Great
GGuest UserEverything was great until the day we checked out. Our flight was at night, so I asked to extend our room until 6 PM. However, since there were no available rooms, they declined. 'No big deal,' I naively thought, assuming I could relax with my child by the pool or in the play area. In the end, they wouldn't let us into the spa zone because our room had already been handed over. We went to the playroom, but there was a child there with what looked like symptoms of rotavirus, and for some reason, the doctor was called to the playroom instead of their room. The child was crying, taking medication, and continued to stay in the playroom. When I asked why, they said he just had a stomach ache that morning. We left there. Now we're just wandering around the hotel grounds like strays.
Ss850728Facilities: Feels like a relatively new hotel for the area.
Cleanliness: Pretty good. I had lower expectations after reading reviews for other hotels, so it was actually fine.
Service: Decent.
Overall, it's a good 4-star hotel, and it even has a pool (though I didn't use it). The breakfast was just okay, but that might be typical for the local area. It's also very close to the subway.
YYun77The InterContinental Hotel in Kazakhstan offers excellent service, clean rooms, and great views. The breakfast spread is extensive, and the location is convenient for transportation. It's a top choice for both business and leisure travelers. Highly recommended!
XXuelangshanjukeI was a little skeptical at first, thinking it would be old. In the end, I booked it because of the location. Overall, I am satisfied. Generally, airline crews will choose hotels for their stay, so they won't be too bad. It's not far from the cable car station, about a 20-minute walk. It's also not far from the Cathedral, a 15-18-minute walk. I am a bit picky. The facilities are acceptable and clean. The room is quite satisfactory. The breakfast buffet is average.
MMuhammad Irsyad Bin ZainiMy stay at Rixos Almaty in the Deluxe Twin Room with Park View was exceptional. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered a stunning view of the park, which added a peaceful ambiance to my stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The hotel staff were highly attentive and friendly, delivering excellent service from check-in to check-out. The hotel’s facilities, including the spa and fitness center, were top-notch and provided a luxurious touch to the experience. The breakfast was also impressive, with a wide array of delicious local and international dishes. Overall, my stay was nothing short of fantastic, and I would highly recommend Rixos Almaty for anyone visiting the city.
AAnonymous UserMy initial check-in left me a bit disappointed. The standard room was quite small, and the corridors were narrow. The facilities also felt a bit old-fashioned, and the bathroom fan was quite loud.
However, after staying for three days, I really grew to love this small hotel.
Even though the facilities are older, they are meticulously maintained and spotlessly clean. It felt charming and cozy, and the hallways always smelled lovely.
There were plenty of hair dryers, and the hot water pressure was excellent. It was my first time experiencing a heating pipe that worked in conjunction with the shower's hot water supply – quite ingenious.
While breakfast wasn't on par with larger hotels, it was varied and delicious. There were even slight changes each day. I tried all the desserts and they were all very tasty. The coffee was a bit weak, but the tea was quite strong. With cinnamon powder, chocolate powder, and milk, I made my own milk tea.
I had planned to try the complimentary one-hour sauna for guests, but my husband said there was no lock, which was a shame. So I didn't dare to try it.
On a side note, the hotel's dinner was also delicious. The horse meat noodles and the soup were both excellent. If you don't feel like going out to find food, you can definitely eat right at the hotel.
GGuest UserBooked this hotel because it was near to the airport, and being only 20 minutes away made for a great stopover between flights.
That said, the hotel itself has plenty to offer. The rooms are nice and clean. We actually had an issue where we had too much hot water which is sort of the opposite problem of what you'd expect. The staff were friendly and helpful. They also had plenty of water coolers around to refill bottles, which is a nice touch not all hotels would offer. We didn't use the pool, but we saw that it was large and plenty of people were using it. Breakfast was simple, but did enough to cover all the bases.
All in all, would recommend a stay here. Especially if you're looking for somewhere near the airport to crash.
IIreneaileenliThe hotel is quite close to the airport, but still takes around 15 mins by taxi. Close to a shopping mall and bus stop. There are hostel rooms and the issue with the hostel is there's only one key for the dorm's door. And the shower booth has no lock, it's only a glass door, so each time someone showers they most likely would lock the main door and so no one can use the toilets at the same time. There's a microwave and a fridge. Breakfast is included and it's generous enough for this price. If you want to experience a more local area then I'd recommend it. Otherwise might as well stay in the city centre since the taxi ride would cost more or less the same time and money to and from the airport.
GGuest UserI stayed for 4 nights on this business trip, booking a Deluxe City View King Room. The overall experience was quite average, so here's a reference for those considering staying:
1. **Cleanliness**: 4/5. The room was generally clean during daily housekeeping, with no obvious stains on the bedding or surfaces, making for a comfortable stay.
2. **Environment & Amenities**: 3/5. Public areas weren't very well maintained, and the city view was quite ordinary, with no outstanding features.
3. **Service & Facilities**: Both 3/5. Basic needs were met, but the facilities were generally outdated, and service response was slow. It took a long time to get issues resolved.
This hotel is more suitable for short business trips as a temporary stopover. You can choose it if you don't have high expectations for facilities and service.
