"Location: The hotel is about 15 minutes' drive from Haputale and 5 minutes away from the Diyatalawa train station. Check-in: We were served cinnamon tea with palm sugar upon check-in. While our room was being cleaned, we waited in the hotel lobby where the friendly chef shared the hotel's history with us. Room: Our room featured a plush king bed, high ceilings, and sliding doors that open completely for an indoor-outdoor experience. The plunge pool is located next to the deck, overlooking the property's main pool and garden. The pool includes a jacuzzi. The room comes with a well-stocked coffee bar, and the spacious cupboard includes slippers and robes. The deck features two bean bags for lounging. The furniture and decor are modern and tasteful, offering a sense of quiet luxury. However, the room lacks privacy as it is next to the parking lot. The Wi-Fi in the room is fast and reliable. Food: We had dinner served in our room. The food was mild, and the dishes needed more seasoning. Service: The hotel manager, housekeeper, gardener, and chef are extremely friendly."

"Disappointing Experience Despite Great Location Our recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing, despite its fantastic location. The initial impression was positive, especially with the cable car experience, but everything went downhill once we entered our room. Upon arrival, we found two used towels on the bed, which was quite unsettling. We requested fresh towels, but even then, there was no hot water available, making it impossible to enjoy a warm shower in the freezing cold. To add to our frustration, the room lacked basic amenities such as tissues—there was only an empty tissue box. The cleanliness of the room was another major issue. The bed was covered in dirt and dead ants, forcing us to do our own housekeeping. This is simply unacceptable. To top it all off, dinner was terrible, making the entire experience even more regrettable. It’s clear that the staff responsible for maintaining the property are not taking their duties seriously. This lack of responsibility and attention to detail left us with a negative impression of what could have been a great stay."

"Ollie Resort is not a resort, and the photos available online, although authentic, do not show everything and do not reflect the reality of the place. The photos are taken at specific angles. Upon our arrival, we discovered a dirty and poorly maintained room, which is unacceptable. The gentleman at the reception does his best to manage everything, but it is clear that it is not his job. He doesn't speak English well, which makes communication even more difficult. Hotel not accessible by car. I recommend that you be wary of photos because they are misleading and do not show the real state of the premises or the surroundings. Ollie resort is not what we see in the photos. A great disappointment for a stay that does not correspond at all to expectations."

"We had an amazing stay at Top Mountain Hotel in Diyathalawa. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable with beautiful views. The garden area is peaceful and well maintained, perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The food was delicious, fresh, and well presented. What really stood out was the friendly and helpful staff who treated us like family. Highly recommended!"
