Stavento Hotel & Resort, New Experience

"Our stay at this villa was nothing like what was advertised. The photos online were completely misleading—the place looked much nicer in the listing than it did in person. The biggest shock was how far it actually was from the beach; it felt like a long trek every time, not at all what we expected. The villa was supposed to have three proper bedrooms, but the “third bedroom” was just an attic with a few uncomfortable beds—no privacy, no locks, and unbearably hot, even with the air conditioning struggling to keep up. Speaking of which, the AC was on, but it barely made a difference. We also had no running water for part of our stay. The host just blamed it on the city, but that’s not an excuse when you’re paying for a fully functional property. The beach was another letdown. While the sunbeds were free, the Stavento staff were pushy and aggressive, constantly pressuring us to buy things. Cleaning was almost nonexistent—our bedsheets were barely changed over nine days, and the whole place felt run-down and neglected. The only positive was the sound of the cicadas, which at least gave a bit of that Mediterranean vibe we were hoping for. Honestly, this was one of the most disappointing trips we’ve had. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and I wish we’d known the truth before booking."

Long Beach Hotel & Resort

"I stayed here last week for a few days to attend a wedding. The resort and overall location is nice but it’s about 2 hours from Athens airport and there are also no amenities within walking distance but you can get a taxi to the nearby village for a few euros. The staff are all friendly and hardworking but- the big let down was the food in the restaurant. It was all just bland and very plain which is a shame. The pool bar does offer a selection of other foods to purchase which although a bit pricy, is worth it."

"The hotel is located on the beach, quiet and everything is very clean (room, bathroom, bed sheets, towels), comfortable bed. Rooms are cleaned daily. Facilities included in the accommodation price: A/C, flat TV, mini fridge, safe box, hair dryer, Wi-Fi (weak signal in the room, but good signal on the restaurant terrace). The hotel manager and all the hotel staff are very friendly, kind and prompt to any customer request. The breakfast is varied, the food is fresh. The hotel restaurant is very good, with reasonable prices, open until 01.00 AM. I think the hotel has the most beautiful terrace-restaurant in Selianitika, by the sea and with lamps on the tables (by the light of which you can read), in the night is magical! The sea water is crystal clear and calm, the beaches are small/narrow, with pebbles/gravel/stones, few sunbeds, but I enjoyed sitting on the towel placed directly on the pebbles. I stayed at this hotel for a week, in a room on the top floor (2nd floor) with a sea view, from the bed you can see the sea and the sunrise behind the mountains. :) I took the photos from the balcony of the room where I stayed. I had a wonderful vacation, in an area of special beauty, quiet and clean. I wish to come back to this place and to Hotel Kanelli Beach."

"Had one night here on our road trip through the area, and were in general quite happy. When we arrived there was no one there, so we had to find a phone number to call, but they came within a few minutes. For some reason they had not realized that they had any arrivals that day, but our reservation was found and all was good from there. The room, which consisted of two levels, were nice and so was the premises. Unfortunately it was raining that day, so we didn't use the pool area which looked very nice. The hotel is situated in a residental area with a short walk to the lake/beach which called for a lovely morning bath. It's also within walking distance to the small village nearby, that has a few nice restaurant. All in all a nice stopover."

"My favorite place! Excellent hospitality in a beautiful setting, with views of the village and surrounding mountains, and a wonderful sense of aesthetics and atmosphere. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. There’s a cozy fireplace—perfect for spending an evening with friends and playing board games. Most of all, the warmth and genuine hospitality of the family who run the place make it truly special. Strongly recommended!"

"Not recommended for solo female travellers. Inappropriate behaviour from one member of the staff during the night shift. Very unpleasant and disturbing to be treated in an inappropriate manner as a hotel guest. The shower was broken too!"
