The Calm Resort & Spa ★★★★★
"We had an incredible stay Staff are very kind The amenities are good The beach is extremely goog for swimming surfing and all water sports Be careful of insects and lizards and don’t leave room door and windows open"
Riviera Resort ★★
"When we arrived, we were immediately taken by the setting, by the lagoon, sorrounded by coconut trees and banana trees, birds chirping, pretty colonial style reception and bar area. There is also a brand new restaurant and function room building behond the bar. However, upon being shown to our chalet we were immediatly disappointed. It was old and tired, in need of some serious refurbishment. Doors and windows wouldn't shut properly, locks were stiff of not lined up so they couldn't be locked at all. Light switches 6ft up on the bathroom wall useless for my wife and children, no drinks making facility in the room. The beds were comfortable enough but thee not enough pillows, the ones we had were as flat as pancakes. The tired failities extended to the swimming pool, one end of it closed off and the rest had cracked and missing tiles, which my youngest cut her foot on. When i told the staff they didn't really seem to be bothered that she had injured herself. Unless they spend some time and effort renovating this place i would not visit again, shame, because the setting is perfect."
Amaya Beach Passikudah ★★★★★
"Very nice hotel, perfect for truly unwinding. Unfortunately, the beach isn't suitable for swimming as it's full of stones and coral. The food is very good and the rooms are huge. The service is pretty mediocre, though. Even though we were asked via WhatsApp the day before about our arrival time and bed preference, neither was taken into account. We had to wait an hour even though check-in was officially from 2 PM. Instead of a shared bed, we got two single beds. They really could have saved themselves the trouble of asking. Otherwise, everything else was great."
Amethyst Resort ★★★★
"Excellent resort, very friendly staff, food is superb,.. Sasintha and Umesh at the Taporabine restaurant were exceptional. They made us welcome. Overwhelming hospitality. Lovely place. Must visit, great beach with natural beauty and beautiful birds. William at the reception was so welcoming. Home away from home"
Sunrise Pasikuda ★★★★★
"I liked the hotel. The balcony is very comfortable and welcoming – a table, chairs, and a sofa. The sea is stunning! The beach is clean, the water is turquoise. Everything works in the room. It's clean! I'm a little tired, but so far so good. The food was à la carte. Delicious! I liked that the chef interacts with each guest. The menu is more European (onion soup (good!), pumpkin soup, pork with sweet potato puree), but Sri Lankan cuisine is always present in the main course! Shrimp was always on the menu. For Sri Lanka, the hotel is good. It has its own atmosphere and ambiance, which is what we come to this country for. This isn't a European 5-star hotel. Sri Lankan – yes! The restaurant staff is sometimes overly attentive. Since the hotel wasn't very busy, there was too much attention."
Hotel Naaval ★★★
"We spent two nights here on vacation and I must say that everything was excellence .Room Everything is great with a lagoon view .Excellence place to relax. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast was very delicious .I would definitely recommend this hotel."
The Bay an Uga Experience -Pasikuda ★★★★★
"Beautiful resort, amazing staff, the best beach I've seen in Sri Lanka so far, great food. 10/10"
Karpaha Sands ★★★★★
"We had an amazing stay at Karpaha Sands. Everything about this place is designed to relax you, and everything is made remarkably easy for you. The rooms are very comfortable, and the outdoor shower was incredible to use. Food throughout was sublime, and the experiences such as the cinema under the stars and henna were very well organised. The beach similarly is clean, and the sea calm and empty. Staff are incredibly friendly and very efficient. This was an wonderful place to stay and we would love to be back."
Sun Siyam Pasikudah ★★★★★
"Hotel staff couldn’t do enough for us. Hotel beautiful and lots of activities such as Sri Lankan dancing on the beach and movie nights. Such a great place to relax."

Giman Free Beach Resort Pasikuda
"We had an amazing family stay at Giman Free Resort. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the kids loved the pool. The food was delicious with plenty of options for everyone. A perfect spot for a peaceful and enjoyable family getaway. Highly recommend!"
Kay Jay Beach House - Pasikudha
"Such a lovely place! Great setting, great price, great staff. The food was delicious, they would take your order early & buy all the produce for your meals at the market - so all incredibly fresh produce. The pool was lovely & clean, and the whole place was just so relaxing, with basically it's very own bit of beach! The staff treat the Villa as their own, very personal, respectful & clean. If you're looking for a relaxing & quiet stay, this is the place. Thanks for a great stay! "
Breeze Pasikudah
"The hotel is in very poor condition, resembling an old, nearly broken building that doesn't feel safe. The staff is okay, but not exceptional. The management is extremely poor; no one from management spoke with us. When we asked at reception, they said the manager was busy and unavailable. We felt ignored as guests. The reception constantly provided false information. Don't book here and don't waste your money—they don't know how to communicate with guests. We suggest closing the hotel, as it already looks abandoned. It's better to shut it down."
Marina Beach Passikudah
"Do not do this to yourself. I repeat, DO NOT do this to yourself! This is not a hotel you want to stay at for anything more than $20 per night. Understaffed, haven’t had a working bar in weeks (if not months). The pool is a gangrenous mess, almost guaranteed to cripple the rest of your holiday with Montezuma’s Revenge (photo included). I’d imagine the food would be similar, if they bothered to cook any (evening restaurant picture included). No protection from insects in the shower windows. Some guests were using towels to block the swarms of wasps entering to terrorise them in a vulnerable state (photo included…of the towels…). Sacrificing one of the two bathmats provided as ‘towels’ (photo included) highlights just how terrifying the wasp situation must have been for some. If you like a few cold sundowners, don’t go looking here for any joy. There is no bar. The hotel claim they have been waiting for a ‘liquor order’ for 15 days, but it’s clearly a practised line they’ve been spouting for sometime longer than this. Photo of the empty ‘bar’, and the available stock attached. The beach is nice. Not enough umbrellas or beds (actually there probably are thinking about it, to accommodate the three desperate souls rattling around here). Looking at past reviews, this was once a passable hotel. It’s clearly fallen on hard times, and don’t appear to have enough funds left to actually, you know, run anything resembling a working hotel. $140 per night is truly criminal for this place. We ran away as soon as possible (a few hours), and luckily found refuge at the Sunrise Hotel next door for around the same rate. The Sunrise is absolutely wonderful. Only stay at this hotel if you are a masochist who likes burning money, and you have no interest in enjoying literally anything about being here."
