"The location of the hotel is convenient for driving and navigation; the parking lot is large and free; the room is larger than the holiday inn (express), and there are two luggage storage racks. The bathroom is also good, but the washbasins for foreigners have high countertops and small washbasins, and the water for washing face and brushing teeth is slow. It's everywhere; the hotel bed springs are swaying, but it's not uncomfortable to sleep on! There were no mushrooms or vegetables for breakfast 🥬. We asked the restaurant staff for hot chocolate and they also called it for us! The foreigner white guy who checked in at the front desk was more enthusiastic, but the foreigner white woman who checked out in the morning was a little colder and polite."

"Great location and helpful friendly staff. Really comfortable bed but it would have been good if I'd had a good night's sleep. The air-conditioning unit was making a noise all night which the staff couldn't fix and they couldn't move me as the hotel was full. I was given a free breakfast and told to contact Premiere Inn as they have a Good Night's Sleep Guarantee with a refund for a bad night's sleep. First response is an apology saying I got a free breakfast. This is not meeting their guarantee!"

"Well, what can I say. Just returned from a night at this lodge. Margaret and Jenny were the most perfect hosts. Owl Lodge was stunning, with everything you could want for a perfect stay. Comfy bed, powerful shower, everything was spotlessly clean. The sauna was just what I needed. Not sure about the cold plunge in the stream (I'm clearly a big wuss!) but I put my big girls pants on and did it. I did feel better for it after. I couldn't recommend highly enough."

"SCAM SCAM SCAM. PLEASE AVOID. Please do not book this hotel under any circumstances. The hotel is closed yet falsely advertising on multiple booking sites. Do not waste your time as when you arrive you will arrive to a building site. The last positive review was 5 years ago and this hotel has been closed since. The images are from 10+ years ago. To add to this please also avoid stayforlong website as despite me advising them 3 days before our booking that the hotel was closed, they advised they have emailed the hotel who confirmed they are open. Of course they will advise this as this is part of the scam. I challenge anyone to ring the hotel. The number states they are closed even during supposed operating hours. What hotel in the world are you unable to contact via telephone."

"I THINK ROSSETT HALL HOTEL WOULD BE IDEAL FOR CONFERENCES, BUSINESS TRIPS AND SHOPPING TRIPS AS IT IS SITUATED VERY CONVENIENTLY BETWEEN WREXHAM AND CHESTER. THE HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM WAS IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER AND THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WHEN WE FIRST ARRIVED, OUR ROOM WAS VERY COLD DESPITE THE HEATERS BEING ON, BUT WHEN WE MENTIONED THIS AT RECEPTION WE WERE GIVEN AN EXRTA HEATER AND WERE SOON WARM. BREAKFAST, AND OUR EVENING MEAL AT OSCAR'S BRASSERIE WITHIN THE HOTEL, WERE BOTH FINE. HOWEVER, IF THE VIEW MATTERS TO YOU, I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU CHECK THE VIEW FROM YOUR ROOM WHEN YOU BOOK. ALL WE COULD SEE FROM OUR ROOM - ROOM 10 - WAS A RED BRICK WALL AND IT WAS VERY DEPRESSING!! BECAUSE OF THE WALL, THE ROOM WAS QUITE DARK. THE ONLY OTHER NEGATIVE POINT WAS THAT, ONCE MADE, THE BOOKING COULDN'T BE MODIFIED AND NO REFUND WOULD BE GIVEN IF IT WAS CANCELLED. MANY HOTELS ALLOW YOU TO CANCEL UP TO 48 HOURS OF THE DATE YOU WERE MEANT TO ARRIVE WITHOUT BEING CHARGED AND THAT GIVES .YOU PEACE OF MIND!"

"We didn't stay here in the end, despite booking it, and feel very unhappy about the process (review ratings above put in so I could submit the commentary below). I was in a rush, my first time using the Trip App, and there was a very cheap room only deal for this Hotel, which showed 4 stars on the Trip site. We really only needed a room for the night whilst collecting a car so I wasn't as diligent as I would normally be. We expected to arrive late, so I tried to call to notify staff and ensure we could still check in. I called the number shown but it was clearly a multi-chain customer service site and they didn't recognise either the hotel or my booking reference. I googled to find a direct number, to no avail. I then checked Tripadvisor and noticed the recent reviews were terrible. In short, this is a run-down former hotel (that had good reviews pre-covid) that was closed for some time, and has been re-opened on a "remote-managed basis" - lots of very unhappy customers, but even the Tripadvisor review hasn't yet been dragged down by the current performance. Unfortunately the "cheap" price was attached to a no-cancel policy so I was unable to cancel the booking even a few minutes after making it. We chose to stay somewhere else, and they very kindly sorted us out at a good price. I understand I am partly culpable because of a lack of due diligence, however the manner of scalping a quick booking through a cheap price and then refusing any cancellation leaves a very bitter feeling from a customer service point of view. I would hope Trip would be better than this."
