Hotels in Railway Station Area, Kunming

Arrived from Beijing in the morning, reached the hotel past 11 AM. This floor seems to have several hotels, we were on an upper floor, can't quite remember which one. For a transitional hotel, it was excellent. The room was quite spacious, and the bed was comfortable with a latex pillow. Ordered takeout in the morning and it was delivered right to our room door. Thumbs up!

This was my first stay at the Yuntong Hotel, and while I had some reservations after reading reviews online, all my concerns were completely gone after checking in. First off, the staff were incredibly friendly and the check-in process was very quick. The hotel also has an elevator, which is a big plus. I booked a room with a window, and it was well-equipped and I was very satisfied with it—no strange odors, and a simple yet elegant decor. The overall experience was great, the price was reasonable, and it offers excellent value for money. It's also very close to Kunming Station, and there are a few snack shops on the way there where you can grab breakfast. Overall, I'm very pleased. I'll definitely stay at Yuntong Hotel again next time I'm in Kunming.

The front desk staff were warm and efficient. We got an upgrade to a better room, which offered even more beautiful views of Kunming. The breakfast was a real local treat, with delicious grilled Erkuai, steamed Ersi, rice noodles, and Xidoufen (pea jelly). The cakes sold in the lobby were also very tasty and reasonably priced, with a buy-one-get-one-free offer after 6 PM. The only downside was that the room facilities were a bit old, but that's understandable for an older five-star hotel. It's only a 10-minute walk from Kunming Station. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kunming.

Let's start with the exterior environment: The hotel's location is excellent, not far from the subway station and Kunming Railway Station, making travel quite convenient. There are also plenty of dining options nearby. Now for the interior environment: The facilities are well-equipped, and the hygiene is impeccable. The rooms come with a mini-fridge and a direct drinking water system, and it's very quiet. My only personal dislike is the dark gray color scheme indoors. Finally, about the service: The staff are friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is clean with a good variety of options. Overall, it's a very nice hotel.

Perfect for our group visit to Kunming! The Ibis was clean, comfortable, and in a super convenient location near transport links. The staff were friendly and the rooms, though not huge, had everything we needed. The reliable free Wi-Fi was a bonus. For a practical, affordable, and stress-free stay with family or friends, I highly recommend it.

The hotel butler contacted us a day in advance and added us on WeChat to send directions, which was very convenient for communication. The hotel facilities are complete, the bedding is comfortable, and the shower has great water pressure. There are eight breakfast sets in total: five are mainly rice noodles, one is noodles, one is congee, and one is pasta and sandwiches. The hotel is conveniently located; it's right next to Jinma Biji Square, a 500-meter walk to Kunming Old Street, and 1.2 kilometers to Cuihu Park.

A friend recommended this B&B, and my family and I chose it for Chinese New Year. It really exceeded our expectations! The rooms and common areas are beautifully decorated, and the rooms themselves are spacious and clean. The little courtyard is very quiet. The staff, both the guys and girls, were all super enthusiastic. Before we even checked in, someone helped us take our luggage to our room, which was a really thoughtful touch. The breakfast rice noodles were incredibly delicious, and it was great that they could bring afternoon tea directly to our room. I'd definitely choose this place again for my next visit!

This hotel is really close to Kunming Station, which is super convenient if you're traveling by train. The bedding was spotless, and they have a laundry room and even a little robot that delivers things to your room. The breakfast selection was probably decent, but all the food was just lukewarm. When I booked through Ctrip, it said I could get a free room upgrade. But when I asked the front desk lady at check-in, she looked really put out and said an upgrade wasn't possible. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated, as there were constant minor repairs happening. I started experiencing allergies after three days, and as someone prone to allergies, it was really uncomfortable. I stayed for 5 days and they didn't change the bedding once. Usually, it gets changed every three days, which I generally support for environmental reasons. There are two elevators, but they don't seem to be linked. Most people press both buttons, which feels a bit inefficient. And the shower door design is pretty strange – it faces directly towards the bed, and there's a wide gap, so if two people are staying, there's absolutely no privacy when showering. A little awkward, to say the least.

The location was easy to find. Check-in at the lobby was quick, and the front desk staff immediately offered us small oranges. The cleanliness was up to par, with no issues found. We stayed on the 5th floor, and apart from the excited voices of some children in the hallway when they first returned in the evening, there was no other significant noise. We stayed for two nights, and Miss Xiaoyuan at the front desk was always helpful and prompt in assisting me with all my needs during our stay.
