I chose this hotel for my trip to Kunming to see the seagulls. It's super convenient, only a few hundred meters from Kunming Railway Station, and there's plenty of transportation and food options nearby. Since it was the off-season, the hotel even gave me a complimentary room upgrade. The room was really big and spacious, quite comfortable, and the cleanliness was also good. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Hardware and Environment The hotel's public areas and guest room hardware meet five-star standards. The 29th-floor sun-facing room I stayed in this time features non-carpeted flooring. Under the intense sunlight conditions of Kunming, this material choice offers significant advantages: no risk of old fabric odors accumulating and effective prevention of dust sensitivity issues caused by sun exposure. This is particularly friendly for guests with respiratory sensitivities and multi-generational families. In contrast, while the hotel's carpeted rooms of the same grade and sun-facing orientation are well-maintained, it's still difficult to completely avoid the physical and chemical reactions that fibrous materials undergo under continuous sunlight. Service Response and Incident Handling Early in my stay, a sudden issue related to room cleaning and maintenance occurred. The housekeeping team arrived on site within 3 minutes, initiating an emergency response plan. The duty manager simultaneously offered two equivalent alternative rooms for on-site evaluation. A comparison revealed that the sun-facing carpeted room had an inherent material odor, while my original room, due to its non-carpeted material and high-floor ventilation advantages, demonstrated greater stability in terms of aerodynamic performance. Throughout this process, the hotel exhibited a standard emergency protocol, objective room status disclosure, and respect for the customer's decision-making, not allowing the execution of the plan to override practical living considerations. Dining and Wellness Observations The executive lounge maintained a consistent standard of offerings, with good localization (e.g., classic fresh flower cakes). The 24-hour gym had staff on duty at night, and equipment was well-maintained, though some resistance adjustments on certain machines suffered from a common industry-wide delay. Breakfast options are slightly monotonous compared to five-star standards and the hotel's category. Suggest expanding to 35+ items, though fewer options are understandable during off-peak seasons with fewer guests. Overall Rating: The hotel demonstrated a mature emergency response matrix and transparent information handling capabilities when dealing with unexpected situations. More importantly, its room material configuration rationally adapts to the regional climate conditions. In a high-humidity, high-sunlight environment, the non-carpeted rooms showed distinct environmental stability advantages. I recommend the hotel strengthen the promotion of this differentiated highlight, especially targeting families and business travelers sensitive to materials.

My stay this time absolutely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I felt right at home. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly, check-in was super efficient, and they thoughtfully provided tips on local attractions and restaurants. The room was beautifully appointed and incredibly cozy. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable – every corner was spotless. The hotel also boasts an excellent location, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, with shopping districts and subway stations all within easy walking distance. I highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

First off, let's talk about the location. It's an excellent spot, just a 5-minute walk from Kunming Station! The hotel's front desk and the accommodation building are right next to each other. After checking in at the hotel, you can use one of the four elevators conveniently located nearby. I checked into the room quite late, so I didn't take any fresh photos. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a simple yet pleasant decor, and it was very clean. The bathroom step was a bit high, which might be inconvenient for the elderly and children. The city view from the window was unobstructed! I personally prefer a slightly firmer mattress, but the one here was just right – not too soft, not too hard – which was great! The front desk service was also excellent! They even helped me with a late check-out! I highly recommend choosing this place! I'll definitely be staying here again next time.

First things first: The hospital near the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, likely until late October. Construction starts around 8 AM daily. Higher floors might offer some relief, but light sleepers, even with earplugs, might still be affected. It’s definitely something to consider. Our initial plan was to stay somewhere with direct subway access and close to a snack street, which led us to choose this location near Tangzixiang subway station. Since Ibis is part of the HUAZHU Hotels Group, we felt confident in the quality and booked it directly. We arrived on a late-night flight, so our options were either bus or taxi. Taking the bus would still require a taxi from Kunming Station. A ride-hailing service from the airport directly to the hotel, including highway tolls, cost about 65-70 RMB. The front desk offers 24-hour check-in. Interestingly, there was only a 10 RMB difference between booking in advance and on the day. Keep in mind that advance bookings typically cannot be canceled after 11 PM the night before. We opted for the standard double room, which felt a bit cramped. Once our luggage was open, there was hardly any space left. The shower area had a wet/dry separation, and basic amenities were provided. If anything was missing, we could order it via phone for free delivery. There were no regular slippers in the room, which was inconvenient for showering; we had to request them. Despite being a budget hotel, the soundproofing was decent. The hotel offers luggage storage and umbrella rental. The sour plum juice at the front desk was delicious. There are plenty of takeout options near the hotel. I highly recommend Tiepeng Xiaoguo Mixian. Overall, for around 200 RMB, the price is acceptable, and the service is very good. However, the rooms are just average, so you might want to explore other options.

QWe stayed here once we arrived the city , then went up north and we decided to come back because it's so right to stay We had a really good stay here, especially because of the location. It’s only about a 5-minute walk to Kunming Railway Station, which made traveling super convenient for us. The hotel itself is located on the 14th floor with 4 elevators that run quickly, so getting in and out was easy. There’s a supermarket on the ground floor and the area is surrounded by restaurants, plus Luckin Coffee and Cotti are just around the corner — perfect for grabbing something in the morning. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we really liked that there were two washbasins — very convenient when traveling as a group. The bathroom was a good size, and the huge projector screen was a fun touch. The view from the room was great too — you can see Kunming Railway Station right in front of you, which reminds you just how close it is. There’s no breakfast or full restaurant, but there is a small reception counter and the staff there were really lovely and helpful. Overall, we felt the price was very good value for money. Comfortable room, super convenient location, and everything we needed for a smooth stay. Would definitely stay again!

The location is convenient, close to Kunming Station and bus stops. I appreciate Mr. Fu at the front desk for the complimentary room upgrade to the Executive Floor; the room was lovely, and the view was great. However, the complimentary white fungus soup offered at 9:30 PM was already cold and tasted even worse than water. The breakfast was a letdown. It's served in the revolving restaurant on the 21st floor, supposedly until 11 AM. When I went at 9:15 AM, some food items were not being refilled, and most of the food, including the boiled eggs, was cold. It was quite unappetizing. The restaurant staff were all equally indifferent. The omelet prepared by the chef (pictured in image 3) was unexpectedly poor. Fortunately, I encountered server Jiang Deqiao. She was kind, polite, and always smiling. Besides her floor duties, she also helped prepare rice noodles and omelets (pictured in image 4). After I finished eating, she even checked in to see if I was satisfied with the food. I hope the hotel recognizes and values this sincere and hardworking employee, Ms. Jiang. Overall, the hotel has four-star facilities.

The service was warm and the front desk staff were very polite. The room was clean and tidy, with all facilities well-maintained, and both lighting and ventilation were excellent. The location is superb, very convenient for transport, right next to Kunming Station. You can easily hail a taxi right outside, there's a bus stop, and it's also very close to the subway entrance.

The hotel is easy to find, with a wide variety of dining options nearby that cater to basic needs. The facilities are comprehensive, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable with great views. It's very clean, and only about a fifteen-minute walk from Kunming Railway Station.

I was really satisfied with the hotel I stayed at during my trip to Kunming! 👍 The hygiene was excellent, and the hotel's location was great. Just a few minutes' walk downstairs and you can find delicious local food, and the prices are fantastic 🤩. The room had a floor-to-ceiling window which let in a lot of natural light 👍. The bed was very comfortable 😌. After a long day of shopping, it was so relaxing to come back and just lie down at the hotel 😎. There's so much more to say, but I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Kunming! 👍
