"Cuestas Beach Resort was a welcome location, straight off the Ceres bus from Cebu. A patch of paradise 🌺
The staff are ever so lovely, especially the receptionist Ginky. All of the staff were more than happy to please and attend.
The owner Mons introduced himself and with a wealth of local information, this made our canyoneering and zip-line booking so easy. He was helpful and pleasant always.
The pool is surrounded by lovely, manicured gardens, and the lighting at night has a delightful ambience. It is one of the few resorts I have come across whereby you can swim in the pool until 10pm.
And the food? DELICIOUS. Couldn’t fault it.
We were even happy that we got rained-in for a day, just to enjoy the surrounds and relaxing vibe of the resort."
"We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. What makes it truly special is its unique location: set on a small island just 10 minutes by boat from the mainland, it genuinely feels like being alone in the world. The setting is peaceful, charming, and beautifully secluded.
The pool is lovely, the small beach is very enjoyable, and above all, the kindness of the staff is exceptional. The team is attentive, warm, and truly contributes to the overall experience.
On the downside, because the island is quite isolated, dining options are limited to the hotel’s restaurant unless you take the boat back to the mainland. This makes both the room rates (even though the view is beautiful) and the food prices feel somewhat high.
We were a family of five, added an extra bed, and requested early check-in, which significantly increased the final bill for our two-night stay. The total cost ended up being quite substantial.
That said, we still had a wonderful time and keep very fond memories of our stay. It is a beautiful and special place overall."
"The location was perfect, very accessible to the tourists spots near in moalboal, lambug beach, osmeña peak, kawasan falls. Also, the staffs are very accommodating. The room is clean. The bathroom is very comfortable. AC is cold."
"We reached out to the owner and they were responsive. The place is quite like I wanted since we brought our Son with us. The staffs are friendly and accommodating. The beach is 3-4 mins walk and was incredibly amazing. We enjoyed our stay, did not expect the room was huge, the cr was huge too!! Was able to cook. Overall, I wanna go back!! Thank you Homestay!!"
"The hotel is on a good beach, but bear in mind that there are strong waterfalls. The hotel is more focused on Philippine guests. Rooms are simple, mattresses and pillows are quite tough, would like to be soft. Cleaning is daily or as necessary. Very responsive and friendly staff, try to make your rest as comfortable as possible in the hotel. But!!! There are a lot of flip-karaoke bars nearby that will not allow you to lie on the beach in silence and relax. However, if no one is singing in karaoke, the beach is very beautiful and quiet."
"Modest, clean, with room to grow. the owners are nice people. big room. everything went well. price-quality, but this area will not be like in the capital, do not expect anything big."
