4-Star Hotels in Vienna

The location seems a bit out of the way, but luckily, I'm used to long commutes in China. You need to take the light rail and then the subway to get downtown. The hotel service is decent; they lend universal adapters for free. The only catch is that you have to pay extra for a Danube River view from any room! European hotel rooms are all about the same size. There's a shopping mall downstairs, which is convenient for quick meals. Plus, there's a DM supermarket where you can buy daily necessities!

The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, with convenient transportation access. There's an Aldi nearby for easy grocery shopping. The room also had basic kitchenware, and the bathroom was clean, tidy, and large. The hotel has paid washing machines and dryers. The washing machines include detergent, so you don't need to bring your own. However, the dryer isn't very effective at drying clothes, so I wouldn't recommend paying to use it. It's only a 100-meter walk from the train station to the hotel (I recommend using the north exit, which has a Chinese restaurant). There are accessible ramps along the way, making it easy to pull luggage. The train station also offers direct trains to the airport every half hour. Be careful not to go to the wrong hotel; there's another apartment-style hotel from the same company nearby. (Don't ask me how I know that! 🤡)

The hotel’s location is brilliant, right by the river. A reasonable walk from all the main sites in the centre but also a short walk away from public transport (tram, subway) if you prefer. The airport bus is just across the bridge - was very convenient. The staff were super friendly and helpful, offering me coffee and answering any questions I had. I asked for a room on a higher floor, and got one on the 7th floor which had decent views of the city. The room itself was perfect size, not too small and was clean. The bed was very comfortable! Good value for a 4* - I would highly recommend :)

★Overall Rating If I visit Vienna again, I would definitely stay at this hotel. I was truly impressed by both its excellent location and the outstanding service provided by the staff. ★Location The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Stephansplatz, where many of Vienna’s major attractions are located. From the hotel, you can easily walk to famous sights such as St. Stephen’s Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Vienna State Opera, and Hofburg Palace. In my opinion, it would be difficult to find a hotel with a better location than this. ★Room The room was very clean and well maintained. From my window, I had a view of the Donner Fountain, which was a lovely bonus. One minor issue was that the shower area could not be completely closed, so water often splashed onto the floor around the toilet and sink. In addition, the shampoo and hand soap dispensers were quite difficult to press, so you may prefer to bring your own toiletries. I’m not sure whether they came in through the open window, but I noticed around eight small insects in the room during my stay. ★Service The reception staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Although I arrived about three hours before the official check-in time, they kindly allowed me to check in early and rest in my room. They also patiently explained how to get from the train station to the airport. One of the Asian housekeeping staff members greeted me warmly with a smile whenever we passed each other in the hallway. When I found insects in my room, a housekeeping staff member came to assist me. She kindly said, “If you have any problems, please don’t hesitate to call us anytime.” Her response was thoughtful and greatly appreciated. The hotel also provided complimentary treats in the room, including Manner wafers, Coca-Cola, and apple juice, which was a nice touch.

If you're visiting Vienna, you absolutely must add MOOONS Vienna, this stylish boutique hotel, to your must-stay list! The building's exterior is subtly all-black, but features incredibly eye-catching, massive circular windows. Step into your room, and that iconic 'moon window' acts like a natural picture frame, seamlessly integrating Vienna's cityscapes or the stunning inner courtyard directly into your room. Every photo you snap for your social media feed will look like it came straight out of a magazine.

Lovely, quirky hotel in an excellent location. It's an easy walk into central Vienna, and sites like the Parliament, Rathaus and Leopold Museum are practically on the doorstep. Transport links around Vienna are excellent, with the U2 station almost within shouting distance. Staff speak excellent English, and are friendly and helpful. Comfortable, if smallish room, and well sound insulated. Only fault is the erratic WiFi. It often dropped, making streaming a frustrating experience. The onsite restaurant makes decent pizza at a good price - a decent option if you don't fancy going out.

The listing said there was a bathtub, but my room didn't have one. The room photos also showed rooms with only a shower, so it might be that rooms are assigned randomly. If you really want a bathtub, it's probably a good idea to note it in the special requests section. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and it had a fridge. There are also lots of supermarkets nearby, which was a plus.

I booked a triple room for 3 adults and first I was given a room with one bed only, so, was forced to to get back to the reception with all the things and then they gave me a room with 2 beds and a smaller folding bed. Please pay attention, that they call 15m room - ”triple”. Also, instead of proper door to the bath room, there was a sliding glass door with a hole instead of a handle which didn't provide any privacy. All the facilities were very low, like for small kids, shower cabin is extremely small, no toiletries. Poor pillows, bad matrasses. To switch AC on/off you have to call to the reception.

The hotel is very centrally located in Vienna. The atmosphere and the staff are perfect. Upon arrival, the self-check-in machine was not working, so I had to call for assistance. By that time, several other guests were also waiting to check in. It took about 45 minutes before we were finally able to access our accommodation. At first glance, everything looked good. However, I found several long black hairs in the bed, which definitely were not mine. There was also no trash bin in the room. Apart from that, the tiny house was comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. One thing that could be improved is the small window, which could not be fully covered. As a result, the outdoor lights were constantly visible turning on and off whenever people walked past, which was somewhat disturbing during the night. Overall, it was a good experience, but there are definitely a few areas that could be improved.
