JJames Doblekay, here's my take on Mango's Beachfront Resort in Olongapo, based on what I've seen:
If you're heading to Olongapo, especially for diving, Mango's Beachfront Resort has some definite pros. The location is right on the beach, which is a big plus, and the staff are consistently praised for being super friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good food, and you can enjoy it with a view of the ocean. They've also got a dive center right there, which is really convenient if you're planning on doing some underwater exploring.
However, be aware that the rooms can be hit-or-miss. Some of the standard rooms seem to be quite outdated and a bit rough around the edges – think things like mold and noisy AC. If you can, it's worth upgrading to a superior or king room, as those seem to be much better. Also, while it's a beachfront resort, the beach itself isn't necessarily the best for swimming. And just a heads up, there's no pool on the property.
So, to sum it up: Mango's is a good choice if you prioritize location and friendly service, especially if you're a diver. But, be sure to choose your room carefully, and don't expect a pristine beach for swimming.
GGuest UserAmong the hotels nearby... it's probably the best... but it's a pity.
Ants in the room and swimming pool. There were a lot of bugs like...
I was bitten by unknown bugs in about 10 places all over my body.
The restaurant was okay,
It was free on weekdays (there were no customers) so it was easy to use the swimming pool.
Not long after the typhoon passed, the nearby beaches were dirty.
I have no intention of revisiting. The photo and the actual product are very different, and it is not good for the price.
GGuest UserI hope our stay is ok but it's just a hassle because the other amenities listed on trip.com are not in the actual one like an electric kettle since we have an infant who cries every time we need to heat water and there is no e-kettle so we still need to go to the reception to ask for a hot water. We were charged for complementary bottled water because trip.com included it as indicated but in actuality we paid.. we told the receptionist but still he is not the owner so no choice...
IINFINIVAN, INC.I recently stayed at Samba Blue Water Resort in Olongapo City, Zambales, and I’d like to share my full experience. From the peaceful beach atmosphere to the accommodating staff, it was a stay that truly stood out — both for its strengths and for a few areas that could be improved.
The moment I arrived at Samba Blue, I could tell this wasn’t just another commercial beachfront resort. It had a laid-back, local island vibe that immediately made me feel at ease. The entrance was welcoming, check-in was smooth, and the staff made me feel like a valued guest from the start.
I stayed in one of their rooms and it offered a good balance of comfort and nature. The space was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room had the essentials I needed for a relaxing beach getaway.
The sound of the waves in the background and the breeze flowing through the resort made it easy to unwind. If you're someone who enjoys a more ”back-to-basics” island experience, you’ll probably love the rustic charm.
The beach area is the real highlight. The shoreline was clean, and there were enough shaded areas and cabanas to relax in. I loved that the resort maintained a peaceful, non-crowded vibe, even though there were several other guests staying at the same time.
The pool area and sun deck were well-maintained, and I enjoyed the acoustic night setup they had on the weekend — it was a perfect way to end the day with some live music under the stars.
They also offer water activities like jet skiing and banana boat rides, which add excitement if you’re in the mood for adventure.
GGuest UserThe staff was super attentive and courteous. I had a really nice time. The location is gorgeous and the food at the restaurant is delicious. Great value for the price. They have a pool and they do laundry for 50 pesos a kilo.
彭彭阿祖The surrounding environment of the hotel is good, just in the Subic area. But the facilities in the room are really bad. Very old. It is a very good choice if the boss can take the money to redecorate.
Sseiseki patrolIt is a cheap hotel facing the beach of Subic. When I booked an extremely cheap room, there was no air conditioner, but I lent a fan. It was a stay in March, but it was cool at night, so I was able to sleep without problems with the fan. The first floor was directly facing the beach and was a very cozy space, but on Sunday, people who seemed to be local were having a party with a rental, and it was difficult to spend a leisurely time.
Amenities were only soap, no hot water heater, no cup.
GGuest UserThe Suzuki hotel is ideally located with direct beach access. The staff are friendly and attentive.
Breakfast was very good. Executive rooms spacious with water views
Only negative is the hotel has functions with large attendance with karaoke and music that is VERY loud, so loud the noise resonated through the room until 1am weeknights.
YYangThe way I went to Benang by myself, so it was a bit complicated, but it's easy to get to the car. The exterior and facilities are old and old, but it is right next to the sea, so there is a advantage to go out to the beach at any time. When you come to family trips, children go to sand play and have a small pool. Food, water and drinks are not allowed to be brought from outside, so you should use the bar and restaurant in the resort. You have to walk about 100 meters to the 7-Eleven convenience store. Most meals are enjoyable between 300-400PESO and have a cocktail at night and have a good sea view. However, it is good to prepare because there are many bugs and mosquitoes
