GGuest UserThis guesthouse is located within the scenic area. The staff member met me at the West Gate ticket office. The guesthouse environment is excellent. The only drawback is that there are many stone steps and paths, so you have to walk everywhere. It's also a bit hard to find without guidance. However, the service was outstanding. The rooms are perfect for taking panoramic photos of the Miao Village. When I checked out, it was raining, and the staff member escorted me all the way to my car at the West Gate before leaving, which I really appreciated. I'd recommend that younger guests staying here don't bother with the 24-hour scenic shuttle pass that costs 20 yuan. Paying per ride is enough, as it's only useful for entering the scenic area and going uphill. Otherwise, you'll be walking the whole time.

MMs. TeaThis guesthouse in the Miao Village is an absolute treasure! The location is phenomenal; you step right out and you're in the heart of the village, which saves so much time and hassle. The room was clean and comfortable, and opening the window offered breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Miao Village. By day, you see the staggered stilt houses nestled amidst the lush green mountains, and by night, the twinkling lights of countless homes look like stars. Both day and night offer distinct charms. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit!

YYakabaweishouThe hotel's location is excellent. We took the scenic bus from Ximen to the observation deck, and a hotel staff member helped us with our luggage to the hotel. Coming down from the observation deck, there's a relatively steep path, but the advantage is that the hotel is high enough, nestled halfway up the mountain, so you don't need to return to the observation deck for night views – the view is just like in the picture. If you choose a hotel too low, you might be bothered by music and barbecue smoke at night. The path down to the commercial street is quite gentle, so even with average stamina, you can go back and forth twice a day. In the afternoon, we returned to the hotel to relax and enjoy the complimentary afternoon tea. There was also free sweet soup in the evening. Furthermore, all the bath amenities were L'Occitane Verbena scented. Aside from the hot water being a bit slow, everything else was perfect.

GGuest UserJust got back from Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village and I have to rave about Tianhe Shiguang! The location is absolutely perfect – right on the west side of Wind-Rain Bridge No. 5. Step outside and you're at the Necklace Square and Bairiver boardwalk. Head up for the viewing platform, or stroll downriver to Bridge No. 1, all super close for exploring and dining. Even though it's in the heart of the action, it's surprisingly quiet, away from the noisy bars on the main street. In the room, all you hear is the gentle sound of the flowing water, which made for a really deep sleep. The breakfast buffet was excellent too, especially the rice noodles. What really impressed me was the butler who proactively met us at the bridge to help with all our heavy luggage, both on arrival and departure, even taking our bags to Bridge No. 5 when we checked out. New rooms, new facilities, and smart home features throughout – highly recommend!

KKuihuazierThe room was very clean and hygienic, and the service was excellent. The butler helped us with our luggage and was super thoughtful, even telling us where to go sightseeing. It felt just like coming home! Plus, you don't have to lug your bags up a hill because it's right by the road, and you can get there directly by electric cart, unlike many B&Bs that are up on the mountain – carrying suitcases up there is exhausting! When we came back from a night out and wanted a drink, the front desk guy even poured us some. Hahaha, thanks a lot! I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. I really love it, and the scenery is beautiful too!!

GGuest UserThe location is absolutely unbeatable! It's just 50 meters from the observation deck, a two-minute walk straight there. No crowds, no uphill climbs – you can easily catch the rolling sea of clouds in the morning and the twinkling city lights at sunset. This is the ultimate viewing spot, a dream come true for anyone who loves convenience! The room was so quiet I could hear the chirping of insects. The Wabi-sabi style decor was incredibly tasteful, with solid wood furniture and rattan soft furnishings creating a perfect mountain wilderness ambiance. And the cleanliness was impeccable; the bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, and every corner was spotless. Even a neat freak like me felt completely at ease, able to relax and recover from travel fatigue. The butler service was thoughtful to its core! From route guidance before entering the village to luggage transfer upon arrival and recommendations for sightseeing, it was a personalized, one-on-one service that catered to every request, just like a friend. The hand-drawn map was very detailed. The biggest surprise was the free batik experience! An intangible cultural heritage inheritor taught us hand-on, from drawing patterns with beeswax to indigo dyeing. Making a unique batik piece with my own hands, bringing home a thousand-year-old craft from the Miao village, was incredibly fulfilling. The guesthouse also offers Miao costume experiences and has a café. The public areas are super photogenic, allowing you to capture atmospheric shots without needing filters. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the main Miao village street yet close to the core scenic area, offering both tranquility and convenience. Qi Feng Xin Hou Shan packages intangible cultural heritage, attentive service, and stunning scenery all into one. This is exactly what travel should be like!

HHailiwoniuI highly recommend staying at this guesthouse. The location is absolutely fantastic, both day and night! It's truly the best vantage point in the entire scenic area. Any designated observation decks in the area simply can't compare. The photos and videos I took from my guesthouse balcony turned out amazing. The facilities are excellent, and the environment is exceptionally clean. Most notably, the owner's service attitude is just wonderful. Having visited numerous scenic spots across the country, I consider this to be the number one guesthouse I've ever stayed at.

GGuest UserWe arrived in Xijiang and were immediately met with such a kind surprise—they upgraded our room for my birthday, which truly set the tone for our entire stay. We were on the third floor with the most wonderful view, looking out over their little water feature and the village beyond. Our balcony, complete with a tea set and two chairs, quickly became one of our favorite spots. Sitting there, especially in the evening, felt magical—like we were nestled among the stars overlooking the town. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the viewing platform and easily accessible down into the main village. Arriving was also incredibly smooth. As first-time visitors to China, we were quite nervous navigating trains and logistics as English speakers, but the hotel staff stepped in early with clear, thoughtful guidance. From the very beginning, they were attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind. When we arrived at the North Gate after taking the shuttle into the scenic area, a staff member met us and carried both of our bags up the hill and stairs to the accommodation. This was such a thoughtful gesture—especially because the terrain can be challenging. (For future travelers: if possible, avoid bringing heavy suitcases—but if you do, you’ll be very well taken care of here.) Check-in was seamless, and our room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities we needed. They provided water, soft robes, and made communication very easy via WeChat. Breakfast was also a highlight—we opted for the Chinese breakfast, which was light, healthy, and a perfect way to start the day before exploring all the incredible street food in town. We especially loved the communal living space—a cozy café-style area with a balcony overlooking the village. It was such a peaceful place to sit, have tea, and take in the views both during the day and under the night sky. They also had everything you could need: a coffee maker, dishes, mugs, and even fresh spring water, which was a lovely touch. The warmth of the people here truly made the experience unforgettable. The housekeeping staff were so kind, and the younger staff members were incredibly helpful and attentive. It really felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just staying at a hotel. And the little cats around the property made it even more special. On our departure day, we were running late for the last bus, and one of the younger staff members carried my very heavy bag down the hill and practically ran with it to make sure we made it on time. He stayed with us until we were safely on board. That level of care and service is something we will never forget. We would return in a heartbeat. Thank you, thank you, thank you again to the family and the entire staff for your kindness and for taking such wonderful care of us. You made our short stay in Xijiang an absolute pleasure and a weekend we will remember forever.

GGuest UserI stayed in Xijiang Miao Village for two nights, and I'm so glad I chose this guesthouse. From my bed, I could overlook the stunning spectacle of a thousand households lit up at night. In the morning, opening the window revealed terraced fields and stilt houses shrouded in mist, like a traditional Chinese ink painting. The location is perfect – the surroundings are quiet, yet it's just a short walk to the bustling center of Miao Village. Plus, there's no need to climb stairs with luggage; the host contacted us in advance, guided us, and even helped carry our bags to the room, which was incredibly thoughtful. Watching the thousand-household Miao Village from the balcony at night with a gentle breeze was an absolutely perfect experience! Every little corner of the guesthouse has a great ambiance: the outdoor balcony, rooftop, fire pit, and cafe. The room was clean and cozy, and the housekeeper provided attentive service throughout our stay. In the morning, there was a comforting breakfast, and the hot noodle soup was absolutely delicious!
