Hotels in Haidian District, Beijing

Staying at UrCove with a friend of mine studying at Peking University this summer, we had an excellent time at the hotel. It’s conveniently located about a 15 minute walk to the University south entrance gate, and within close proximity to public transportation and a lot of amenities. Highlights for the hotel for longer stays include very comfortable beds, a mini fridge and free snacks, in room coffee machine, free laundry in the basement, food delivery robot, and an excellent daily breakfast spread. The staff were very friendly and helpful the entire time, with some mastery of English. I highly recommend the hotel if you’re looking to stay near Peking University.

The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Zhichunlu Subway Station and just a short walk to Beihang University. The rooms are very clean, there's plenty of hot water, and the environment is quiet. The front desk staff are also very helpful. This is definitely my top choice for accommodation when visiting Haidian.

The room was clean and the hotel's overall ambiance was very comfortable. The food was delicious 😋, especially the buffet dinner and breakfast at the Coffee Garden – the selection was incredibly rich. The service was exceptionally thoughtful, truly making me feel valued!

The room was clean and the bedding was tidy. There's also a communal fridge available and a shared laundry facility which is very convenient. The subway entrance is right next door, and the front desk lady was super friendly!

The decor is high-end and tasteful, with a light color scheme and warm lighting creating a cozy and healing ambiance. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the 24-hour hot water supply is stable. The Jo Malone toiletries really enhance the experience.

Fantastic! The dormitory was very quiet and clean, and the hygiene was excellent. There was hot water for showers too. Overall, I highly recommend it. Plus, the commute is super convenient with a subway station right next door. Definitely worth recommending!

Mercure has always been a top choice for my friends and me when traveling in China. When checking in at 1 AM, the front desk agent, Yin Ruotong (Sweet), was still patient and meticulous in helping with the procedures. Liu Yanxiang's enthusiastic greetings brightened my day, and the auntie who cooks noodles in the restaurant always had a big smile. Wei Zhengquan at the front desk was also very helpful, patiently assisting me in finding my Taobao packages that were delivered to the hotel. A special shout-out goes to a young man at the front desk, wearing a black uniform, who worked the evening shift on May 19th; he tirelessly helped me track down numerous packages when I was collecting them. Thank you to all the staff for their thoughtful service, which made this stay particularly memorable.

Everything was great, clean and tidy, and the receptionist was very friendly and provided excellent service.

Review from a non-chinese tourist. Pros: location, low to almost none level of noise, cleanliness. Cons: no one can assist you in english, breakfast (if you’re not chinese or adapted to local food). It’s right next to Beijing West Railway station, so multiple malls, shops, cafes etc available. When I was checking in I was given key to a wrong room - someone else was already staying there. I understand mistakes happen but after 20 hrs of travel it’s hard. The biggest dissapointment was the breakfast: it said that it’s buffet with chinese and western food. In reality almost no food that you would normally eat for breakfast, lots of chinese food (I wouldn’t have problem with it if it wasn’t so greasy - it’s just not the best for starting your day). Overall - good for the price and location.
