"The room looks exactly like it does in the photos, and the view is honestly incredible. You can see the entire village from the window — waking up to that scenery every morning felt surreal.
The hotel owners are a very kind husband-and-wife duo. The woman messaged us in advance and even came to meet us at the nearest bridge, since the hotel is tucked away in the small back alleys and can be a little difficult to find. She kindly insisted on helping us carry our backpacks as well, which was really thoughtful.
The location itself is excellent — right in the middle of the ancient city, with easy access to all the nearby shops and restaurants. They were also very helpful in organising transportation to our next destination.
During my trip my phone broke, and she even tried calling several nearby phone repair shops to help me find somewhere to fix it. I was really grateful for the effort.
Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.
Just one thing to keep in mind: like most hotels inside the ancient city, it’s located in narrow alleyways where cars can’t enter. I wouldn’t recommend bringing large luggage, it’s much easier to leave your suitcase at the train station or another hotel and come here with just a backpack."

"First off, a big shoutout to the hotel staff – their service was truly exceptional. I initially called to ask about tickets for Qianhu, and casually mentioned that when I booked, only a king room was available. The front desk staff said they'd try to arrange something, though I didn't expect much since it was Chinese New Year. To my surprise, they upgraded us for free to a family twin room! I contacted the hotel half an hour before arriving at the scenic area, and a butler was already waiting at the ticket gate. On the way from the gate to the hotel, the staff member even explained details about the scenic area and how to best explore it, which was incredibly thoughtful.
The hotel is located near a viewing platform, not directly on the main road. You have to turn into a small alley, but with the butler handling our luggage, it was perfectly fine. We even passed by the famous 'Butterfly Auntie's' shop. Overall, it was excellent. They offer free afternoon tea and sweet soup in the evenings, and every single staff member was incredibly nice. Thumbs up! 👍🏻"

"The B&B is very close to Bridge No. 1 and not far from where Baidu cars can drop you off, so the location is excellent. They can also help with your luggage. The room has a fantastic view, overlooking the entire Miao village, and the lights at night are especially beautiful. We were lucky to have clear weather, so the daytime view was also superb. It's very convenient to get to the cable car from the Xiaobeimen (Small North Gate). The room itself was very clean and warm, with air conditioning and an electric blanket. It was a really great experience, and the owner even has cute cats!"

"I stayed for three nights, and the location on the observation deck offered a spectacular view. The room facilities were excellent, and the bedding was comfortable. What truly impressed me was the guesthouse's exceptional service. The lobby provided complimentary coffee, tea, desserts, and even a Miao ethnic clothing experience. In the room, we had free fruit and drinks, and laundry service was also available – every detail was well thought out.
Just a heads-up: navigating the Miao Village involves a lot of uphill and downhill stairs, so I recommend packing light. Although the hotel butler helped with luggage from the ticket office, the journey from there to the sightseeing bus, then to the observation deck, and finally to the guesthouse still involves quite a bit of walking and climbing stairs, which can be a bit tiring. Nevertheless, this hotel is highly recommended."

"This hotel has a great environment with many Instagrammable spots. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It's located right in the center of Kaili, making it super convenient for transportation and perfect for sightseeing itineraries. Next to it, there's an old traditional culture street and a night market with street food. There are also unique local attractions nearby. Every time I come to Southeast Guizhou, I always stay at the Guizhou Cultural Tourism Jiatu Hotel. Maybe it's because of the convenient transportation, or perhaps it's close to the snack street. I'll definitely stay here again next time, haha. During holidays, there are even performances where you can experience traditional ethnic minority culture. The hotel environment and hygiene are excellent. They also have a seafood buffet dinner on the fourth floor, so you don't even need to go out to eat, which is incredibly convenient and fast. I'll be back next time, hahahahaha!

"The hotel has a great location, right next to the scenic area's viewpoint. The owner is very welcoming, and the rooms are very clean. The owner will contact you on WeChat beforehand to provide the hotel address and travel tips. They'll pick you up when you arrive at the viewpoint. The second and third floors of the hotel offer the best spots for photography. Aside from the slightly poor soundproofing, everything else is great. It was raining when we left, and the owner noticed we didn't have umbrellas and even provided them for us! The room was very clean, and the bedding was also very clean! The whole house is equipped with Tmall smart home technology, which is great! I would recommend it to my friends!"

"The family came out to travel and the boss saw that it was convenient to take pictures with the children and upgraded a room with a balcony for free. The photos are really beautiful! I will make a film. Fortunately, I think that there are many people who have traveled recently and have not brought any suitcases. I advise every friend who comes to Xijiang to come out to play. It is best to travel lightly. It is built on the mountain. If you want a good view, there are definitely steps! But this homestay is very close to the roadside. Fortunately, I made a guide. The boss is very good. I came to the roadside to pick us up and helped to get some backpacks. The breakfast tastes good. The special rice noodles are better than the outside. The chili is super fragrant! The room and the public area are very clean. I can see that the boss is very careful to operate the online order and there is a little worry. As a result, there is basically no difference from the picture description when I go to the store, and there is no problem! Sure enough, this trip is worthwhile. Although there are more people, it can't stand the beauty. The whole process is pleasantly surprised. The experience is very good. The young man named Xiao Yang (小杨) is outstanding :
he carried our heavy luggage on his shoulders hight up to the hotel, he solved immediately any sort of problem and tried to fulfill any wish that we had.
From the beginning to the end of our stay he made sure that we found our way , organized transportation and brought us fresh fruits at the end of each day.
Once you visit Xijiang don't miss the 14:00 afternoon performance of singers, dancers, Lusheng players.

It's only about ten meters from where the sightseeing bus drops you off, and the front desk staff even came out to greet me in advance – excellent service! 俄俄罗斯美女I'd like to share my impressions of my stay at this hotel. Firstly, the hotel is very new and designer inside. The view of the village is, I'd say, the best in the area. First things first: the hotel offers a butler service, and when you arrive at the attraction, a butler will meet you and take your luggage. You don't have to bother walking to the bus, which is quite a distance, and the entire scenic area is on a mountain, requiring constant climbing. The hotel is also located on a hillside, so getting to it requires a climb up narrow steps. The butler carried my luggage and accompanied me the entire time. The walk from the entrance to the hotel took about 25 minutes, including the bus and the walk.
Upon arrival at the hotel, I was greeted at reception and offered afternoon tea; there were five drinks on the menu. I chose a milk oolong tea with milk, and they offered me fruit, nuts, and homemade cookies. It was delicious. I spent the entire time relaxing, drinking tea, and enjoying the village views. After I'd rested, I went to my room. I was given a room on the 4th floor with the lucky number 888. The room has absolutely everything: excellent Loccitan cosmetics, toiletries, robes, and slippers—everything is of very good quality. There's also a modern hairdryer and steam iron. There was a bath on the balcony, but I didn't use it because it was chilly. The room is really new; it has underfloor heating if you get cold, and also air conditioning. The bed linen, pillows, and blanket were wonderful. I didn't even notice how my night passed; I truly rested for the two nights I stayed at this hotel. The hotel staff explained how I could spend my time and took me to a restaurant where I could have a delicious meal. Then I went for a walk. I spent the entire evening strolling around the village and taking in the sights. That evening, when I returned, I was offered evening soup, which I really enjoyed; it was very unusual. Since I was a foreign tourist, the hotel staff communicated with me using a translator via WeChat, which was very convenient and prevented any misunderstandings. The next morning, I was offered breakfast, which was served on the first floor of the hotel. The dining room was also very beautiful and well-renovated. After breakfast, I went for a walk around the village to take beautiful photos. I had a wonderful time in the village, taking in the sights. I especially enjoyed the local people's show on New Year's Eve, as well as the singing of the women and men of the Miao people. The day before my departure, the hotel staff asked what time my return tickets to Guiyang would be and told me they would arrange for me to be transported to the entrance so I could call a taxi. I would give this hotel the highest rating, firstly because it's in a wonderful location on a mountain with a magnificent view, and literally a three-minute walk from the main observation deck. I would also give the highest rating to the hotel personnel, and especially to the butler his wechat name Velpro, they are all tried their best to help me and accompanied me on all my questions. I would also give the highest rating to the hotel owners, who care about the interior order, cleanliness, and the care of their guests. This level of hospitality is truly rare. If I return to this village, I will definitely stay at this hotel. I recommend it to everyone.

GGrace W_WGetting from the scenic area parking lot into any hotels in Qianhu Miao village can be very challenging. You would need to walk over 600 meters with luggage, queue for a local shuttle, and then walk or climb stairs again to reach whatever hotel you book. As a solo traveler with my young daughter and two suitcases, this initially felt overwhelming when thinking about this idea .
I’m truely glad that I chose to stay with this hotel. Before we arrived, the staff proactively contacted me via WeChat and sent someone to meet us at the ticket checkpoint outside of the village to help with our luggage, and guide us onto the shuttle. This thoughtful assistance made a huge difference.
The hotel’s location was perfect, right next to the viewing platform. After getting off the electric shuttle, it took only one minute walk to reach the lobby. The views from the lobby, rooftop, and room are absolutely stunning. We didn’t need to visit crowded public viewpoints — enjoying the sparkling night view of the Miao village from our room was more than enough.
The Breakfast was generous and delicious, with surprisingly good coffee. A very good sour fish soup restaurant is located nearby. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. They patiently taught my daughter the Miao ethnic batik indigo dye — she loved it so much that she couldn’t stop. On the fifth floor, the hotel also offers a variety of ethnic costumes for photo shoots. Even after checkout, they still helped carry our luggage all the way to the parking lot, which was truly appreciated.
Although our stay was short, we could truly feel the care, attention to detail, and kindness from everyone at the hotel. Staying here felt more like being at home than at a hotel. We will definitely come back again and stay for longer. Strongly recommended!

From the west gate, take the sightseeing bus to Bridge No. 1, and it's just a 2-minute walk up a few steps. You can contact the owner for luggage transfer. The lobby is tastefully designed, and you can enjoy beautiful village views from the terrace. The tie-dye themed family room has two separate areas with two beds, and even includes a rocking horse and dolls. We received complimentary welcome fruit, mini-bar drinks, and free breakfast. The bedding was clean and tidy, and disposable towels and toiletries were provided. It was quiet for sleeping, and there were no BBQ smells. It would be even more convenient if the shower and toilet were in swapped positions.

KKarinedrewWe stayed in a family room with a view. While the scenery was not as breathtaking as the panoramic rooms, it was still pleasant, and the balcony was a lovely feature with a table for four. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and it made our stay truly relaxing.
A special highlight of our trip was our butler, 小杨. She was incredibly pleasant, attentive, and helpful, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and a warm, casual manner. Her service truly elevated our experience and made us feel well taken care of throughout our stay.
Afternoon tea was a nice touch, with a variety of nuts and a slice of cake each day. Since we stayed for four nights, having similar nuts daily—with only the cake changing—felt a little repetitive, but it was still appreciated. We also feel that a full-length mirror would be a great addition to the room.
One small point for families to note is that the toilet doors are translucent with frosted glass, which may not be ideal for those who prefer more privacy when traveling with family members.
Overall, all six of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay and left with wonderful memories. A special shout-out once again to our lovely butler, 小杨, for making our experience even more memorable.

First of all, the service is excellent. After contacting the housekeeper in advance, they will give some arrival suggestions and dining recommendations. They are written in detail and basically answer all questions! After we arrived that day, three little brothers came down the mountain to help us with our luggage (we had 6 suitcases). Thank you very much. It was very hot that day, but they acted super quickly. Thank you very much! ! !
The scenery in the room is really good, and there is also a large viewing platform upstairs in the hotel. You don’t have to go to the scenic viewing platform to squeeze in people. I am super satisfied! At night, we took pictures there and there were lights (I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or every day, it can be said that it’s a huge production)
At night, because we had a lot of people to play cards, the hotel also provided us with a venue in the breakfast room. I was touched and experienced the special rice wine at night. It tasted good! Although we didn't get up for breakfast, they still packed some for us, which was really thoughtful. When we checked out, they also helped us take our luggage down the mountain. HHailiwoniuI highly recommend staying at this guesthouse. The location is absolutely fantastic, both day and night! It's truly the best vantage point in the entire scenic area. Any designated observation decks in the area simply can't compare. The photos and videos I took from my guesthouse balcony turned out amazing. The facilities are excellent, and the environment is exceptionally clean. Most notably, the owner's service attitude is just wonderful. Having visited numerous scenic spots across the country, I consider this to be the number one guesthouse I've ever stayed at.

HHuiziyanDecided to visit Guizhou for the Chinese New Year, so I booked this B&B early. The price was great, and all the accommodations on our Guizhou trip were fantastic. This particular B&B has an excellent location; it's just twenty or thirty steps down from the scenic viewpoint in the area. There's also a popular photo spot for travel photography right next to the house. We didn't have to get up too early the next morning, and since no one else was there, we spent half the day taking pictures. We only realized just before leaving that the guesthouse has its own viewpoint with amazing scenery. Our room was clean and tidy, and the view from the window was stunning. The owner was incredibly hospitable, helping us with our luggage, offering tangerines to our child, and even suggesting routes for us. When we came back late after taking photos one evening, I called the owner to ask for an extra pillow. He had just fallen asleep and was woken up, but he wasn't impatient at all. Many say that Qianjiang Miao Village is too commercialized, but exploring it at night, or early in the morning before the crowds arrive, and taking photos in Miao ethnic clothing is still quite enjoyable. GGuest UserI stayed in Xijiang Miao Village for two nights, and I'm so glad I chose this guesthouse. From my bed, I could overlook the stunning spectacle of a thousand households lit up at night. In the morning, opening the window revealed terraced fields and stilt houses shrouded in mist, like a traditional Chinese ink painting. The location is perfect – the surroundings are quiet, yet it's just a short walk to the bustling center of Miao Village. Plus, there's no need to climb stairs with luggage; the host contacted us in advance, guided us, and even helped carry our bags to the room, which was incredibly thoughtful. Watching the thousand-household Miao Village from the balcony at night with a gentle breeze was an absolutely perfect experience! Every little corner of the guesthouse has a great ambiance: the outdoor balcony, rooftop, fire pit, and cafe. 2. The B&B guy has very good service. He will add friends on WeChat to inform you of precautions in advance, and help with buying tickets and carrying luggage;
3. The B&B is very close to the Dongyin Observation Deck. There is no need to crowd the scenic spot Observation Deck. There are fewer people here and the scenery is better.
