Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel is new, very clean, and in an excellent location. The laundry service was outstanding, and the staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. However, I had one very disappointing experience. During my stay, the police visited the hotel and asked about the purpose of our visit, and we fully cooperated. Later that night, around 11:00 PM, they came back again while my children were asleep, only to ask for my phone number. This frightened my children and caused unnecessary stress. I have traveled extensively in China and had already spent several weeks in Beijing and Shanghai without experiencing anything like this, so this was very surprising and upsetting. To be fair, the hotel staff sincerely apologized and explained that this situation was beyond their control and related to the local authorities. As a thoughtful gesture, they also offered us a gift and a complimentary late check-out, which we really appreciated. Despite this unfortunate incident, the hotel itself is excellent—clean, modern, comfortable, and well-maintained. I would still recommend staying here. Thank you 💜

My overall experience at this hotel exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The lobby is clean and elegant, and the room hygiene was top-notch. The room itself was spacious and bright, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was very good. It offered great rest and excellent value for money.

The hotel is named 'Guohuai' (Pagoda Tree) because of an ancient tree in its courtyard. I was very satisfied with the room; it was quiet at night and the transportation was very convenient. Niujie (Ox Street) is nearby, and after comparing different places, I found that Yue Weizhai has the best lamb skewers, thanks to their dipping sauce. The milk skin yogurt from Ziguangyuan should ideally be bought at the airport so you can carry it directly onto the plane. However, we bought it on Niujie, and at the airport, liquids had to be checked in. It cost an extra 35 for packing and checked baggage, but thankfully, the milk skin was still intact when we retrieved our luggage.

Our family trip was an absolute success, and the hotel was definitely the highlight! I booked a king room and a standard room at this Courtyard Manxin Hotel online. On the day of check-in, I hoped the rooms could be on the same floor. Since it was peak season and the hotel was fully booked, the system assigned our two rooms quite far apart. As we were traveling with seniors and children, we explained our situation to the front desk. Manager Wang, who was on duty that day, understood our needs and actively helped coordinate. Within half an hour, he managed to get us two rooms on the same floor, which made it incredibly convenient to look after everyone. A big thank you to him! This set a great tone for our week-long Beijing trip. The hotel's location is excellent. Right outside is Gulou Dajie Station, serving Metro Lines 2 and 8, which pretty much cover all the must-see attractions. I usually prefer taking taxis, but in Beijing, I only hailed one cab, fully enjoying the convenience of the capital's subway system. Every day, after playing until sunset and returning to the hotel utterly exhausted, I was delighted to find that the hotel offered various free teas and beverages. Manager Yang from the lobby even thoughtfully packed some for us to take back to our room. Sipping on the iced tea, the Beijing summer heat instantly melted away. Manager Yang's handsome smile and warm words were especially comforting. I hope Manager Yang visits Nanjing sometime! Finally, a pleasant surprise: there's an unassuming charcoal hotpot place right outside the hotel. Their hotpot with sesame sauce was absolutely amazing, and the stir-fries were delicious too. The stir-fried pork with vinegar and wood ear mushrooms, and the stir-fried tripe with garlic were incredibly appetizing. We ate there three times in a week! Our Beijing trip was joyful and complete!

The room isn't very big, and water leaks from under the partition between the shower and the toilet, so after showering, the water flows all over the toilet area, making it impossible to use the toilet. Be careful when entering the lobby at night; if the doors are closed, push them slowly. There are no signs on the doors to indicate which ones are closed or open. There's a lack of 'push' or 'pull' signs, and I ended up bumping my head on a door when I came back that night.

The lady at the front desk who checked me in was very thoughtful. She processed everything quickly and also explained the hotel's services very sincerely. After checking out, the young man at the front desk was very patient and friendly, even helping me call a taxi. Thank you for your professional service; I'll choose to stay here again next time if I have the opportunity. The hotel's location is also excellent, with convenient transportation and easy access to taxis.

I wanted to experience a *hutong* (traditional alleyway) and chose this place based on its 5-star reviews. The location is incredibly convenient, offering a quiet escape in a bustling, prime area. The decor is unique, and they've managed to create a charming, deep courtyard within a small space – truly thoughtful design that deserves praise. Part of the hotel was still under renovation. I saw photos of a rooftop terrace in other reviews, but when I went up, there was nothing there yet. The internet surprisingly went out until late at night on the day we checked in. The reason given was ”a problem with the main line in the hutong,” which I assume was an isolated incident – perhaps just part of our hutong experience. They provide six bottles of water and two soft drinks for free in the room, and the Arctic Ocean soda was delicious, so kudos for that! However, there were no tea bags or coffee sachets. The tea was loose-leaf in a small, pretty jar, but for something you consume, I did wonder about the hygiene. Here are some suggestions: 1. Indicate which rooms have softer mattresses and which have firmer ones, offering guests a choice. Not everyone likes a soft bed, and comfort in sleep is more important than a unique or beautiful room design. 2. Since all the power outlets are flat-pin (two-prong) only, I recommend providing adapters or power strips with round-pin (two-pin) sockets. It's really inconvenient otherwise. Coming back at night and realizing you can't charge your devices – do you really expect guests to order their own adapters or power strips for same-day delivery? Beijing is an international metropolis, and people come from all over the world, so providing a few would be much more convenient.

First off, the service was excellent. When my car arrived, a gentleman from the front desk helped me with my luggage. The two ladies, employee numbers 207029 and 207079, who handled my check-in and check-out, made me feel very welcome, almost like I was coming home. The room itself was great, and the cleaning was very thorough. The only minor issues were some standing water under the sink after showering and the air conditioning being a bit noisy, likely due to older equipment. However, these didn't detract from the overall experience, and I would still consider staying here again.

Apart from the great location (literally a stone’s throw away to the nearest subway), what stood out for me was the hotel staff’s impeccable service. We were greeted with a plate of fruits in the hotel room when we arrived which is rare, comparing with other hotels that I have visited. Moreover, I was surprised and thankful that the hotel staff readily accommodated our special request to pack a simple breakfast for us as we had an itinerary which required us to leave early in the morning. The hotel’s concierge also answered all my queries and questions efficiently. The room we booked was a 3 bedder family room and I thought that the room was perfectly big and spacious. The window view was towards the hotel’s internal courtyard space, I was personally fine with this. This hotel is perfect if you wish to shop as it is linked via a skybridge to all the shopping centres in the Xidan shopping district, perfect if you would like to do some late night shopping and conveniently return to your hotel when you are tired. Some additional tips for future travellers, if you are making a Didi booking, select the nearby China Post office as the location as the hotel is not directly accessible by car, there isn’t a drive-through for the hotel. This hotel does accept and receive Taobao parcels on your behalf for those who plan to shop. As for food delivery, this hotel does not have a robot delivery service, I collected my food delivery directly from the driver near the hotel lobby, not sure if the hotel can deliver your food deliveries to your door as I did not check with the hotel. Finally for amenities, there is a self service laundry room on the 10th floor but it is not marked from the outside. It sits along the guest rooms on level 10 and is opposite room 1009(if i remember correctly)and there are only 2 washing machines with no dryers. It closes at certain hours to avoid creating inconvenience to nearby guests so you would have to check with the concierge regarding the operating hours. To use the machine, you would have to scan a QR code on the machine with Alipay or Weixin and there is a minimal fee; less than a dollar. The breakfast buffet on the 8th floor had an acceptable variety and was affordable. For hotel guests the breakfast buffet price was subsidised at 50yuan per person, payable on the spot outside the restaurant, even though on their signboard it states that the price is 98 yuan. I managed to clarify with the concierge that the 98yuan price only applies to non-hotel guests. Overall Xixi Youyi Hotel offers great value for money with perfect service and location. Would highly recommend!

1) The location is great if you’re looking for a real “Beijing experience” as it’s a boutique hotel in the Hutongs. We wandered around the Xicheng neighbourhood which we would never have done otherwise. 2) easy access via taxi and metro 3) plenty of shops and restaurants around but it’s very quiet at night 4) the staff speaks very little English but they are super nice and helpful. We communicated through translating apps and had no issues (they even helped us to book tickets) 4) Because it’s a small boutique hotel, the breakfast options are limited (especially if like us you don’t eat pork), but you always had eggs and a few sweet things so no issue but something to be aware of Overall had a great stay!

The invoice was issued incredibly fast and all the information was perfectly accurate. The ticket issuance was prompt and the format was standard, making verification smooth. This really helped with the hassle of daily reimbursements. I'm very satisfied! The check-in experience was excellent; the staff were enthusiastic, and everything was clean and hygienic. The breakfast offered a rich variety of options.

I traveled for 7 days during the National Day holiday. I brought a lot of stuff, but thankfully the room was spacious and well-equipped, allowing plenty of room for my luggage without feeling cramped. The service was also excellent, from the front desk staff to the housekeeping ladies and the breakfast manager. The hotel paid great attention to detail; they provided charging outlets and three different charging ports. Every day, they replenished the fruit bowl in the room with fresh oranges, apples, and snacks. They also provided a small notebook where I could write down my requests daily, such as changing the sheets and duvet cover, housekeeping, changing towels, mopping the floor, and providing new slippers. They fulfilled all my requests without fail. The hotel is conveniently located near several subway stations, and there are also shared bikes available right outside the hotel. My room only included one breakfast, but the front desk staff provided us with an extra week's worth of breakfasts since there were two of us traveling. The breakfast selection was plentiful, including fruit, yogurt, pastries, watermelon, and cantaloupe. The best dish was the noodles—they were so fragrant! Every day after breakfast, we'd grab two cups of yogurt and two eggs to take with us and eat while we explored. Hehe. Overall, a huge thumbs up!

As another review here mentioned, walls are paper-thin. If people in an adjacent room talk, you hear it as if they talked in your room. TV playing in another room is hard to bear. I had people shouting until 1 am two rooms away and I could not sleep. Around 7 am someone was rolling something very noisy on cobblestones, and it sounded as if it was 1 meter away from my head. I contacted the staff but they didn't do anything about the screaming guests. Views are beautiful, especially at night, but nothing justifies the discomfort. Unless there are no other reservations, you won't sleep, trust me.

This is a super creative boutique hotel with a fantastic blend of Old Beijing charm and modern artistic flair. The ambiance and decor are really stylish. The location is excellent, making it easy to get to many attractions. There's a bus stop right outside and the subway station is also very close. The common areas are incredibly picturesque – you can take great photos anywhere. Plus, they have washing machines and dryers in the common area.

The hotel is in alley perpendicular to branch of the Dashilan main street (branch of another branch street).the taxi I took from Beijing South rail station dropped me at the street where it is not the most direct way to walk in (the driver pretended to miss the turn). If you are taking taxi drop the pin and meishijiekou emailing point. Hotel itself is small. No lift. Room is just slightly bigger than the typical Tokyo style. But very nice for a solo traveller. Mind you I took the deluxe room with window facing outside. Comes with snack, apple and very helpful service desk. Room is high tech. Location is good, walk out to have food. No typical local breakfast shop nearby though. For this reason, I will choose to stay at Dongsi which is more vibrant with locals and less touting. Overall, it is a good place to stay if it is a very quick short turnaround in Beijing.

This hotel stay really exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Xinjiekou subway station, making it super convenient to get to Xizhimen, Shichahai, and Huguosi for shopping and sightseeing. The room was spotlessly clean, not huge but didn't feel cramped, and the smart home features were easy to use. The zero-pressure mattress paired with the latex pillows made for an incredibly comfortable sleep – just the right firmness. My travel fatigue melted away the moment I lay down, and there was no noise when I turned over. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the hot water was constant, and all the toiletries were provided. The blackout curtains worked wonders, allowing for a peaceful rest even during the day. The front desk staff were lovely and efficient with check-in and check-out, and they were always quick to respond if I had any questions. For the Xizhimen area, this hotel offers excellent value for money. The room was cozy, perfect for both business trips and leisure. The soundproofing was sufficient for everyday use. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Beijing.

The room was a bit on the small side. My biggest complaints were the laundry room and the hot water. The washing machine in the laundry room seemed like it hadn't been cleaned, and you had to buy your own detergent. For hot water, you had to insert your room card and wait a long time for it to reach 60-70 degrees. Then, it would get cold before I could even really wash anything. The water temperature was also hard to control. I'm not sure if this is typical for hotels in the area, but I've always had a high opinion of Home Inn, and this time, I was just really disappointed with the cleanliness.

The room isn't huge, but the heating works great, it's clean, and has all the basic amenities. The front desk service was also quite good. Transportation isn't super convenient; there's a bus stop within 300 meters, but the subway is 1.5km away. If you're not in a hurry, it's a nice walk to explore Beijing's hutongs. It's not far from Qianmen and Dashilar if you fancy a stroll, and also quite close to the Temple of Heaven, Yongdingmen, and the National Museum of Natural History. Plus, there's the Deyun Society's Tianqiao Theater nearby.

Location is great! Nice to walk even at night, metro station is just around 7 minutes away which was great! Overall would recommend!
