Our stay at Section L Yushima-Ueno exceeded expectations from start to finish. The staff was consistently present, professional, and thorough in explaining house rules and procedures. They were fluent in English, genuinely friendly, and incredibly helpful with local recommendations, restaurant reservations, and general guidance. That level of support made traveling with a toddler much easier. One important note for guests is: trash must be sorted into combustible and non-combustible categories and brought downstairs when full. Once you understand the system, it’s straightforward and aligns with Japan’s overall cleanliness standards. The in-unit washer-dryer combo was invaluable, especially for a family trip. We packed light and washing clothes daily was a must after 12-15,000 steps a day. The appliance guide provided in the room made it easy to operate. Note that this model of washer/dryer can only take smaller loads compare to American models and you DO NOT want to interrupt the drying cycle as you can't unlock the door! This was my fourth trip to Japan and my first traveling with my child, and the added convenience made a noticeable difference in comfort. We stayed five nights (our plane arrived in the evening) during our Tokyo leg and used this as our base while visiting Asakusa, Odaiba, Tokyo DisneySea, Tokyo Disneyland, and teamLab Borderless sprinkled with a bit of shopping. The location proved to be extremely convenient. Multiple train lines are within a 5–10 minute walk, making daily transit smooth and efficient. I specifically chose this property because the unit size is larger than typical Japanese hotel rooms, and the bathtub is closer to American standards, which made oue evening wind-down time much more comfortable. There is a FamilyMart just around the corner, and the staff at Section L there even helped me prefill the form for Japan’s luggage forwarding service, allowing us to avoid navigating packed trains with multiple large suitcases. That alone reduced a major travel stress point. You’re also surrounded by izakayas, malls, 7-Elevens, and countless dining options. An Ippudo Ramen location is roughly a 10-minute walk away, along with many other great local spots. Overall, this property is an excellent balance between space, location, and family-friendly functionality. I would absolutely stay here again on a future Tokyo visit.

Location is very good. Walking distance from Ueno station and Ueno station has Skyliner where you can take to go to Narita airport directly. And there's a lot of things to shop in Ueno too. I really like how this hotel uses passcodes instead of hotel room keys so I don't have to worry losing the hotel room keys. But this also means we have to trust the hotel to changing the passcodes after each check-outs.. lol. Room size is decent for the price I paid! Bed was comfortable too. Shower is big enough as well and there's a washing/dryer machine in the toilet so can wash your clothes there for free. The hotel provides detergent as well. Very thoughtful! Other than that, there isn't much public facilities for us to use, or I didn't really use them too. There's espresso capsules and machine at the lobby where we can drink for free. Overall, it's a hotel that I will consider going back again if I just want a comfortable and convenient place to stay or when I'm travelling alone!

Facilities: This is a new apartment-hotel, and the room layout is excellent, except for a slight inconvenience with luggage storage. Cleanliness: Housekeeping isn't provided during extended stays, but the washing machine and dryer for towels are fantastic. The dryer is much better than those paid services at other hotels; clothes come out perfectly dry. Environment: No complaints, other than being just a tiny bit further from the main subway station. Service: There's a Chinese-speaking front desk, and they explain everything in great detail. On Fridays, the front desk offers unlimited complimentary drinks, including alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and water. The coffee machine and tea are available 24/7. There's a direct drinking water tap in the room. They even gave us champagne for our anniversary, which was a lovely surprise! The slippers are also very comfortable. We bought Wagyu beef from the supermarket and cooked it ourselves, which was cheap and convenient. Both the shower and bathtub are very comfortable. The washing machine's dryer function is truly excellent; I managed to wash all my clothes from my winter break trip, from the UK to Qatar and then to Japan! 😂

This is honestly one of the best-value hotels I have stayed at around Akihabara. The room was much more spacious than I expected. We had two 28-inch suitcases, and we were able to open both of them fully without feeling crowded. For Tokyo, this amount of space is a big plus. The location is very convenient as well. It takes about 4 minutes to walk to Suehirocho Station on the Ginza Line, and about 8 minutes to walk to Akihabara Station. From the hotel, it is also easy to get to other popular areas, such as Ginza in around 15 minutes and Shibuya in around 30 minutes. The service was very good throughout our stay. The staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming. Check-in was smooth, and communication in English was easy. The facilities felt new, and the hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The area around the hotel is also practical. There is a 24-hour drugstore and a convenience store just about 1 minute away on foot. Don Quijote is also only around 5 minutes away and is open 24 hours, which is very useful for shopping or picking up things late at night. The only small downside is that many good restaurants nearby close quite early. After coming back from shopping or sightseeing at night, it was not always easy to find a good late-night meal. However, there is a malatang restaurant nearby that tastes pretty good and is worth trying. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Tokyo, especially if you want a spacious room, easy transportation, friendly service, and good value near Akihabara.

We absolutely loved the apartment! It was spacious and cozy, with everything we needed: a kitchen with a large fridge, a washing machine, and a balcony with a great view! We checked in before leaving Tokyo, and it was so convenient for packing our suitcases. We had plenty of space to spread out, with room left on the floor. The location was incredibly convenient. We could easily and quickly get to all the places we wanted to visit. On our departure day, we simply took the monorail to the airport. Thank you for a comfortable stay!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Family-Friendly Stay in Tokyo We had an excellent experience at this hotel. It’s extremely family friendly, with helpful staff and a comfortable atmosphere that made traveling with kids so much easier. The location is also very convenient, with quick access to many of Tokyo’s most famous areas such as Ginza, Odaiba, Disneyland and sea—perfect for sightseeing and exploring without long commutes. Our room was impressively clean and spacious, especially by Tokyo standards. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, and we had more than enough space to relax after busy days out in the city. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel for families or anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located place to stay in Tokyo. We would definitely return!

I really liked the cleanliness, the super friendly staff, and the mattress and pillows. We also used the sauna. We were comfortable throughout our stay. The only downside was the view from the window, which was just a wall of the neighboring building, and this wasn't mentioned beforehand.

This was my first time traveling to Tokyo just with my kids, so I was incredibly nervous. I spent a lot of time worrying about accommodation before the trip, but in the end, I was extremely satisfied. I don't usually use large public baths, so the absence of one wasn't an issue at all. In fact, the bathroom had a narrow, deep Japanese-style tub, so I filled it with water almost every day for a half-bath, which I actually preferred. Plus, there was a washing machine, so I could do laundry daily and always have fresh, dry clothes to wear. Room cleaning for my specific room cost 8,000 yen, so I opted to just use lint rollers every morning and evening, wiped the floor with the disposable towels I brought, and replaced the sink strainer with new ones I got. There were trash cans near the elevator on the first floor, so it was easy to dispose of sorted trash from my room periodically. (You can borrow a vacuum cleaner from reception on the first floor if you ask.) 🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷 The most memorable and best part of this accommodation was that the staff were almost always present and greeted us brightly every time we left or returned. It felt like coming home after playing, not to an empty house, but to a cheerful welcome from a younger sibling! Haha. On the last day, after check-out, we asked them to book a taxi for us, and they were so kind. They came all the way out to help us communicate with the taxi driver and waved goodbye until our taxi drove off!! My child was so touched by that, saying they were the kindest people among all the hotels we've ever stayed at, and even mentioned wanting to become a hotelier later on.🩷 (This trip was to celebrate my eldest finishing an important exam, and they didn't forget the note I left, even giving us a handwritten letter and matcha chocolates as a gift! We had completely forgotten about it, so we were surprised and touched by their thoughtfulness! 😍) I'm terrible at Japanese and not very good at English, so this trip to Tokyo was a bit sudden, but thanks to the accommodation, I was able to end the trip with good memories until the very last moment. Thank you!! I highly recommend Section L Tsukiji!!

The room isn't big, but it's spotless. It has a washing machine, TV, and air conditioning, making it a pretty compact yet refined space, perfect for couples. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and you can walk to Ginza or take the subway if you prefer. Though small, this hotel is quite elegant. I'd personally recommend it for couples staying a few days or for business travelers, as the transportation is convenient and you can do your own laundry.

It is a nice and convenient location with great accessibility of multiple train stations of different lines. It is within walking distance to Tokyo Skytree and an absolute value for money. In terms of the room- it is spacious, comes with complete kitchen utensils and dining set. Washing machine with liquid for anyone who prefer washing clothes and a room to dry the clothes within hours! As well as a foldable working table and chairs. This makes a complete home for a lovely Tokyo trip.
