"Hotel was isolated. Away from all the great tourist spots. Rooms were on the older side, needs renovation. Food was subpar. Won’t be staying, not considered 5 star at all. Maybe 2 star at most. Don’t recommend at all. "

"My husband stayed here for a month many years ago at the age of 13 as a guest of the former owners who had a 13 year old son. He always wanted to return and take me. This hotel did not disappoint! This is a very special place. We stayed during the “shoulder season” in the second week of June before rates climb for the season. For a splurge, ask for room 19. The cozy room and bathroom with tub are nicely appointed. The star of the show is the terrace that looks out over the Mediterranean and has a sitting area and a bed (!) where you can lay and look out at the view. We enjoyed our breakfasts that included various sweet breads and croissants plus eggs, fresh fruit, granola and more. A dinner we had at the restaurant was very good but pricey. The service overall was excellent. We’d love to return someday!"

"An authentic, properly made French soupe de poisson has to be one of my culinary winter favourites. For some reason it's hard to find the 'right' version that offers the traditional rich flavour, even in France. To my surprise, the restaurant at the hotel served one of the most delicious soupes I've ever had. Sadly, not the same good luck in the other restaurants on the island, so more than once decided to keep the dinner light to enjoy a late soupe treat upon returning to the hotel. And adding to this rare find are the wonderful views, facilities and the efficient service you get at the hotel, which is a great choice for that corner of the island."

"NOTE: WE STAYED IN HOTEL KALLISTE, WHIC I BELIEVE IS DIFFERENT THAN RESIDENCE KALLISTE, BUT THIS IS WHERE REVIEW REQUEST LINK BROUGHT ME - Very comfortable bed, small room but adequate and not unusual for European hotels, good bathroom, shower and towels. Very conveniently located, parking garage a plus. Very good breakfast each morning, many options including local chestnut cakes and honey. Bad smell at hotel entry near elevator should be eliminated. Leaving the door open as they do in the morning reduces smel, but does not eliminate the cause of the problem since it returns by the evening, when the door is closed."
