I traveled to Shenyang during the Dragon Boat Festival, and choosing the right hotel was crucial. This time, my main concern was finding a place that wouldn't bother my elderly parents, who are sensitive to room odors. So, besides the usual requirements like a convenient location (for driving), a pool, and being a reputable chain hotel, I specifically looked for a hotel that had been open between 5 and 10 years. This Hilton fit the bill.
It opened in 2018, so while it's been around for a few years, the facilities are still very well-maintained. There was a slight scent in the room, but it definitely wasn't a renovation smell, so it wasn't an issue. The location on Youth Avenue is super convenient for getting around. They have an underground parking garage; even though it looks a bit grimy, the spots are very spacious, which is great for new drivers.
Breakfast at the hotel was quite extensive with lots of choices. I particularly recommend their 'lu mian' (braised noodles) – the meat sauce was really well-made.
The swimming pool's shallowest point is only 0.9 meters, which is fantastic for kids. The water is also temperature-controlled, which is another plus.
During the holiday, the hotel price was around 800+ RMB (including breakfast for two), which I thought was pretty good value for money.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hotel, especially for anyone sensitive to renovation smells. Thumbs up! #Staycation #HotelRecommendation

andreaysI have two minor complaints about my multi-day stay.
1. The hotel had an eco-friendly linen card stating that if you stayed for three consecutive nights without requesting a change of bedding, you'd receive a 'beautiful gift' from Wanda Hotels. Turns out, this 'beautiful gift' was just a plain paper bookmark. It wasn't anything related to local intangible cultural heritage, nor did it have any hotel commemorative value. So, three days of eco-friendliness equaled one cheap bookmark 🔖 in comparison.
2. Around 1 AM on the night of check-in, the hotel suddenly experienced a complete power outage! The hotel explained that it might have been an external issue, like a large cable being damaged, and repairs were underway. However, the elevators were working fine, yet the emergency lights in the room couldn't be turned off at all. It was impossible to sleep, and if we didn't sleep, there was still no power!
Just before we checked out, the hotel called and offered a 'gift' as an apology. The staff member brought it up, and to our surprise, it was just an Artemisia argyi (mugwort) hammer, worth less than 10 RMB. After a sleepless night, this felt like such a half-hearted apology, without any real sincerity... just an Artemisia argyi hammer to brush us off.
Considering these two points, I feel the hotel's so-called sincerity and thoughtfulness were overly perfunctory! It would have been better if they hadn't offered anything at all!
Before leaving, I explicitly told the staff not to bother, as we had many of these items at home. Yet, they still put it in our car! 😞

AdvikaWe had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is in a convenient location, making it easy to get around. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bedding was excellent, ensuring a great night’s sleep.
Special thanks to Wency, the Guest Relations Officer, who provided outstanding service. She contacted us in advance to understand our needs, kindly upgraded our room, and assisted us with complimentary parking. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally.
Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay here again.

Guest UserThe Le Méridien Shenyang is indeed excellent. Starting with the ambiance, you're greeted with an artistic vibe right from the entrance. While the lobby isn't a massive, high-ceilinged space, it exudes a sense of luxury and art everywhere you look. As a member, I received a complimentary suite upgrade, which was a very kind gesture. The room was clean, tidy, and very spacious, and all other member benefits were perfectly delivered. Thumbs up! The breakfast selection wasn't as extensive as I'd imagined, possibly because I went a bit late, but several dishes were genuinely delicious. In terms of value for money, it's also the best among the Marriott properties in Shenyang.
Finally, I must extend a huge thank you to the attendant who cleaned room 1102 that day. They meticulously found my necklace that had fallen on the floor. Additionally, the front desk and concierge staff helped me mail it back incredibly quickly. This truly demonstrates the excellent service attitude of your hotel staff towards guests and the effective training the hotel provides its employees. Absolutely fantastic!

The hotel is next to Beiling Park and is located in a garden with good greenery. The rooms are not big and the layout is compact.
I would like to talk about the service in detail:
First of all, the service at the hotel front desk is very good. The front desk manager also sent us to the room. Thank you very much!
The room service is not satisfactory! We stayed for two consecutive days, and the cleaning lady threw away the food I bought the day before as garbage! The cleaning lady threw away the guests' food and was embarrassed to ask the aunt to compensate. It was quite disgusting!
Secondly, the slippers for the second night were not put for us. I called the room service to ask for slippers. The lady in the room service didn't believe it and asked me to look for it in the room. The cleaning lady didn't put the slippers. I called after looking for it! I asked the room service to bring two bottles of water when she sent the slippers. The lady also told me that there were only two bottles of water in one room, and then she said as a charity that she would make an exception and give me two more bottles...
Isn't this a five-star hotel? Hotels above four stars can add water for free! Even if you stay in a three-star hotel like Home Inn, you can ask for more water if it's not enough. Do you think that guests in high-end hotels have to drive out to the supermarket to buy water if they don't have enough water?
There was a young girl serving the room very well, but the older one had a sullen face and an unpleasant attitude!

Guest UserFacilities: Marriott's facilities are always top-notch, no complaints there.
Cleanliness: Same as above.
Ambiance: The room layout is noticeably more rational. Funnily enough, the first time I stayed at a Hyatt, I couldn't even find the restroom! Renaissance hotels, it seems, don't go for those hidden bathroom designs anywhere in the country.
Service: Manager Yang at the front desk arranged my room in advance, which was very thoughtful. They even prepared a welcome gift for my friends who traveled a long way, and we got to try the Shenyang specialty, Bulaolin candy. Really great, thumbs up!
As someone who lives abroad, whenever I return to Shenyang in the Northeast, it's always the Renaissance. I've stayed there for so many years that I'm genuinely too lazy to try anywhere else. The next time I come to Shenyang, or with friends, I'll definitely choose the Renaissance again!

AichijuzizhidexiaoxiannvaaIt's not in the villa area, but it's super convenient to go upstairs after enjoying the bathhouse. However, the check-in lobby isn't in the bathhouse building; you have to walk over there. So, if you have luggage, you might want to leave it at the bathhouse first, then go check-in, to avoid dragging it around. The breakfast spread is extensive, but children over 1.2 meters are charged 60 RMB per person. The kids absolutely loved the bathhouse! We got two free tickets upon check-in, and then another two around 10 AM on our departure day, valid until 6 PM. So, it effectively felt like the hotel was free – excellent value for money!

The room facilities are complete. My child was participating in a chess competition here. I stayed here for one night to rest. It felt good. The breakfast bread was good. The only thing I felt uncomfortable about was that my son was charged 88 yuan for breakfast. I said that a child over 1.3 meters tall should pay the full price, but later they charged half the price. The service staff at the restaurant entrance needs training. They can't tell how old the child is! 1.5 points for service!
