I specifically chose to travel in May, avoiding public holidays, and the experience was exceptionally pleasant. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the observation deck, and the scenic shuttle bus stop is very close by. I didn't have to drag my luggage for a long distance, which was a relief since I initially read guides saying it would be exhausting carrying bags. Here, you don't have to worry about that at all. The owner was incredibly welcoming and even came to pick me up personally. They also provided tips on how to explore the area. The room offered a spectacular view; opening the window revealed the entire Miao village. The room was clean and tidy. Being on the mountaintop, it was also quiet, allowing me to sleep in until I naturally woke up. During the day, the shuttle bus was nearby, making it easy to head down the mountain for sightseeing and photos. As night fell, I enjoyed a local specialty drink, accompanied by the beautiful nightscape of the Miao village. Such leisurely and comfortable moments were truly enchanting.

After we got out of the car, the front desk attendant came over to greet us and offered to help with all our luggage. The hotel isn't brand new, but the hygiene and facilities are excellent, and the breakfast is exquisite and delicious. Two things really stood out: 1. The room location is superb; you can lie in bed and watch the Miao village across the way. 2. The front desk attendant was incredibly enthusiastic; not only did he insist on carrying all our bags, but he also offered to bring breakfast to our room. So thoughtful!

Traveling all the way from Shandong, we covered over 1900 kilometers, staying at several hotels and guesthouses priced over 1000 RMB. Each hotel stay felt like a mystery box – always worried about bad experiences, especially when paying a premium doesn't guarantee satisfaction. Miao Village was our last stop, and unlike before, we didn't go for the most expensive option. After reading many reviews, we chose this one. Many people mentioned the breakfast in their reviews, so I didn't take pictures. While not overly lavish, it was absolutely delicious and hit the spot. The millet porridge was fragrant and smooth, and the scallion pancakes were incredibly tasty, all very clean and hygienic. We've stayed at several guesthouses in the scenic area, and this is the only one that included breakfast, offering the best value for money. The only minor drawback is that the toiletries could be upgraded, but everything else was perfect!

The two young men who greeted us at the hotel were nice and very professional. The area felt lively overall, but the surrounding area, including the hotel, had a somewhat desolate feel. The hotel itself was decent, but the experience wasn't worth the money. The suite I requested had a viewing platform, but the platform was old and the lights were broken. Paying an extra thousand yuan for the view was pointless; it would have been better to just go out into the lobby. Breakfast was included through Ctrip, but it was later changed to not being included through Ctrip, although the hotel provided it, which I appreciated. Eating options on the mountain are limited, so I won't comment on the complimentary breakfast. For the next day, I decisively chose a chain hotel for other accommodations.

Although the accommodation is located higher up and requires climbing some stairs, it was not tiring at all because the staff kindly helped carry our luggage all the way from the bottom to the hotel. The room itself was stunning, with large windows that offered the most breathtaking panoramic view of the old town. Honestly, it felt like one of the best viewpoints in the area. Every corner was picture-perfect. The design was especially impressive, blending beautifully with the historic atmosphere through elegant vintage-style decor while still providing modern comforts. The amenities were complete, thoughtfully arranged, and equipped with smart automatic features. The shower was amazing too, with strong water pressure that made it extra satisfying. The owner was warm and friendly, offering great local restaurant recommendations that made exploring even better. The location was also excellent, just a short walk from a nearby scenic viewpoint. Perfect for anyone who wants charm, comfort, beautiful views, and an authentic old town experience.

We arrived in Xijiang and were immediately met with such a kind surprise—they upgraded our room for my birthday, which truly set the tone for our entire stay. We were on the third floor with the most wonderful view, looking out over their little water feature and the village beyond. Our balcony, complete with a tea set and two chairs, quickly became one of our favorite spots. Sitting there, especially in the evening, felt magical—like we were nestled among the stars overlooking the town. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the viewing platform and easily accessible down into the main village. Arriving was also incredibly smooth. As first-time visitors to China, we were quite nervous navigating trains and logistics as English speakers, but the hotel staff stepped in early with clear, thoughtful guidance. From the very beginning, they were attentive, responsive, and genuinely kind. When we arrived at the North Gate after taking the shuttle into the scenic area, a staff member met us and carried both of our bags up the hill and stairs to the accommodation. This was such a thoughtful gesture—especially because the terrain can be challenging. (For future travelers: if possible, avoid bringing heavy suitcases—but if you do, you’ll be very well taken care of here.) Check-in was seamless, and our room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities we needed. They provided water, soft robes, and made communication very easy via WeChat. Breakfast was also a highlight—we opted for the Chinese breakfast, which was light, healthy, and a perfect way to start the day before exploring all the incredible street food in town. We especially loved the communal living space—a cozy café-style area with a balcony overlooking the village. It was such a peaceful place to sit, have tea, and take in the views both during the day and under the night sky. They also had everything you could need: a coffee maker, dishes, mugs, and even fresh spring water, which was a lovely touch. The warmth of the people here truly made the experience unforgettable. The housekeeping staff were so kind, and the younger staff members were incredibly helpful and attentive. It really felt like being welcomed into a home rather than just staying at a hotel. And the little cats around the property made it even more special. On our departure day, we were running late for the last bus, and one of the younger staff members carried my very heavy bag down the hill and practically ran with it to make sure we made it on time. He stayed with us until we were safely on board. That level of care and service is something we will never forget. We would return in a heartbeat. You made our short stay in Xijiang an absolute pleasure and a weekend we will remember forever.

The hotel room was very clean, and you could see the night view of the Miao village from the window, which was absolutely stunning. The butler service was also very friendly and attentive, and they even helped with laundry. A really great stay!

The room was unexpected. The front desk lady provided excellent service. She also took the initiative to contact us in advance. Because we had a lot of luggage, the front desk lady also arranged for staff to pick us up and help us with our luggage. She also introduced the scenic area and gave us the tour route. The room was upgraded. The room we originally booked did not have a view. We were upgraded to a balcony view king room for free. You can see the panoramic view of the Miao village. You don't need to climb the mountain to see the panoramic view. The hotel is located in the center of the Miao village. It is convenient to go anywhere. It is especially worth recommending 👍👍👍

Since the hotel is located within the Miao Village, the facilities are quite old, so the experience wasn't great. We booked a twin room, but it didn't have a large window, only a tiny one like an attic window, which was too high for a tall person to look out of comfortably. Because the environment wasn't very good, I wasn't in the mood to take photos. The good thing is that this hotel is on an inner street, not the main street, so it's relatively quiet.

The location is superb, right next to the observation deck, just a few minutes' walk. Their private observation deck offers even better views than the public one; opening the window reveals a panoramic view of the Miao village, and the evening lights are breathtaking. The rooms are designed in the traditional Miao stilt-house style, with wooden floors and ethnic-inspired soft furnishings. They are clean and have a quality feel. The bedding is soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the soundproofing is excellent, making for a super quiet evening. Each room has a panoramic balcony, allowing you to enjoy the morning mist, sea of clouds, and sunset without even leaving your room – every photo you take will be stunning 📸. And the service is incredibly thoughtful! The butler contacted me in advance to arrange pick-up and proactively helped with my luggage, being warm and attentive throughout my stay. The minced pork noodles for breakfast were authentic and delicious, showing great attention to detail. Whether it's for enjoying the night view, taking beautiful photos, or experiencing Miao culture, this place is flawless. It offers incredible value for money and is a must-stay when visiting Xijiang! I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely choose it again next time!
