Guest User1) The location is great if you’re looking for a real “Beijing experience” as it’s a boutique hotel in the Hutongs. We wandered around the Xicheng neighbourhood which we would never have done otherwise.
2) easy access via taxi and metro
3) plenty of shops and restaurants around but it’s very quiet at night
4) the staff speaks very little English but they are super nice and helpful. We communicated through translating apps and had no issues (they even helped us to book tickets)
4) Because it’s a small boutique hotel, the breakfast options are limited (especially if like us you don’t eat pork), but you always had eggs and a few sweet things so no issue but something to be aware of
Overall had a great stay!

The invoice was issued incredibly fast and all the information was perfectly accurate. The ticket issuance was prompt and the format was standard, making verification smooth. This really helped with the hassle of daily reimbursements. I'm very satisfied! The check-in experience was excellent; the staff were enthusiastic, and everything was clean and hygienic. The breakfast offered a rich variety of options.

I traveled for 7 days during the National Day holiday. I brought a lot of stuff, but thankfully the room was spacious and well-equipped, allowing plenty of room for my luggage without feeling cramped. The service was also excellent, from the front desk staff to the housekeeping ladies and the breakfast manager. The hotel paid great attention to detail; they provided charging outlets and three different charging ports. Every day, they replenished the fruit bowl in the room with fresh oranges, apples, and snacks. They also provided a small notebook where I could write down my requests daily, such as changing the sheets and duvet cover, housekeeping, changing towels, mopping the floor, and providing new slippers. They fulfilled all my requests without fail. The hotel is conveniently located near several subway stations, and there are also shared bikes available right outside the hotel. My room only included one breakfast, but the front desk staff provided us with an extra week's worth of breakfasts since there were two of us traveling. The breakfast selection was plentiful, including fruit, yogurt, pastries, watermelon, and cantaloupe. The best dish was the noodles—they were so fragrant! Every day after breakfast, we'd grab two cups of yogurt and two eggs to take with us and eat while we explored. Hehe. Overall, a huge thumbs up!

PiotrPlKrkAs another review here mentioned, walls are paper-thin. If people in an adjacent room talk, you hear it as if they talked in your room. TV playing in another room is hard to bear. I had people shouting until 1 am two rooms away and I could not sleep. Around 7 am someone was rolling something very noisy on cobblestones, and it sounded as if it was 1 meter away from my head. I contacted the staff but they didn't do anything about the screaming guests. Views are beautiful, especially at night, but nothing justifies the discomfort. Unless there are no other reservations, you won't sleep, trust me.

Anonymous UserThis is a super creative boutique hotel with a fantastic blend of Old Beijing charm and modern artistic flair. The ambiance and decor are really stylish. The location is excellent, making it easy to get to many attractions. There's a bus stop right outside and the subway station is also very close. The common areas are incredibly picturesque – you can take great photos anywhere. Plus, they have washing machines and dryers in the common area.

The hotel is in alley perpendicular to branch of the Dashilan main street (branch of another branch street).the taxi I took from Beijing South rail station dropped me at the street where it is not the most direct way to walk in (the driver pretended to miss the turn). If you are taking taxi drop the pin and meishijiekou emailing point.
Hotel itself is small. No lift. Room is just slightly bigger than the typical Tokyo style. But very nice for a solo traveller. Mind you I took the deluxe room with window facing outside. Comes with snack, apple and very helpful service desk. Room is high tech. Location is good, walk out to have food. No typical local breakfast shop nearby though. For this reason, I will choose to stay at Dongsi which is more vibrant with locals and less touting.
Overall, it is a good place to stay if it is a very quick short turnaround in Beijing.

PianweiThis hotel stay really exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Xinjiekou subway station, making it super convenient to get to Xizhimen, Shichahai, and Huguosi for shopping and sightseeing. The room was spotlessly clean, not huge but didn't feel cramped, and the smart home features were easy to use.
The zero-pressure mattress paired with the latex pillows made for an incredibly comfortable sleep – just the right firmness. My travel fatigue melted away the moment I lay down, and there was no noise when I turned over. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the hot water was constant, and all the toiletries were provided. The blackout curtains worked wonders, allowing for a peaceful rest even during the day. The front desk staff were lovely and efficient with check-in and check-out, and they were always quick to respond if I had any questions.
For the Xizhimen area, this hotel offers excellent value for money. The room was cozy, perfect for both business trips and leisure. The soundproofing was sufficient for everyday use. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Beijing.

Guest UserThe room was a bit on the small side. My biggest complaints were the laundry room and the hot water. The washing machine in the laundry room seemed like it hadn't been cleaned, and you had to buy your own detergent. For hot water, you had to insert your room card and wait a long time for it to reach 60-70 degrees. Then, it would get cold before I could even really wash anything. The water temperature was also hard to control. I'm not sure if this is typical for hotels in the area, but I've always had a high opinion of Home Inn, and this time, I was just really disappointed with the cleanliness.

Guest UserThe room isn't huge, but the heating works great, it's clean, and has all the basic amenities. The front desk service was also quite good. Transportation isn't super convenient; there's a bus stop within 300 meters, but the subway is 1.5km away. If you're not in a hurry, it's a nice walk to explore Beijing's hutongs. It's not far from Qianmen and Dashilar if you fancy a stroll, and also quite close to the Temple of Heaven, Yongdingmen, and the National Museum of Natural History. Plus, there's the Deyun Society's Tianqiao Theater nearby.
