ZhishangshenyouI stayed in Toyama for two nights to visit Tateyama Kurobe. The hotel is very close to Toyama Station and Toyama Chiho Railway (which I took to Tateyama the next day). From Toyama Station, turn right and walk to the main road, then cross the street, and you're there.
Right across from the hotel is a large shopping mall and Toyama Bay Shokudo, where we had a delicious seafood rice bowl.
The hotel service was decent. You can pick up toiletries in the lobby, and each floor has a water dispenser. The room also came with a capsule coffee machine, and the room was clean and well-maintained.
Upon arrival, you can ask the front desk for a city tram ticket (pictured in Figure 2). Each ticket is valid for two uses. We used it to take the tram to and from the Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art. You can walk to the Canal Park & Fugan Unga Kansui Park.

The hotel is conveniently located near Toyama Station. Downstairs, there's a Japanese restaurant and a sushi place, but unfortunately, neither accepts reservations, so you have to queue. There's also a convenience store on the first floor. The front desk is on the second floor, where you can pick up toothbrushes, toothpaste, makeup remover, skincare, tea bags, drip coffee, and bath salts – a really good selection. You need your room card to access the elevators. The room itself is a bit small but quite new, and the layout is pretty efficient. My only complaint is the narrow and long entryway; with a 24-inch suitcase open, only one person can pass through at a time. It would be perfect if that hallway were a bit wider. The bathroom gets a huge thumbs-up! It's spacious, with a separate bathtub and shower, and the shower floor dries very quickly. For room cleaning, you need to put a sign on your door. If you only need fresh towels and trash emptied, you can leave them outside your door in the morning, and they'll hang new ones on the doorknob. They provide two bottles of water daily. Toyama Castle and the 'most beautiful Starbucks' are both within walking distance.

Anonymous UserJust a short walk from the exit of Toyama station, turn left then go up an escalator, the hotel is on the left. I stayed for a nite in Toyama. Before i checkout from hotel, I went to Iwasehama Beach. I was only managed to onboard a 0831 tram back to Toyama station. By the time I arrived @Toyama station it was 0901. Thank goodness i booked this hotel and without missing my train @0925 to Osaka. Highly recommended. If I am coming back to Toyama definitely will stay @this hotel again. In addition to this, lots of eateries around the hotel too.

The hotel said they had a car to pick up the hotel...but the only problem was that I couldn't get through by phone...I almost had to walk from Tateyama Station to the hotel. Fortunately, a hotel shuttle bus came...otherwise, I would have been exhausted walking up the mountain to the hotel...I suggest that the hotel put the shuttle service time information online so that guests can easily understand it. The hotel was very good. There was a domestic service staff in the restaurant who explained everything in Chinese, which was really considerate.

Anonymous UserIt's conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Toyama Station, near Toyama Castle ruins and the Glass Museum.
The tram station is also nearby, making getting around easy.
Apparently, you can choose your pillow, but when I looked, there was only one.
There were two pillows on one bed in the room, which was sufficient.
The welcome drink bar only had drinks; there were no snacks.
Breakfast was delicious. I especially liked the kinpira (braised burdock root and carrot).

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Toyama Station, which is quite convenient. The facilities seem a bit old, especially the mattress in the room, which was too soft – probably due to age. They offer free coffee and drinks. Breakfast is served on the top floor with a great ambiance and a good variety of dishes. The hotel price is affordable, so overall, it's excellent value for money.

The front desk staff were super friendly! I accidentally booked a smoking room, but they kindly helped me switch to a non-smoking one. They offer free ramen in the evenings, and there's complimentary whiskey, red wine, and ice cream in the lobby – I couldn't resist having ice cream twice, haha. The location is really convenient; Toyama isn't very big, so you can easily walk to a few famous attractions. If you're visiting Toyama Castle, definitely pop over to the city hall's observation deck for a panoramic view of Toyama, the distant snow-capped mountains are absolutely stunning.

Great hotel, though the room felt a bit dated, it was comfortable. The TV turned on by itself at 5 AM 😣… The staff were really pleasant and welcoming. Free parking available right in front of the hotel.

The hotel is next to Toyama Station. It is said to be in Showa style. The decoration is old and you need a key to open the door. The walls of the room are not very clean, but the price is relatively cheap. The quilt does not have a quilt cover, which feels unhygienic.

danthetravellerThis hotel is a perfect place for our one day stay. And one of the best things at this hotel is a very generous number of amenities provided to guests - bath pads, body sponge, toothbrush kit, and many others. Even though the location is a bit far from Toyama JR station, it’s not hard to find, and it’s quite walkable from the station. The lady at the reception was super nice. She reminded us of what Japanese are really like. If I get a chance to visit his tower again in the future, I would definitely come back to this hotel.
