"This is a small, family-run boutique inn with only about a dozen rooms. There is no 24-hour front desk, so the hotel tried contacting me beforehand to coordinate our check-in time. They were also thoughtful enough to combine my two separate bookings so I could stay in the same room for both nights.
The architecture and interior decor are stunning—the property itself feels like a work of art, featuring Spanish-style walls and accents. From the terrace, you get sweeping views of Sedona’s red rock formations set against blue skies and white clouds.
The rooms are luxuriously appointed. After coming back from a hike with wet shoes, warming up by the fireplace with a glass of red wine is the true definition of a vacation.
Breakfast is served downstairs in the kitchen, made-to-order with Mexican-inspired dishes, and the food quality is fantastic. They serve papaya with a torched, crispy sugar crust, and non-guests even come here specifically for breakfast.
Although there is no staff on-site at night, the kitchen keeps a pitcher of iced tea and a full plate of cookies for guests, and kitchenware is freely available for use.
The hotel is gorgeous, and the guests are mostly middle-class Americans who are quiet, friendly, and make for a wonderful overall experience."
