GGuest UserThis place has hands down been the most memorable stay we have ever had! As a couple traveling for the first time in China, Yukong, his family, and friends gave us a feeling of home and took care of us in a way we never experienced from a homestay.
The house itself is build by Yukong's grandparents 70 years ago, and is placed in the middle of a Kiwi farm on the mountains outside Leye city. We shared great meals together every night in front of the fireplace with the boiling soup bowl at the center. Friends and family of the house even cared for bringing all sorts of classical Chinese instruments to the house to play traditional folk music for us - something we will never forget! Together we sang karaoke, drank rice wine, laughed and had great talks, despite of the language barrier. One could tell that our well being mattered to all of them, and that they wanted us to experience and understand their culture.
Yukong and his brother even joined us for a hike in the nearby geopark and helped us with litterarly everything regarding planning and activities (which was so helpful, as none of us speaks Chinese). They took so much time off their hands to help us getting around and showed us the most wonderful local tourist attractions and great places to eat. The area has a lot to offer, and we were amazed that we seemed to have it all to ourselves.
If you are in Guangxi, or anywhere else in China, for that matter, do yourself a favor and book a stay here. It is something you will remember for a long time. The nature, the culture, and especially the family you are gonna stay with, are wonderful.
GGuest UserThere is nothing blatantly wrong with the hotel except I do not think I was treated fairly. When I reserved the room a month again, I put in a special request for higher floor. I understand the request is not a guarantee, but when someone else checking in before me with the same type of room, asked for higher floor and got a room, while I had requested that for a month and yet my request could not be granted? That can only mean one thing: they never check your special request nor do they bother to take note of it! If that is the attitude of the hotel, it only implies that they act as if they care, but they don't. To me, I may never choose to stay in Vienna anymore.
DDalianmuniaoI checked into the Cliff Hotel with great excitement, but the weather was not good. There was too much fog and I couldn't see anything. I suggest you don't come here in February or March. I'd comment on the service. Check-in was very convenient. You need to exchange your pass at the Dashiwei ticket office and then drive up the mountain. It takes about 40 minutes and you need an experienced driver as the road is very difficult to drive. The room was quite warm and not too big. There was half a chicken hotpot for breakfast, which only took ten minutes to boil and the soup was very delicious. There is also barbecue, with quite a few skewers, enough for three people. It is very close to Tianzhou Yunhai, and it takes more than ten minutes to drive to Dongji Peak and Mafeng Cave. I didn’t see the tiankeng scenery on February 24, but I did play the tiankeng Fengzidang rappelling and saw the Mafeng Cave, so it was worth the trip. I hope I’ll have the chance to explore the pit again in this lifetime.
GGuest UserOn our road trip through Jingxi, we were fortunate enough to book the Yun Man Man Hotel. Situated directly opposite Jinxiu Ancient Town, the hotel's design and ambiance are incredibly elegant. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt exceptionally comfortable – it truly exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tidy, featuring high-end Hansgrohe and Duravit bathroom fixtures, which clearly reflects the owner's dedication. The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, always ready to assist, and even provided a complimentary afternoon tea. After checking in, we enjoyed our afternoon tea at the beautiful rooftop cafe; the tea itself was incredibly refined – absolutely wonderful! The room was wonderfully quiet at night, and the bedding was excellent. I usually struggle with sleep, but here I slept like a baby until morning, which was a huge bonus! Breakfast on the first floor offered a fantastic blend of Chinese and Western options, perfectly balanced and genuinely to my liking. I don't usually leave reviews, but this hidden gem of a hotel truly deserves my highest recommendation!
MM19658****The hotel boasts a great location, right next to Jinxiu Ancient Town, just a 5-minute walk away. It's also only a 6-7 minute walk to the Lion Night Market. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is quite good. Overall, it's highly recommended! 👍
AAnonymous UserThe location is easy to find, just a few minutes from the highway exit, with convenient transportation and quick access to nearby attractions. There are also plenty of parking spaces. The lobby is spacious, the front desk staff are friendly and patient in answering questions, and there are also travel guides for the surrounding area available. The room is large, probably around [square meters], which is sufficient for a short stay.
GGuest UserThe environment of this hotel is really good, the overall feeling is clean and tidy, and it is very comfortable to live in. Parking is also very convenient, parking is sufficient and free, especially friendly to self-driving tourists. I especially want to thank the housekeeper! Seeing that we stayed with the dog, we not only welcomed us warmly, but also took the initiative to help upgrade a large suite room type for free, so that our Mao children can also have more spacious activity space. This pet-friendly and attentive service is really moving. The overall experience is very good, I will definitely come back next time I have a chance ~^_^ The environment of this hotel is really good, the overall feeling is clean and tidy, and it is very comfortable to live in. AAnonymous UserThe B&B is located right at the entrance of the scenic area. The hostess was very thoughtful (helped with tickets and offered a bamboo raft experience). However, there were cleanliness issues in the room, specifically a strange odor from the bedside table and toilet. I suggest improving the cleaning to avoid affecting the guest experience.
AAnsonxiaoanshenThe hotel is not in the center of the county, but the county is small and it is only a few minutes' drive to the center. There are many restaurants around the hotel, as well as convenience stores, massage and bath shops. The room is comfortable and quiet, and I didn't feel the farmer's market below was noisy. The hotel service is good and the staff is polite, especially the male staff, because my mother is elderly and it is inconvenient to take a bath, he helped my mother get a chair to take a bath in the room.
HHuimouyaThis hotel is absolutely amazing! The rooms are simple yet clean and incredibly comfortable – super comfortable! It has all the amenities you need, so you don't need to bring anything extra, which is so convenient! The best part is that it's super close to the scenic area, just a few minutes' walk away. No need to rush around every day; you can wake up and go straight to the attractions – a truly fantastic experience! I've already recommended it to my friends, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!
