"Just returned from a four-day break in Scotland with Caledonian. Coach drivers were excellent, Chris our driver was excellent, second to no one. He was exceptional with passengers that have mobility issues. Caledonian are incredibly lucky to have him. It was completely different when we arrived at the hotel. When we found the room, at the furthest away on the ground floor, I went to reception and interrupted both receptionists eating their evening meal on the customer desk in view of everybody. I asked to change the room as it was not disability friendly, so chewing her meal so said we had not required one, but I know we did, especially as we need an adapted bathroom. But she insisted we had only asked for a double room. I was terribly upset but she did not care, just got on eating her dinner, and was not going to help us. I tried to ask her about the supplement we had paid for a loch view and as we did not have one, she said she did not deal with that so said we need to ring head office. Then happily went on eating her dinner, until it was time to sell bingo tickets. The entertainment was OK, and pleasant to watch, if you like that sort of thing. The evening meal had to be ordered in the morning, during a particularly good buffet breakfast so the dining room staff were very efficient and pleasant, and the meals were OK and easy to eat. I will certainly never go with Caledonian again, due to the run-down hotel, which is very much in need of refurbishment along with some of the staff needing customer care training."

"The room is relatively large, with high ceilings, and is very comfortable to live in. The building is relatively old. Although it is on the roadside, it is relatively quiet overall and is quite comfortable to live in."
