"Unfortunately, I find myself sharing a bad experience regarding customer service and assistance that has left me deeply shocked and sorry😔 I had to cancel my reservation for this hotel due to a family emergency that unfortunately ended tragically (death of the direct relative). I promptly communicated the situation to the hotel (first by phone then by email) as soon as I was able, the reception was kind but said it was not their fault... the hotel first procrastinated and then strongly denied both a request for cancellation without penalty and a request for a possible voucher to be used in the future so as not to lose our money entirely (we had already paid 100% of the stay). Since it was an emergency and only one night, I absolutely wasn't expecting it. I was practically certain they would help me in some way, and I've never encountered such a lack of humanity and understanding. They even told me there was no other option but to stay... so according to these people, one should just go on vacation while a relative (I repeat, first-degree relative) is dying... It's unbelievable... it hurts me just to write it. I was deeply affected by this negative experience in an already painful situation, especially with an autistic son. I had booked for him and would have done everything possible to return on other dates in the future (I explained this too), but nothing, and then a silence of three days without a response to my last email, followed by a phone call in which, instead of apologizing and trying to find a solution to repair the damage, they called me rude and threatening—things that absolutely don't apply to me, and I know the hospitality world very well. Truly embarrassing. The least I can do is report my negative experience. I didn't receive a refund (full or partial, they never even offered one to me) or the offer of a voucher or similar (again, I made the offer, not them...), but instead received categorical refusals. What can I say? A total lack of humanity and professionalism. I don't know where they learned it, but hospitality is a different world. A friend of mine in another facility was immediately offered a voucher for much less in a less serious situation than mine... A terrible impression, and for me, just a bad memory and wasted hard-earned money. I totally advise against it."
