"It's not possible to not give a perfect score to this homestay.The owner couple is so hospitable and genuinely warm.Due to the low season, I was upgraded to a bigger room with a great view of the padi fields. Room is tastefully decorated, very clean, warm, just that there's no separation of wet and dry area in the bathroom. The breakfast was superb with fresh starbucks capsule coffee available. There's a nice cafe opposite the homestay and bus station to the nearby Tang An village (for stunning terrace views) is only a short walk away."

"A very satisfying stay! The guesthouse is very close to Rentuan Drum Tower, offering a quiet and comfortable escape from the hustle and bustle. The room has large floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a panoramic view of the entire Dong village. The bathroom has a well-designed wet and dry separation, is spotless, and has all the necessary toiletries. The owner is kind and hospitable, even providing free pick-up and drop-off service from the high-speed rail station – so heartwarming! I'll definitely stay here again next time!"

The owner even upgraded our room for free and provided complimentary pick-up and drop-off at the station, even helping with our luggage. Since we visited in winter, they kindly reminded us about the large temperature fluctuations between morning and evening, providing attentive service throughout our stay. Upon arrival, they gave us recommendations and explained the local attractions, answering all our questions and promptly addressing any issues. When we left, they even gave us local specialties as a gift. This is a perfect guesthouse, and I'll definitely choose it again on my next visit.

The pickup vehicle and driver were also waiting on time, providing excellent service. The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom glass door was sparkling, and the view from the window was lovely. The toiletries in the room were comprehensive, all from good brands, and they even provided a disposable bathtub liner, alcohol spray, laundry detergent, and moisturizing spray. The safety measures were also top-notch; it was my first time seeing a room equipped with not only full fire safety facilities but also an escape rope. The breakfast was well-balanced and delicious. Most importantly, the price was affordable, and it's pet-friendly with no extra cleaning fees! I truly hope this generous guesthouse expands and thrives, opening more locations in other places to give pet-owning road trippers like us more options. Please don't let those who try to take advantage and lack manners ruin your spirit. Just a small suggestion: put up two signs at the turn-off for the hotel, and add a few lights on the uphill path, as it's very dark walking back at night and easy to miss which turn it is!

MM875063****This guesthouse is absolutely amazing! The windows are huge, offering a fantastic view of green terraced fields outside, and the air is incredibly fresh.
The location of the guesthouse is superb, with a convenient shuttle service. It's right in the heart of the Dong village, just a few steps from the lively main street, where you'll find all sorts of unique shops and food stalls. It's super easy to pick up souvenirs or try local delicacies. Yet, despite being so central, the guesthouse itself is a peaceful oasis; it's wonderfully quiet at night, completely undisturbed by any outside noise.
And the service? The staff are all incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. When we checked in, the front desk gave us a detailed guide to exploring the Dong village, recommending many lesser-known but beautiful photo spots and local eateries that only residents would know about. During our stay, they were always quick to respond to any requests, which was really thoughtful. The room itself was spotless, very cozy, with comfortable bedding and all the necessary amenities – a truly comfortable stay.
All in all, whether it's the location or the service, this guesthouse is impeccable. It added so many wonderful memories to my trip to Zhaoxing Dong Village. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at this charming guesthouse. Mr. Lu, the owner, is incredibly kind and welcoming. He truly goes above and beyond for his guests. He even arranged a driver for us to visit nearby villages and personally accompanied us during the visits, which made the experience even more special and authentic. He also picked us up from the train station and dropped us off there, which was very much appreciated.
His wife is also very warm and friendly, and together they create a lovely, home like atmosphere. The breakfasts were delicious, and the location of the hotel is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.
The only small downside was that we happened to visit during a period of construction, so our room had a view of the works. However, this was just bad timing and did not take away from our overall experience.
As a memorable highlight, Lu played and sang a traditional Dong song for us, which was absolutely magical and something we will never forget.
We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a genuine and heartfelt stay.

JJohn Charles ChasteenThe Creekside Inn has modern, elegantly designed rooms (I can’t emphasize that enough), a very good location with beautiful views, and a friendly, capable staff, that truly goes out of its way to be helpful— all of this at quite favorable prices. The water is hot and the bed is heated for winter in the mountains. I stayed four days, and would’ve stayed longer had I had time, just because I felt so wonderfully at home there. I left with plans to return with my wife next year. English spoken. Oh，and I got a splendid breakfast tailored to my individual dietary requirements! I have visited 35 countries and traveled all over China, and I have never been happier with my accommodations anywhere!

There are many delicious restaurants nearby, and the main street is right across the Flower Bridge, making it very convenient to go out for dinner! In short, it is highly recommended.

AAnonymous UserI came to Zhaoxing Dong Village specifically to experience the Dong New Year and immerse myself in its festive atmosphere. The guesthouse is located near the Lituan Drum Tower; it's easy to find using a map, and the main street is just a short walk away. The rooms were clean and tidy, with all necessary toiletries provided. It was very quiet at night, and the landlady was warm and friendly. The Dong New Year parade, the traditional rice-making activity, the long table banquet, the Lusheng (a type of reed pipe instrument) competition, and the bonfire party were all part of the vibrant activities. I experienced the customs and traditions of the Dong people in southeastern Guizhou Province – a truly worthwhile trip. Finally, congratulations to the Lituan team for winning the Lusheng competition!

Great coffeshop on road nearby whose owner has perfect English ( and great coffee) who was a mine of information on local places to visit.

QQumatouzhengdianshutiaoba2233The service was excellent, the landlady was very friendly and kind. For the price, the facilities and scenery were exceptional, making it very cost-effective. The landlady readily upgraded our room because of the view of the rice paddies from the window. However, there are many hidden costs in this scenic area. Although the owner provided pick-up from the train station, you still need to pay an additional 20 yuan to get to the high-speed rail station. Parking at the entrance costs 20 yuan, and the daily entrance fee is 80 yuan. If you want to visit the rice terraces, you need to pay for a sightseeing bus. Personally, I didn't find any good food inside the scenic area.
In short, unless you have a strong fascination with the architecture of Guizhou's ethnic minorities, I wouldn't recommend coming here.

GGraceI read the reviews and said it was very good. After coming here, I was not disappointed. A hotel with a very artistic feel and ethnic characteristics. Seeing that I had a big boy with me, the landlady upgraded us to a double room, loft, and tatami for free. The child was very happy to live upstairs. The proprietress is very nice. Entry and exit are prohibited in the village at 19 o'clock. We got off the high-speed train a little late and could not pick up the car. When we left, the village issued new regulations that did not allow us to pick up tourists. The proprietress found a car to take us off with her own money. She told us along the way to contact us at any time. , give the boss lady a thumbs up!
