Hotels in Cuihu District, Kunming

My partner and I came to Yunnan for our honeymoon during the off-peak season. The front desk lady added me on WeChat beforehand to ask about our preferences and any special requirements. The concierge even thoughtfully sent us directions to the hotel. I have to say, Kunming really has so much delicious food! It's our first time here, and it feels like we could spend several days just exploring this area. **Facilities:** The overall furnishings are quite tasteful. Although the decor and history of this place feel quite dated, you can tell a lot of effort went into it. All the furniture is made of rosewood, and it's clear that the design of the pavilions, terraces, and soft furnishings perfectly aligns with Chinese aesthetics. It's truly beautiful, as if every scene was specifically designed by a professional. There's a really, really large executive lounge that's perfect for photos – it feels more like an upscale business club. It's also great for families and friends! Every single staff member's service was truly exceptional. They enthusiastically greeted us every time they saw us 😄 It was a very, very satisfying experience!

The room was quite spacious, and the large windows let the sun stream onto the bed, which was incredibly comfortable. Even the hallway had windows, so it didn't feel cramped or stuffy, and the air circulation felt much better. The front desk staff, especially one lady, was exceptionally warm and friendly – I felt very welcome. The rice noodles at breakfast were even better than those outside, and you could customize the toppings to your liking. The hotel is conveniently located right behind Cuihu Lake, and it's a short 5-minute walk to the Military Academy and Yunnan University. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend it to friends.

The front desk staff, especially the young lady, had an amazing service attitude. Before we left, she even prepared a small gift for us. She was incredibly responsive to all our requests and even upgraded our room for free. The room design was very minimalist with a touch of Chinese style, and upon entering, there were fresh flowers and flower-shaped pastries, plus a tea set. We had a very comfortable stay. The only downsides were that the smart water dispenser wasn't very convenient; the cold water seemed to be tap water, making it less useful than a regular kettle. Also, some of the facilities were of average quality, like the drying rack which felt like it would collapse at any moment. The location was excellent, within walking distance to Cuihu Park, and the surrounding area was pleasant. Overall, it was a very good experience.

This was my first time staying at a hostel from this chain, the one near Kunming's Zhuanxin Farmers Market, and I remember it had a beautiful bougainvillea bush! I chose Qincheng Hostel again, this time picking this specific branch because it's super close to Cuihu Lake, Wenlin Street, and Yunnan University. Their restaurant offers a great variety of food and drinks, and I particularly love their curry beef rice. There are activities every day, and especially on Saturday nights, they have a concert. The singer's voice is unique and beautiful, and listening to music in their cozy bar is just the most comfortable experience. 'Hei Mu Ya' (Blackwood Cliff) is their elevated platform, nestled among huge eucalyptus trees. It's really peaceful on rainy days and nice and cool when it's hot.

Just looking for one night's accommodation before heading to the airport when I stumbled onto this gem. Location. Very near to the cafe streets (forgot the name, but not the one near green lake park). I think it's a new place. Lots of people taking photos Hotel and room gives off a Japanese/orient style vibe. Bed was a bit hard for me. Shower was strong and good. For some reason, there's a little bit of bad smell (hope they can fix it). And as usual as in all hotels in China, the rooms are ”smoking ok” so there will be some leftover cigarette smoke smell no matter how they clean it. Will stay here again if I ever go to Kunming again!

The room was spotless and well-equipped. The projector was great for watching TV at night, providing a fantastic experience. The front desk staff were very helpful and enthusiastic, always ready to answer any questions. The lobby is also quite unique, with lots of plants that make the air feel fresh. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kunming and have already recommended it to my friends. The location is unbeatable – it's right next to Kunming Old Street, Jinma Biji Archway, and Nanqiang Night Market, making it super convenient for eating and exploring.

So glad I chose this hotel! Liruide Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. Its location is fantastic, just a short walk from Cuihu Park (unlike many other hotels that claim to be near but are much further). There are also countless excellent restaurants and shops nearby, offering plenty of choices. The hotel itself is superb. Being on a high floor, the Sky Bar and restaurant on the 19th floor offer panoramic views of Cuihu Park and the beautiful cityscape of Kunming. If you book a lake view room, you can enjoy the stunning views of Cuihu Lake right from your room, which was a wonderful surprise. The hotel's decor, with its strong contrast of classic black, red, and grey, feels modern, stylish, and tasteful from the moment you step into the lobby. I especially loved the ”ENJOY IT” neon signs in the lobby and restaurant; indeed, you can truly enjoy all the beauty Liruide has to offer. My room, though not large, was incredibly comfortable. The bedding ensured a good night's sleep. It was spotlessly clean, and the shower had great water pressure and hot water, draining super fast (many hotels struggle with drainage, but Liruide nailed this detail). The smart toilet was a nice bonus. While breakfast wasn't lavish, it featured local Yunnan specialties and was more than sufficient. A freshly made rice noodle roll with a generous topping of braised meat was the perfect way to start a day full of energy. What truly touched me was the friendly and thoughtful staff. After checking out, I had a video conference in the lobby, and a staff member specially lowered the lobby music volume for me and kindly brought a bottle of water. A huge thank you to Mr. Curry at the front desk for his meticulous service. Your kind and warm attention made us feel as comfortable and wonderful as if we were home, which is a rare treat for those of us constantly on the go. Oh, and the rose petal shortbread offered at check-in was absolutely delicious! The rich rose fragrance bloomed in my mouth with just the right touch of sweetness – unforgettable. For parking, you can drive onto the sidewalk, inform the front desk, and a staff member will immediately valet park your car. After a two-day stay, my experience was simply perfect. The next time I'm in Kunming for business, I'll definitely book here in advance to enjoy it all again.

This Hanting stay was a real surprise! The hotel is brand new, so all the facilities and equipment are excellent and modern. There's a coffee machine in the lobby on the first floor, so you can enjoy unlimited coffee. The room comes with 4 complimentary bottles of mineral water, which is great, and if you need more, just call the front desk and they'll bring it right up. They even have robots to deliver takeout directly to your room, which is super convenient. I also appreciated that you need to swipe your card for the elevator – it definitely made me feel more secure. On the 4th floor, there's the hotel restaurant, laundry room, and a terrace, which was lovely to sit on in the evening given the current weather. On check-out day, it was raining, and the front desk staff proactively offered us a free umbrella because they saw we didn't have one – that was incredibly thoughtful! Even the mineral water was warm, haha. Plus, Cuihu Park is just a short walk away. The facilities, location, cleanliness, and service are all impeccable, and it offers amazing value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kunming. Finally, I wish the hotel great success!

Convenient location, spotless cleanliness, and attentive service – this hotel is a no-brainer! There are tons of great restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and tidy, with excellent soundproofing, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the hot water in the bathroom came on instantly, and the toiletries were of good quality. All the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions, and check-in/check-out was very quick. The value for money is just incredible!
