"It was a pleasure to return to Teach an Cheoil B&B!! The house occupies a stunning location overlooking a beautiful glen with views out towards the sea, and the quietness of the setting makes relaxation non-optional!! Michael is the perfect host with a warm welcome and efficient check-in, explaining all the features of the well-appointed room and answering any questions I had. Sleep quality in the very comfortable and recently-decorated and spacious bedroom was the best I have experienced in all my recent travels and the substantial breakfast, showcasing very tasty local ingredients, was a delight. Plus it wasn't a bother for Michael to provide this to me quite early on a Sunday, due to my onward travel plans. The distinctive sounds of Irish traditional music provided a unique and completely non-obtrusive background to my stay, in keeping with the B&B's 'House of Music' identity! And, as always, the cost was more than reasonable for the exceptional offering. Very highly recommended - I will look forward to my next visit!! Thank you Michael and all at Teach an Cheoil!!"

Teach an Cheoil ★★★
"I was hiking the causeway coast & this provided me with a lovely experience to relax in the evening and get a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning. Michael is a fantastic host, taxis to b&b cheap from ballycastle and can park at house . As a solo traveller room was really big with both a double ved and a single plus en suite bathroom. Shower was lovely and warm bed super comfy. The residence is about 90 min walk fron ballycastle and most road has no pavement. You can book a taxi which costs £10-£11 or its perfect if you have a vehicle. You will pay alot more in centre of Ballycastle and feel less authentic staying in a B&B there. Michael recommended Anzac in Ballycastle and that didnt dissapoint (pic of burger attached). I plan to stay again next time i hike the coast!"

Black Knowe, Luxury Glamping Pods, Ballycastle ★★★★
"We had a lovely stay at Black Knowe and really enjoyed our time here. It's a charming and cosy place to stay, with easy access to many of the area's main attractions. We had pre-booked the s'mores package, which was a lovely touch. What none of us expected, however, was to experience a two-week heatwave in Ireland! Naturally, the pods became very warm in the sunshine, so roasting marshmallows in 30°C and bright sunshine felt a little unusual. Under more typical Irish weather, I'm sure the experience would have been even better—but we still had a great time. The large grassy area outside the pods was fantastic for our children. They had plenty of space to run around and even made friends with the family staying in the neighbouring pod. Feeding the alpacas was another highlight, although the goats seemed determined to eat most of the food themselves! They even came to greet us on our first evening, and we quickly realised we had to keep the pod doors closed if we didn't want unexpected visitors inside. Overall, this was exactly the kind of glamping experience we were hoping for. Relaxing, family-friendly, and full of charm. We'd happily stay here again."

StayLagom ★★★
"We had an absolutely fabulous stay at Rider’s Lodge at Stay Lagom last week. We stayed as a family of four with two young children (5 and 2) and the accommodation was perfect for us – spacious, incredibly comfortable and so well thought out. It really did have everything we needed and more. There was plenty of room for us all without ever feeling on top of one another, and lots of little touches that made it feel as though real thought had gone into how people would actually use the space. The property was incredibly clean and tidy whilst keeping some warm little extras to feel at home. The hot tub was a particular highlight. Once the children were in bed, being able to sit outside in the hot tub and properly relax was such a treat and probably one of our favourite parts of the stay (NB this is wood fired, so you need to get the logs burning a few hours before you dip a toe in!). The location worked really well for us too. It was peaceful and tranquil, but well positioned for exploring the surrounding area, so we never felt as though we had sacrificed convenience for the lovely setting. Whilst it is part of more available at Stay Lagom, it felt incredibly private, undisturbed and very peaceful. Rider’s Lodge is just one of several different accommodation options at Stay Lagom, with properties that would work for families, couples, solo travellers or groups of friends. Having now stayed here as a family, we’re already hoping to plan a return with a group in the future. Stay Lagom really was a special little gem and somewhere we were very reluctant to leave. Beautiful accommodation, plenty of space, a wonderfully peaceful setting and everything we could have wanted for our stay. We would happily return. **I am an independent travel agent but provide only genuine reviews on places where I stay. This two-night stay at Rider's Lodge was part of a wider family holiday and was not as a result of any invitation or any incentive."
