Hotel Schaider
"A very charming little hotel. The facilities are complete. There's a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and gym. Free parking is available. The breakfast is good. It's located in a quiet little village; you can even find hazelnuts nearby."
Hotel Rupertihof
"More show than substance – that's the proverbial motto here. We had taken advantage of a bargain offer through Travelcircus. Unfortunately, the entire stay was plagued with problems from beginning to end: - Upon arrival, the bed linen was dirty, with nail polish stains, a large urine stain, and large tears in the fabric. We informed the owner, ************, but he simply sent his staff to clean it up. No apology! - Then there were bloodstains on the floor and a large stain on the wall, as well as a thick layer of dust under the bed. We informed ************ again: "Someone will take care of it right away." - No apology! - Breakfast and dinner were okay overall, but here too, the dishes were often dirty (despite the supposedly new kitchen). The breakfast buffet had no labels. The staff were quite friendly, but often overwhelmed. - Then the kicker: My Finnish sauna caught fire! The provided sauna infusion had an excessively high concentration of the substance in the bucket. I couldn't have known that beforehand. Luckily, I was able to extinguish the fire and immediately informed everyone involved at the hotel: reception, maintenance staff, and the owner, Mr. ************. He arrived right away, but again offered no apology and simply sent me back to my room. Fortunately, I was able to put out the fire myself with the hose from the steam room! Otherwise, I would have been completely shut down. Even a day later, there was still no reaction from the owner, as if nothing had happened. The burnt sauna infusion bucket was still there days later! Even when I pointed out the sauna heater with the protruding hot wires, which is a safety hazard for guests, there was no reaction from the owner. He just laughed at me: "What could possibly happen?" - The Bergerbad spa is generally okay, but it also needs maintenance: there's a lack of upkeep in the swimming pools and whirlpool. There's standing water in the showers, both indoors and outdoors. Much of it is very primitively made or built from the start, clearly a DIY job. You can tell immediately. Otherwise, it's alright; the relaxation rooms in both facilities are excellent! - I couldn't use the barrel sauna and whirlpool at the Rupertihof; they were always switched off. - A note about the ********* call bus would have been helpful for guests arriving by train. There was no mention of it. - Positive points: Our request for twin beds in a triple room was granted free of charge, and the breakfast was varied with omelets, freshly baked waffles, scrambled eggs, etc. Dinner was also nicely presented with a wide selection of drinks, but otherwise nothing special. We've had enough of the Rupertihof! This is also reflected in some other guests' reviews. The staff can't be blamed; they often did their best. It's solely the fault of the greedy ************! A musician and manager of several of his hotels—it just doesn't add up. He should stick to his music or perform in the circus."
Bayern Chalets Bei Salzburg Und Berchtesgaden Mit Whirlpool Und Sauna
"We stayed 3 weeks at Bayern Chalet and had a very pleasant stay - up to a point. Staff was very kind and helpful. Our chalet was perfect for us bringing 2 dogs with us. Unfortunately our stay got ruined the last day, when we were checking out. Having difficulty with our credit cards, (after all we ended up paying about 10000 Euro) the owner, Hr Berger, an elderly man in traditional tirolean costume, got hysterical. He refused to coorperate and didn’t want the last part of the amount via bank transfer that could have solved all problems for all of us. We had already prepayed an amount from home via bank transfer several months before, so of course it could not be a problem. But Hr Berger, being very inflexible, insisted, we could not leave his premises before paying in cash or credit. Calling our bank eventually made it possible for us to pay the last amount by credit card. In meantime the manager, because if his unpleasant, hysterical and evil attitude, absolutely destroyed an overall nice stay at the chalet. Not a cheap prize to be treated so badly. Unfortunately, it isn’t easy not to think of 3. Reich when you meet types like Hr Berger in Germany. I’m sure he is fond to read, we will never come back. We, on the other hand, are quite shocked that such people still exist. How can they run a hotel? I feel very sorry for the staff."
