slept soundly on the big bed. There are also local breakfast spots in the surrounding alleyways, which gives you a real taste of the local life. Late check-out until 2 PM was also a nice bonus.
