MMelanie TomOur stay at the Artisan was wonderful. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and worked with pride in their jobs. The lobby with a fireplace was great. We loved the ease of walking directly from the hotel lobby into Tuscan Grille for a fantastic dinner. We also enjoyed breakfast the next morning (off of the lobby as well). We walked around the shops and loved the Tuscan Market for a fresh sandwich for lunch, which we ate outside on a lovely October day.
The only thing that surprised us was that there is a lot of noise in the room. We heard everyone talking in the hall but most bothersome was Friday night - I think there may have been a DJ at the 5th floor club (we were on the 3rd floor). We were exhausted so chose to call it an early night and relax in our room and watch tv after a long day traveling. We couldn't hear the tv in our own room over the music from outside! In fairness, I believe the music stopped by 10 o'clock but when you're tired, it was a lot (especially at close to $500/night).This was not an issue on Saturday.
We would definitely return when in the area.
GGuest UserOverall it is not bad. It is a good hotel and it is very convenient to go anywhere. The hotel is very clean. The service quality is very good. I feel that the nearby function is very good. The washing machine is very advanced. It is not a coin-operated type. It is very good.
GGuest UserI checked into the hotel on the way. The location is very good, just next to the highway. It is very convenient to travel by car. There is free parking. The room space and supporting facilities are also good and satisfactory.
PPenny Mason-AndersonGerry made us feel welcome the moment we walked up to the desk his positive attitude smile, and kindness was exceptional. Often, sadly front desk employees can be less than chipper. That was certainly not the case with Gerry! We laughed and told stories and honestly I wanted to hang with him at the desk and chat. He is one fine employee. I hope you can keep him! We will be back!
GGuest UserIt was fine, the bed was comfortable, room was warm after we turned on the heat, no complaints. The inside pool is right behind the check in desk and open from 7 am to 11 pm I believe.
TTee79Nice place to stay. Was quiet, clean, and the owner was very friendly. Not too bad of a price this time of year. They do require $100 deposit that is refunded if there is no damage to the room. All rooms are no smoking, which is nice. Definitely recommend if you're in Hampton.
GGuest UserNice, clean and quiet hotel. There was coffee provided in the morning in the lobby with sugar and powdered creamer. The elevator was quick and the wait was always short. The fourth floor room was on the small side however it was clean and quiet with a good heat and air conditioning system. The bathroom was better than I expected however the water pressure in the shower was inadequate although there was enough water.
The bathroom was spotless. The TV and microwave worked well. All in all, I would stay there again.
