Hotels in Yanqing District, Beijing

The Club Med resort is quite expansive, divided into a main building (housing the front desk, guest rooms, restaurants, gym, meeting rooms, etc.) and an annex building (primarily for recreational facilities, including archery, rock climbing, flying trapeze, bars, a water park, and a ball pit). The two buildings are conveniently connected by a skywalk. A big thank you to our butler, Suna, who provided meticulous reminders throughout our stay (dining times, themed activity schedules, etc.) and also helped coordinate issues like replenishing bottled water and arranging a late check-out. We really appreciate Suna! **Cleanliness:** The room was clean, and housekeeping service was prompt. **Dining:** The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes and was quickly refilled. **Activities:** There were numerous activities available during our stay, such as bubble parties, large-scale song and dance shows, childcare services, and a water park. The children had a fantastic time. **Outdoor:** There are basketball courts, badminton courts, and a pine cone park. Guests can also enjoy hiking or cycling on their own.

Our stay exceeded expectations. The room was bright and free of any unpleasant smells. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices and was very clean and hygienic. The hotel's location is excellent for getting around, with a supermarket right across the street. The service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. It's truly a great choice for accommodation when traveling. We'll definitely choose Zengfu Hotel again whenever we visit Yanqing, and I've already recommended it to friends.

The hotel boasts an elegant environment, making you feel like you have an entire mountain to yourself. Built into the hillside, the two-bedroom suite we booked this time was located mid-mountain. The hotel community has complete facilities, and the main entrance is fenced off with a gate, so the security is reassuring and makes you feel very safe. The shuttle service uses Voyah commercial vans, which are super comfortable! The staff helped with our luggage, which was very thoughtful and attentive. It's about 10 kilometers from Badaling Great Wall, and Shuiguan Great Wall is nearby and not crowded. Juyongguan Great Wall is also conveniently located on the way to Beijing South Station, so we stopped by, making our trip even more rich and fulfilling.

Upon entering the room, I found it looked nothing like the pictures. To be honest, the front desk attendant's attitude when I first checked in wasn't great. Typically, when I travel with my kids, I almost always stay at hotels under the Huazhu Group (like Hanting, Ji Hotel, or Orange Hotel), and they are usually very welcoming, often upgrading our room for free or offering complimentary breakfast. But at this Orange Hotel, the initial front desk person was quite dismissive. When I asked if breakfast was free, they said no. I then asked if there were any good breakfast spots nearby, and they just told me there was a baozi place around the corner. I went upstairs with my child, and when I saw the room, wow, it was tiny, barely enough space to move! I got increasingly annoyed and went back to the front desk, saying I wanted to check out because the room didn't match the pictures at all. Even though I don't use hotel towels, they shouldn't be so neglectful – the ones there were threadbare, dirty, and blackish. The curtains were also very dirty. Then, another staff member named Xiaoxue came, and she was very helpful. She got me cleaner, newer towels and bath towels, and was incredibly polite, telling me to ask for her if I needed anything. Honestly, everything else aside, good service is the most important thing. I'm on vacation to be happy, not to be annoyed.

This is our third year coming to Gaoshan Ski Resort, and we stayed multiple times last year. This year, we booked a continuous stay. The front desk service is genuinely excellent. We happened to encounter a price adjustment during our stay, which led to more questions on our end. Each time we bothered the front desk, they were incredibly patient and amiable in resolving our issues. They were also very efficient and exceeded our expectations. Last year, the parking lot security guard made the best impression on me, and I was surprised to see him again this year. We even chatted with the shuttle bus driver. This year truly exceeded all expectations, and we'll definitely be back next winter. The only minor drawback was the inconsistent translation for the 'Xueyan Hall' (Snow Swallow Hall). Some places used Pinyin, others English, one spot even had 'Xueyan Hall' written in Chinese, and there was an English spelling error with a space in the middle of a word. I hope this can be corrected. Given that it represents the country's image, such basic mistakes should really be fixed. Heituo Mountain after a snowfall is absolutely stunning. The 'Heituo Ink Painting' lives up to its reputation; it's truly a dreamlike sight.

Smart Amenities and Attentive Service “Highly recommend this hotel for its smart experience and detailed service! The room is equipped with a smart control system, including electric curtains, a smart voice assistant, and a fresh air system – full of tech. The most pleasant surprise was the robot delivery for takeout directly to the room door, which was both convenient and hygienic. The hotel also provides a free laundry room, so you can wash and dry clothes anytime while traveling, which is super practical. The front desk offers free tea and snacks 24/7 and is always ready to help. These thoughtful little details really add to the experience. This is definitely a hidden gem in Yanqing; I'll definitely stay here again next time!”

After booking the hotel, I saw a lot of negative reviews, which made me quite nervous. However, I found it to be pretty good in reality. The environment is beautiful and the air is pleasant, perfect for a relaxing 'lie-flat' vacation, so I ended up staying for three nights. As a five-star hotel, the hardware facilities, room layout, and spatial design are all top-notch. The accompanying gym and pool are also excellent. The gym has water and towels, and a good range of equipment, so I'd give it a five-star rating. The main complaint about breakfast seems to be the small restaurant, but I personally felt the food variety met expectations. The live cooking stations for noodles and wontons were quite tasty, and there were also specialty 'huoshao'. The omelet chef was very friendly, and there were several coffee machines, both capsule and regular. The hot dishes were indeed limited, only three or four, which is a clear drawback. Also, the small cakes common in other five-star hotels were missing. I'd give it a four-star rating, but it's certainly not bad. The Chinese restaurant, however, offers poor value for money. It's expensive with limited variety, many dishes didn't inspire me to order, and the taste was just average. Overall, the dining is a relative weakness. The Jing A beer at the lobby bar wasn't expensive, though. There are many takeaway options, but the robot delivery was a bit slow. The housekeeping staff were very diligent, providing plenty of water and amenities. I was just a little surprised that after excitedly bringing my own tea, there were no tea sets. It was also a bit inconvenient that there were no toiletries by the bathtub. The front desk staff were also fine. The World Horticultural Exposition is right outside, and the complimentary hot spring tickets made it an excellent value. I hope they continue to operate well, and I would stay here again if I have the chance. Oh, and the entrance and exit to the underground parking lot are a bit small, so be careful when passing other cars.

My stay here was excellent! The room was clean and tidy, and the environment was quiet and comfortable. A special shout-out to Lily from the front desk, who answered calls with a gentle demeanor and responded very quickly. She was patient and thorough in helping me with all my inquiries. The overall service was warm and thoughtful. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time. Highly recommended!

The hotel is centrally located, very close to Longqing Gorge and Yudushan Mountain. The rooms are spacious and bright, clean and hygienic. The king room has a bathtub, and the hot water works great. The bedding is very comfortable, clean, and tidy. The air conditioning is powerful, but even on the lowest setting at night, the air blows directly onto your head, making it feel breezy, and it can get a bit cold when sleeping with the AC on. The showerhead in the shower provides very hot water, but the water pressure is a bit low; it's time to replace the showerhead. Wanda Plaza is only a one-minute walk away, and there's a fantastic lamb spine hot pot restaurant nearby – definitely worth checking out!

The hotel is near a commercial street with supermarkets, restaurants, and Mixue Ice Cream. The rooms face the street and become quiet after dinner. The rooms are quite large and spacious. Parking is limited during the day in both the parking lot in front and on the street; you can only park near the public restroom across the street.
