"Our room was on the top floor. It looked a bit like an attic room. We had not booked this room, but another room according to the pictures on the site. There was only a small skylight. A small television screen, desk with chair and an easy chair. There was only 1 bedside table. In the bathroom there was a shower curtain in front of the window. I had reported downstairs that the side indicator was flashing above a number of doors. The owner said there is nothing wrong, the fire brigade checked this morning and everything is fine. She said something to her staff in Frisian, which I couldn't understand. I didn't feel comfortable at all. I didn't sleep well that night and was also bothered by mosquitoes"

"The rooms were spacious and clean, the lobby was beautiful, and the dinner and breakfast were both good 👍. It's close to Giethoorn, and the area around the hotel is very quiet. I would choose this hotel in other places in the future."

"Excellent hotel, on a quiet spot next to a pond, entering the lobby with a cosmopolitan touch already makes you feel happy. We had a splendid 4th floor corner room in the ‘tower’. Upgrade rooms are located in another building and have a terrace, we didn’t miss it as it was cold and the big windows with lots of view are more then convenient. Excellent bedding, big bathroom also with a window on the surrounding nature. We had a reasonable dinner in the large and fancy restaurant. Excellent breakfast."

"We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, one superior class than the other one, but I must say both rooms have beautiful interiors and very cozy. Good size shower cabin with 2 shower heads, washbasin are in the bedroom, same as the bathtub. Room is equipped with tea maker and coffee machine. One of the room was located near the busy popular restaurant/hang out spot hence the loud music could be hear in the evening from the room, even with window closed. But it stopped after the closing hour. The food from the restaurant located at the ground floor was tasty. Staffs were friendly and food was served very fast despite the busy hour. Good address to stay."
