Hotels in Haidian District, Beijing

The hotel rooms are newly renovated and not cramped at all. The family room we stayed in was perfect for three people. There was a slight renovation smell in the room, but other than that, our stay was very comfortable. The surrounding area is a food paradise, so dining was very convenient. It's right next to West Station, and the subway isn't far either. There are many bus routes available. The Military Museum is just one stop away.

I booked the Shangri-La Beijing through Ctrip and stayed in the Horizon Club on the 12th floor, where I had a fantastic check-in experience at the Horizon Club Lounge. A special thank you to employee Zhou Jingyu, who provided attentive and detailed service. She made the check-in process efficient and thoroughly explained the executive lounge's offerings for each time slot: breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening happy hour. She clearly outlined the opening times and food options for each, giving me a complete understanding of the benefits. The Horizon Club Lounge offers a quiet and comfortable environment with an excellent private atmosphere. The overall service was thoughtful and meticulous. It also happened to be my birthday, and the hotel sent a birthday cake – I was very happy!

The hotel is less than 2 km from the subway station. There's a hot pot restaurant directly opposite the hotel and other snack places nearby, so the location is pretty decent. The room has a separate shower and toilet, and the toilet is a smart one with a heating function. There's also an automatic coffee machine in the room for guests to use. The disposable amenities are of good quality.

The transportation nearby is incredibly convenient, very close to the 3rd Ring Road, right next to Beijing Foreign Studies University. Recommended!

The main building's renovation is fantastic, and breakfast is consistently great. The service is very thoughtful; they even held onto something I left behind right away. This is my top choice for business trips to Beijing. Absolutely excellent, highly recommend!

Our stay during the National Day holiday was a wonderful surprise! A big thank you to Manager Justin Li for thoughtfully arranging a National Day themed room and even upgrading our room type – the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. The kind gesture of providing small national flags and other National Day souvenirs added so many lovely details and a sense of ceremony. The service was attentive and thorough, with quick responses to everything. Our entire stay was fantastic, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time. Highly recommended!

This hotel was the best experience I had during my four-day stay in Beijing. First, let me give it some praise. My husband said the windowsills were sparkling clean, so they really do clean every single spot daily. Although breakfast buffet isn't included, paying for it isn't expensive, and the variety and taste are decent. The shower drain is the fastest I've encountered in all the hotels I've stayed at, which is great! There aren't many hidden corners for dirt, so it's very clean. Even though I paid extra for this room, it was definitely worth the additional cost. The hotel's location is also excellent, in a very convenient residential area. But unlike some hotels that try to cram in as many rooms as possible, making them narrow and dark, this hotel has a large parking lot right at its entrance. Anyway, I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Beijing. Alright, that's enough praise. Now I want to complain a bit. I only booked for one night, and when I wanted to extend my stay the next day, the front desk told me that the room I paid extra for was no longer available. I'd have to switch rooms, and it would be much, much more expensive than before. So, I had no choice but to stay somewhere else the next day. I forgot to take photos of the room, so I'll just share two pictures of some interesting cars parked outside the entrance.

I must have hit the jackpot finding such an amazing hotel! First of all, the location is absolute perfection—just a 3-minute walk from the train station, or 30 seconds by bike 👍👍. Secondly, the hostel is so spotless I thought it was a star-rated hotel. My room was right next to the front desk, but I didn't hear a single sound. The walls are solid and the door is high quality, which is incredible. Having a good room to guarantee a good night's sleep when traveling is so important, and the soundproofing actually beats many luxury hotels—truly next level. Even though my single room was quite narrow and long, the ceiling is super high, around 3 meters. I doubt even the Ritz-Carlton has ceilings that high! Because of that, the room didn't feel cramped at all; in fact, it got me a little excited. It’s a completely well-ventilated and secure space—literally paradise for introverts. The small desk designed into the room is also fantastic: two little cubbies where the bottom one fits a Xiaomi backpack perfectly, the middle shelf holds the clean clothes for the next day, and the top surface is great for neatly organizing all the little travel samples and toiletries. It’s an absolute dream for anyone who loves organization. And the bedside nightlight? The thoughtfulness and attention to detail are maxed out 👍👍. Now for the bonus perks: First, the dryer is an absolute powerhouse—clothes come out completely dry and ready to wear immediately. This is such a lifesaver for traveling since you don't need to pack many clothes and can wear fresh ones every day. Second bonus point: absolute heaven for introverts. Even though it's a shared bathroom, it features a wet-dry separation layout with double doors. After showering, you can sit on a stool, dry off leisurely, and then get dressed—privacy is 100% guaranteed 👍👍. Third bonus point: the lovely receptionist is warm and attentive, and she just graduated. She’s lucky to have a good boss; anyone who puts this much care into the renovation must have a truly kind heart. I hope she learns the ropes of business from her boss and has a bright and promising future ahead! (I was originally supposed to head back to Tianjin, but the hotel was so comfy that I extended my stay for two more days just to chill and keep wandering around Beijing. The money I saved on booking a downtown hotel is enough to let me indulge in Niujie’s food scene for another whole week 😄)

A hidden gem within the hotel, offering incredible value for money. The room was quiet and didn't face the street, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the towels were all sanitized. The staff were friendly and responsive to requests. The elevator was clean and odor-free, and common areas were disinfected daily. The location is easy to find, situated within the compound of the Seven Provinces' Beijing Offices, and it's only a 2-3 minute walk to Madianqiao West bus station, making it very convenient for getting around. You can definitely feel at ease staying here.

So elegant, the Chinese courtyard style is beautiful! The room looked understated luxury in the pictures. Even though it's an older five-star hotel, the details are still excellent. The concierge staff were very polite and had a great attitude! ☺️💕 Definitely worth bringing the kids back again for summer vacation! 👍
