3-Star Hotels in Almaty

I had a pleasant stay and seamless check in. Instructions were provided early and all I lnformation accurate. The images were also very accurate to the listing so there is no deceiving. There is a gate which I wish I knew of so I could have prepared. And knew the process how to enter. Once in, it’s very convenient, location wise, it’s right in front of the metro, bus stations and shops, convenience store and pharmacy, fruit store. The apartment itself is big and spacious, it’s clean and has everything you need. Laundry, dishes , microwave etc. and better than most hotels around the area. The owner was so kind always, very approachable, responsive and apathetic as I had some bad experiences in Kazakhstan she ensured I would have a better stay and even allowed for late check out. I’ll come back here again for a stay when I go back. Despite some setbacks on my travels. This 2-3 day stay was good and much needed.

A very affordable stay for solo travelers considering the location, with plenty of shops nearby and a large mall just a 10-minute walk away. The apartment is within a huge residential complex, so the courtyard can get lively with kids playing, but the soundproofing is surprisingly decent once inside. All units are on the ground floor, so don’t expect much of a view. There’s also a small shared foyer with three other apartments — it stays quiet most of the time, though it can feel warm from the dryer running there. On the plus side, the place is very clean, and the bathroom is a good size for the price point.

The location is perfect and it only cost around 3600 tenge from airport to AQ by Yandex Go. The room is very tidy but a bit stuffy since there's no air condition inside the room. Shower rooms, toilets and all common area are tidy, except there are some flies in the kitchen and canteen. Breakfast is provided between 8am to 12pm, for a person that has small appetite like me, the portion is huge!! I didn't expect they will provide fruits like watermelon and grapes in some afternoon, needed them so much after a day of hiking. Staffs are also very nice and patient. If you come to Almaty, I highly recommend this youth hostel.

I am a solo traveller and it was my first time to travel to Almaty. I have no other words to describe my stay at this hotel aside from being exceptional. My room was big, there was also heated floor which countered the chilly winter days during my stay, daily room cleaning and the foods at the cafe especial bfast buffet were amazing and filling!!!! Special mention to all the staff there that welcomed me warmly most especially Yeldoz and the others who were very kind and friendly. The hotel is only an hour of walking from the famous tourist spots like Ascendant Cathedral, Panfilov, etc. And I recommend you to walk from the hotel to the aforementioned tourist spots beautiful you will be amazed by the views while walking 🫶🫶🫶 Again thankful and so lucky to have stayed at this hotel and met the kindest people here!!!

The check in was smooth even though in the middle of night. The owner provided a short video on WhatsApp guiding to the entrance. All provided equipment worked fine. We had few major concerns - No water was provided, or so we thought at obvious initial glance, however in later days we saw one container kept alongside cleaning utilities which we were not sure, hence chose not to use. No daily cleaning service or refreshing daily utilities was provided eventhough we stayed for 5 nights. The host said it will be a paid one, a free single cleaning service will be available after 1 week of stay. On the last day of check out, he asked us to dispose off the trash in a nearby public trash bin which we did, but this is a bit unusual at least for us. During the stay for 5 nights, the host did not s ask if any concern at least for courtesy. There were extra bedsheets on the cloth drying rack but with a warning note not to use them as they were meant for next guest and if disturbed will attract charges - with no place for us to use the rack for our daily purpose. Why keep those in the studio then? Could have kept in another storage. Other than that the location is close to the center and the view from the window is nice. Overall 3/5 stars, losing only for the service issues we had.

Forget breakfast if you're not into Chinese breaksfast of usually boiled eggs, not fried or scrambled. The property has charming log cabin-style accommodations that look visually appealing and add character to the stay. Unfortunately, these buildings seem to lack proper maintenance. The interior could benefit from more thorough cleaning, as there was a noticeable smell of dust and musty carpeting, and it appeared that the carpets had not been properly vacuumed. It’s a pity because the cabins have great potential. With better upkeep, deeper cleaning, and perhaps replacing or updating the old carpeting, this hotel could offer an even more enjoyable experience. The creaky stairwell, rather than being a drawback, actually adds to the rustic charm. With a little more care, this property could truly shine.

I recently stayed at Saya Almaty Hotel during my trip to Almaty, and overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable experience that I would recommend to many travelers. Even with some language barriers, they did their best to assist with directions, transportation arrangements, and local recommendations, which added a personal touch to the experience. The room itself was clean, modern, and well-maintained. It had a comfortable bed, good lighting, and all the basic amenities needed for a short or medium-length stay. I particularly appreciated the cleanliness of the bathroom and the reliable hot water, which is always important after a long day of sightseeing. The Wi-Fi connection was stable and fast enough for both work and entertainment, which made it convenient for staying connected. One of the highlights of the hotel was the breakfast. The selection was simple but satisfying, with a mix of local and international options. It was a great way to start the day before heading out to explore Almaty. The dining area was also clean and relaxed, adding to the overall comfort. In terms of value for money, Saya Almaty Hotel offers a good balance between affordability and quality. While it may not be a luxury hotel, it provides everything necessary for a comfortable stay. It is especially suitable for solo travelers, couples, or business visitors who are looking for a reliable and budget-friendly option. Overall, my stay at Saya Almaty Hotel was enjoyable, and I would consider returning in the future. If you are visiting Almaty and looking for a clean, convenient, and reasonably priced hotel, this is definitely a solid choice.

The place was only ok. First, they ask for a deposit when you arrive which does not make sense, we never get asked for deposits anywhere else. The room itself is not an apartment as advertised, does not have even a knife in the room (does not have plates, does not have anything to wash any dishes, no washing machine). They should not advertise themselves as apartments when its just a room they give. No blackout curtains like they say in the description. We also booked it because we thought we had a desk in the room (no desk but they agreed to give is a different room). No mountain view anywhere. They exaggerate what they offer. Also, breakfast was very poor, very greasy and very little option. Stayed there for 6 nights and they ran out of coffee on the 3rd day and did not get more after (we asked everyday and said yes to tomorrow but never happened). Staff does not speak english, some make no effort to translate either and we had to get the app ourselves to translate. Disappointed. Place also looks like low effort, tiles very cracked, no air vents in the bathroom (smells bad after a shower from all the water inside)

The room is clean and dry, quiet and cool at night, and it is easy to fall asleep quickly. You can make reservations for meals, and the service is very thoughtful. The proprietress helped me arrange everything that the guests didn't expect. She was warm and welcoming like a family member, luxurious and family-like. I will definitely stay here again when I come to Almaty in the future. It feels like home.

The hotel is small and conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to get around. The room was quite small but clean and comfortable. The shower temperature was difficult to adjust, as it was either too hot or too cold. There is no elevator, so guests need to carry their luggage upstairs, but the staff kindly helped with the luggage during check-in. You can also leave your luggage after check-out. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, it was good value for money.
