KKaryn SiewThis boutique hotel presents an amazing surprise in the depths of the Miao Village. The rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art Smart Home systems. For example, one could control the curtains and lighting with verbal commands—in mandarin. There was a slide and ball pit in our room, which was a bonus. The bathtub is one of the largest offerings we have encountered and come with a herbal bath services that is included with the booking fee. Whilst the hotel doesn’t have round-the-clock room service, one could ask the front desk for help with food orders by means of a local food delivery app. Our McDonalds order arrived within half an hour. The hotel provides Miao traditional clothes for guests to wear and take photos, free of charge. Last but not least, the hotel rooms provide a beautiful and unblocked view of the Miao village and the mountainous terrain. The hotel crew that we met were extremely helpful, and would help provide additional lighting for night photo shoots, carry your bags, and also bring food to your room. Xiao Ning, Xiao Hai and Xiao Kai were really wonderful hotel staff who went the extra mile to make our stay most comfortable and memorable. Thank you for this wonderful experience.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. A few days before check-in, the housekeeper called to remind me and even sent a 'traffic light' guide for activities, which was incredibly thoughtful! Upon arrival, the housekeeper helped with our luggage. There's an elevator, so it's not much climbing. The hotel facilities are very new, and the mattress conformed perfectly to my body – super comfortable. It even had a Dyson hairdryer, great sound system, and a projector. Eating out and exploring the Miao village were incredibly convenient, with many popular spots nearby. From the hotel window, you can see the Lusheng Square; the location is truly excellent! We stayed in the 270° family room, and opening the window offered a full view of the Miao village. Both the daytime and nighttime views were stunning! On our departure, the housekeeper also helped transport our luggage to the entrance of the Miao village scenic area using an electric cart. I really love the decor style of this hotel! I forgot something when I left and called the housekeeper, and it was brought to me very quickly! The service attitude is truly exceptional!

GGuest User✅ First, the positives: The butler service was excellent. They picked us up from the station and helped with our luggage the whole way. The journey from the station to the hotel was about 10-15 minutes, not particularly strenuous. Second, the hotel's location offers unbeatable views – just check out the real-life photos I posted. Upon arrival, drinks were prepared in the lobby. Similarly, there were two servings of the evening soup, which I believe is based on the room type booked, so I'm not sure if other price-point rooms offer this. A particularly pleasant surprise was the excellent speaker in the room. I don't know the brand, but the sound quality was fantastic, a real bonus. ⚠️ Now for a few drawbacks: The hotel's room preparation time was excessively long. This wasn't an isolated incident, as I observed almost all guests waiting in the lobby for over 40 minutes. Those with less patience might find this quite trying. ✉️ Finally, a few suggestions I hope will be adopted: As shown in picture (2), my room came with a private hot spring bath. However, the candles, petals, and bath bombs (which turn the water pink and add fragrance) were all items I brought myself. For a hotel with such a wonderful ambiance, I hope they can add these kinds of services (petals cost less than 10 yuan, candles about 5 yuan, bath bombs are pricier at around 20 yuan each and you'd need about 6, but cheaper ones are available on the market, and the hotel could perhaps purchase them in bulk). My room rate was 2680 yuan, and I believe adding these services would significantly enhance the experience, especially since customers choosing this price point are mostly young couples. I hope this suggestion can be taken into consideration. Overall, I'm still happy to give a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 five-star rating. I wish the hotel proprietor a prosperous business and all travelers visiting Miaozhai Village a pleasant journey.

GGrace W_WGetting from the scenic area parking lot into any hotels in Qianhu Miao village can be very challenging. You would need to walk over 600 meters with luggage, queue for a local shuttle, and then walk or climb stairs again to reach whatever hotel you book. As a solo traveler with my young daughter and two suitcases, this initially felt overwhelming when thinking about this idea . I’m truely glad that I chose to stay with this hotel. Before we arrived, the staff proactively contacted me via WeChat and sent someone to meet us at the ticket checkpoint outside of the village to help with our luggage, and guide us onto the shuttle. This thoughtful assistance made a huge difference. The hotel’s location was perfect, right next to the viewing platform. After getting off the electric shuttle, it took only one minute walk to reach the lobby. The views from the lobby, rooftop, and room are absolutely stunning. We didn’t need to visit crowded public viewpoints — enjoying the sparkling night view of the Miao village from our room was more than enough. The Breakfast was generous and delicious, with surprisingly good coffee. A very good sour fish soup restaurant is located nearby. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. They patiently taught my daughter the Miao ethnic batik indigo dye — she loved it so much that she couldn’t stop. On the fifth floor, the hotel also offers a variety of ethnic costumes for photo shoots. Even after checkout, they still helped carry our luggage all the way to the parking lot, which was truly appreciated. Although our stay was short, we could truly feel the care, attention to detail, and kindness from everyone at the hotel. Staying here felt more like being at home than at a hotel. We will definitely come back again and stay for longer. Strongly recommended!

YYujindaiwangThe views were absolutely incredible, even better than those from the observation deck! The service was also excellent. Since the guesthouse is located on the mountain, a butler provided pick-up and drop-off service for check-in and check-out. The butler carried our luggage with impressive speed, while we, empty-handed, still felt a bit wobbly from the climb. By the way, the Miao Village itself is quite commercialized and there wasn't much to do. Most of the joy from our trip to the Miao Village came from staying at this guesthouse.

GGuest UserThey created a WeChat group beforehand to provide guidance on check-in/check-out and other important notes. The butler met us at the sightseeing shuttle drop-off point and even helped with our luggage when we left. Their service was excellent. The room was a bit small and had low ceilings, but it was well-equipped, even featuring a projector. Located on the hillside, the room offered a nice night view.

GGuest UserThe location is absolutely unbeatable! It's just 50 meters from the observation deck, a two-minute walk straight there. No crowds, no uphill climbs – you can easily catch the rolling sea of clouds in the morning and the twinkling city lights at sunset. This is the ultimate viewing spot, a dream come true for anyone who loves convenience! The room was so quiet I could hear the chirping of insects. The Wabi-sabi style decor was incredibly tasteful, with solid wood furniture and rattan soft furnishings creating a perfect mountain wilderness ambiance. And the cleanliness was impeccable; the bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, and every corner was spotless. Even a neat freak like me felt completely at ease, able to relax and recover from travel fatigue. The butler service was thoughtful to its core! From route guidance before entering the village to luggage transfer upon arrival and recommendations for sightseeing, it was a personalized, one-on-one service that catered to every request, just like a friend. The hand-drawn map was very detailed. The biggest surprise was the free batik experience! An intangible cultural heritage inheritor taught us hand-on, from drawing patterns with beeswax to indigo dyeing. Making a unique batik piece with my own hands, bringing home a thousand-year-old craft from the Miao village, was incredibly fulfilling. The guesthouse also offers Miao costume experiences and has a café. The public areas are super photogenic, allowing you to capture atmospheric shots without needing filters. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the main Miao village street yet close to the core scenic area, offering both tranquility and convenience. Qi Feng Xin Hou Shan packages intangible cultural heritage, attentive service, and stunning scenery all into one. This is exactly what travel should be like!

HHailiwoniuI highly recommend staying at this guesthouse. The location is absolutely fantastic, both day and night! It's truly the best vantage point in the entire scenic area. Any designated observation decks in the area simply can't compare. The photos and videos I took from my guesthouse balcony turned out amazing. The facilities are excellent, and the environment is exceptionally clean. Most notably, the owner's service attitude is just wonderful. Having visited numerous scenic spots across the country, I consider this to be the number one guesthouse I've ever stayed at.

Very Good
GGuest UserThis is a very cute room with Zen light qualities and a minimalist theme that complements the location. I spent hours just looking out the window admiring the scenery. I encourage you to do the same. People in this province are the friendliest and all of China. This is reflected in the hotel staff.Xijiang Miao Village it’s not an easy place to get to. It is not an easy place to leave. Therefore, the in keeper staff here went out of their way to make my journey a good one. When they were welcoming to the city, arrival in keeper tried to poach me away and had me climbing up 100 m of ancient carved stairs while carrying a heavy bag. I wanted to punch that person when I found out he was an impostor after climbing up to that altitude in sketch conditions. Be weary of such people upon arrival. In contrast, this place is super nice and the staff is super nice . I highly recommend. But it is important to travel light when you visit this village the stairs can be very dangerous when wet, but they are super old.

GGuest UserI stayed in Xijiang Miao Village for two nights, and I'm so glad I chose this guesthouse. From my bed, I could overlook the stunning spectacle of a thousand households lit up at night. In the morning, opening the window revealed terraced fields and stilt houses shrouded in mist, like a traditional Chinese ink painting. The location is perfect – the surroundings are quiet, yet it's just a short walk to the bustling center of Miao Village. Plus, there's no need to climb stairs with luggage; the host contacted us in advance, guided us, and even helped carry our bags to the room, which was incredibly thoughtful. Watching the thousand-household Miao Village from the balcony at night with a gentle breeze was an absolutely perfect experience! Every little corner of the guesthouse has a great ambiance: the outdoor balcony, rooftop, fire pit, and cafe. The room was clean and cozy, and the housekeeper provided attentive service throughout our stay. In the morning, there was a comforting breakfast, and the hot noodle soup was absolutely delicious!
