"We stayed from August 12th to 15th.
It's close to the downtown area and has bicycle rentals (1,000 yen per bicycle for 2 hours, with a 1,000 yen refund upon return. They also have parent-child bicycles), so we were able to have dinner at an izakaya about a 5-minute bike ride away. We went to an izakaya that offers complimentary service when you stay at the Vessel Hotel, so we got a free drink, which was a great deal! โ
The lobby and rooms were clean, and the interior was a lovely Okinawan light blue theme.
The lobby offered free welcome drinks and ice cream, which the kids loved. ๐ต
The staff were very friendly, and although breakfast was very crowded (since our ferry time was approaching), when we told them we'd eat in our room, they quickly found a seat for us, which was very helpful!
There was a sanshin live performance in the evening on August 14th, and many guests came to see it. โ"

FFarrell_Q1. Advantages
(1) The location is very good, on the main road in the city, surrounded by many restaurants and supermarkets, and close to the pier. The shuttle service is also convenient.
(2) The dining area provides regular shochu, tea, and ice.
2. Disadvantages
(1) On the day of check-out, I came back from sailing and used the bathroom on the first floor to pick up my luggage. I was charged 1,200 yen for two people. I was also a guest staying for a few days. The room cost 100,000 yen, and they were charged for using the bathroom.
(2) I asked the front desk to help me book a sailing trip for the next day, but it was not possible. In the end, they said it was not possible.

CCL8888There are 3 different buildings in this hotel, please make sure you choose the โMisaki Wingโ, as it is the newest building and it will face the ocean terminal side. The room is actually not that roomy, however, it is reasonably clean. Floor space is lacking for 2 adults with barely enough room to open two suitcase. However, I would recommend this hotel considering its prime location to the terminal and nearby restaurants. One thing to note is that, if you arrive at the hotel early before the check-in time, the hotel staff would not let you check-in early. Therefore, in the lobby, you will see many people waiting for the official time to check-in, and when the time comes, many people will line-up get checked-in. This is rather a chaotic situation and can be easily solved if the hotel can simply allow guest to check-in earlier. I was there 30 mins early and was told I cannot check-in and need to wait. But it was not a busy season and there are so many rooms in this hotel.

KKaaaaoThis is my third time using this hotel.
I always use this hotel when I come to Ishigaki because the sunset looks beautiful.
This time, there was a luxury cruise ship as well, so I was able to look outside until the evening without getting bored.
The floor of the bathtub is a little blackened, making it difficult to fill with hot water and get in, so it would be better if it was a little cleaner.
However, the service and view were great so I plan to use this hotel again next time.

GGuest UserIt's a little far from the city center and the bus terminal, so if you have a lot of luggage and want to go out to eat, it's a bit of a walk. It takes about 20 minutes. There are restaurants nearby, but they're limited in number. The room was reasonably spacious and clean, so there were no problems. Smoking was allowed in the room, so the smell permeated the futon and other items, which was disappointing. Other than that, breakfast was included, and there was unlimited coffee and other drinks in the lobby at any time, which was nice. The front desk staff were also very helpful.

AAntoninaNeuBudget hotel, which is located in a very convenient place. Nearby is the port, bus terminal, market, various cafes and shops. I really liked this hotel for its comfort and simplicity. For breakfast they gave me bento, which was enough for two meals. On the day of departure I took bento for the road, and this food was enough until the evening.

AAmbritaThe hostel is very clean, reception staff very friendly and professional. Location right in the centre inside the market.
Only problem the rooms are adjoining, there are draughts. I was cold all night because of the air conditioning in the room next door. Also the person in the room next to mine was snoring very loudly and despite the earplugs I could not sleep. Apart from that, if you don't have a problem with noise it is a cheap and clean place to stay for 1 or 2 nights.
