"Hotel is right by the seafront with amazing sea view. Very spacious and clean hotel room with a huge balcony - much more spacious than most hotels we have stayed in Corsica. Comfortable bed, with local biscuits given as a welcome gift (nice thought!). As hotel is not in the middle of tow centre (but in scenic seaside), best to have a car. All in all I loved the stay."

"The room was large and could accommodate 4 people. When I checked in on the first day, the male waiter was indifferent. We criticized him and became particularly friendly the next 2 days. The attractions introduced to us by the front desk on the second day were very unprofessional. If you are looking for good attractions, be sure to go to the visitor center in the city, which recommended the restaurant to see the sunset (les Sanguinaires) and several museums that are free on Sundays!"

"We came for 1 night with my son, the reception was pleasant. The swimming pool is heated and there are transactions, but there is a cabin to change. The top roof is incredible! We have not tested the sports room and sauna (free). The rooms are well-equipped (2 twin beds for us) and we feel good. A address to be held for a next visit to Corsica."

Sofitel Golfe d'Ajaccio Thalassa Sea & Spa

"Fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. Rooms are large and comfortable with wonderful views. We had room 140 and could have happily spent the whole stay on our balcony! The bed was sublime and housekeeping was of the highest quality.The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and professional but a special mention must go to Clara the concierge and Ingrid at front of house, both of whom went out of their way to make our stay special. The pool area is a peaceful haven with an enormous pool and with gardens and a beach area, nowhere ever felt crowded. The spa is huge and we had one of the best couples massage in a long time. Breakfast options were varied and service was impeccable at all times. All in all, it was a wonderful week and though it was our first trip, it certainly won’t be our last."

"Les Mouettes is truly one of "Les Grands Maisons Corses". We stayed for 2 nights, and this was one of the highlights of our trip to Corsica. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. The views are stunning. The service is impeccable. Reliable wifi has apparently not come to Corsica as yet. I had to occasionally shift position to get a decent signal. However, this is only a minor irritant. The staff were friendly and helpful, and ensured our stay was memorable and enjoyable."

"The scenery of this hotel is really amazing!!! It is very close to the airport. After I got off the North Pole at Napoleon Bonaparte Airport, I even walked to the hotel. There is a beach outside the hotel where you can sunbathe, swim, and play jet skis."

"My God!!! Words can't describe this place, which isn't really a hotel at all. An old apartment building converted into a so-called hotel. A scandal at €168 a night. Straight out of a horror movie. We left at dawn. Run away."

"The apartment had single-glazed windows, and all the noise from the cars below and a nearby nightclub kept us awake. The curtains weren't suitable and let in light, so we were woken up at 7 a.m. It's a real shame because the setting and location are very nice."
