Cabana Beach Campground & RV Park

Didn’t have a reservation so we appreciate being accommodated at short notice with our small RV - great outlook over the lake but that’s where the good points end. The whole place is one step up from being condemned- calling it tired, rundown and neglected is being charitable. Bathrooms are a disgrace and the showers are coin operated - didn’t even try. Rubbish bin area is nothing short of disgraceful. Check my other reviews and you’ll see I’m usually pretty positive but I’m afraid I struggled to find anything nice to say about this place.

It’s really disappointing to see how much this property has declined. The main house where the office used to be looks abandoned, and the grounds are in rough shape—overgrown grass and trees everywhere, making it feel completely neglected. We came by to visit family who have a permanent trailer there and were shocked to be charged $10 just to park our car on site, plus an additional $17 for two guests—even though we were only staying a few hours. That would be understandable if the resort was well-maintained, but it’s far from it as well no one was there. Sadly, this place no longer feels like the welcoming spot it used to be. I hope the management makes some serious improvements.
