I didn’t want to leave at all, but we were able to book only for one day; there were no villas available for other dates. The general manager met us and we had a personal assistant. Everything is so beautiful, rooms with a private courtyard are more private than those with access to the sea. The interior is very stylish, a cool area for tea and a shower outside, and the most important thing is the presence of a bathroom) In the main building there is an area for working on a computer and a children's area - an incredibly beautiful room. There are many photo zones on the beach, there is a bar near the pool, and waiters serve drinks. The breakfast is perfect, the presentation and the dishes themselves are top class. We liked the dinner, we ordered a dish from the chef, it depends on the catch that day. We had lobsters. Everywhere they give compliments - coconuts upon arrival, shrimp by the pool, detox drinks for breakfast, etc. We travel a lot, but this particular hotel has sunk into our hearts. Probably, it’s also a matter of emotional attitude towards each guest. The general manager, Umberto, an Italian, accompanied us along with the rest of the staff. We'll definitely come back again."

"Very DISAPPOINTED and BAD Service In case if you are planning to leave from this hotel in late nights, please do NOT depend on ride from this hotel. Here is my experience, I traveled to Colombo, Sri Lanka and reserved the East Lagoon hotel for 2 nights on December 19 to 21. Took the train from Colombo to Batticaloa arrived late night (around 11 PM) on December 19th, where no issues in the transportation from Batticaloa railway station to the hotel, since I hired a tuk tuk from the station (plenty of them available as they wait for passengers from the train). Next day, before I leave from the hotel in the morning I went to the front desk and asked the receptionist (his name is Dhanush) for a taxi or tuk tuk later in the night (around midnight) to catch the train from Batticaloa station (leaving at 1.30 AM on Dec 21, 2023) to back in Colombo. His response was "yes no problem we can call the tuk tuk any time and not an issue". So I trusted his answer and I did my personal visits in Batticaloa and later in the afternoon/evening went for walk in the town. It was a very beautiful experience and enjoyed my short visit to this beautiful city (went after more than 35 years to this city). Later in the evening I came back to my hotel room, refreshed and had a rest for couple hours. Closer to midnight I packed my stuff and went to reception to check out and asked for tuk tuk service. Same person (Dhanush) told me that nothing available and you have to find your own way. I was shocked and replied to him saying that "you confirmed in the morning and now you are saying no", for that he simply said "we can NOT do anything and you can walk from here and catch a tuk tuk near some hospital". Very arrogantly told me and not even apologizing it or didn't find a way to help me out. Simply walked away and he was concentrating on his other work (importantly made sure to get the money from me for 2 nights and gave me the invoice, which I have the scanned copy attached and it has all the times of check in and out). I waited for 5 minutes as I was expecting them to arrange something but no response. So I took a risk and walked away in the midnight (security at the gate was shocked and he tried calling someone and no luck). Please think that I'm going to this town after more than 35 years and everything changed (don't know the streets well too), raining, carrying a big bag, very dark and some areas of the road doesn't have lights, not a straight road to station and plenty of street dogs all over the place (which are very aggressive in the night). Finally took me about 30 minutes to arrive at the station with full of mud on my feet where I stepped in darker areas of the road. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AND SO PANICKED until I reached the station. If they have told me this response in the morning (when I inquired in the morning for the taxi service later in the night), then I would have pre-arranged through my contacts in the morning or arranged from the town (I saw so man"

"This house / boutique hotel is quite simply stunning with beautiful expansive views of the ocean. I would like to keep it to myself but feel compelled to tell everyone about it and to say that it is worth a stop whatever your final destination on the east coast of Sri Lanka. The staff are kind and attentive and their attention to detail is second to none. The young chef cooked the most tasty food. We had Sri Lankan curries including a first class crab curry and lots of vegetable side dishes. All were excellent. There is nothing to fault here. You will not be disappointed and like us you will not want to leave. Thank you to all the staff."

"Best thing about the hotel is the location. Nature lovers and people who like peaceful places must book this hotel only. And book it on full moon night. You will never regret. It will be a lifetime experience. Extremely extremely fantabulous moonlit night stay it will be for the nature loving people. Totally satisfied with the hotel stay. Clean rooms , Clean bathroom with bath tub , clean swimming pool , Moonlit beach experience. Beach is just 5 steps away from the hotel. Everything about the hotel is just 10/10. The staffs will make sure that you enjoy your stay completely. Babu supervisor , Ajeeth manager , Pavi cook + auto driver , Neroshan helper , Darshini and Ronshini cleaners..all of them did an amazing job to make our stay enjoyable. All of them are very very helpful , cooperative, supportive and hospitable. 10/10 Pavi makes very delicious food for the guest. Indian, Sri Lankan, English breakfast options are available. A la carte menu is available for lunch dinner snacks. Alcoholic drinks are also available. Food quantity is more than enough. One person cannot finish the food, they give huge quantity. We witnessed fresh fish buying from the beach fishermen. You may buy fresh fish from there and ask the restaurant staff to cook it for you. No disturbance, Only Peace and Enjoyment. "
