Mercure Hotels in Beijing

The hotel facilities are excellent, and the staff are incredibly attentive and welcoming. As a new hotel, the environment is fantastic, located right within the National Surveying and Mapping Institute, making it quiet and safe, yet convenient for getting around. The staff even gave us a free room upgrade. The breakfast restaurant is small but offers everything you need, and with a garden view from the floor-to-ceiling windows, breakfast time was very pleasant. Parking is also free, making it a great choice for both families and business travelers! 👍

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely recommended! This stay exceeded my expectations! The hotel boasts an elegant French-light luxury style, with a clean and upscale environment. Its location is unbeatable, close to Panjiayuan Antique Market and near a subway station. The buffet breakfast offers a rich variety, catering to both Chinese and Western tastes, with delicious freshly baked bread and freshly cooked noodles. It also provides a free gym and self-service laundry room, which is incredibly convenient for business trips and travel. The front desk staff were warm and courteous, check-in was efficient, and they responded to requests promptly. Excellent value for money!

A good, clean hotel with a decent breakfast selection – we definitely didn't go hungry. The room was spacious and quiet. There's a small garden on the property with peacocks, which is nice to look at while waiting for a taxi. On the downside, for some reason, guests are allowed to smoke on our floor. I reported it once, but the next day, people from the same room were smoking in the hallway again and leaving cigarette butts right on the floor outside their door. In the evenings, kids were running around very loudly until about midnight.

My overall experience was fantastic! The hotel is located near the Second Ring Road, making it quite close to the main attractions. What's more, the room has a bathtub, which was an absolute lifesaver after a long day of exploring. Soaking in the tub really helped me recharge and felt incredibly relaxing. The bed and pillows were super soft and comfortable too. But the absolute best part was the excellent service, especially from the front desk lady. She was incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home!

The hotel's location is convenient, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. It's not far from CCTV Tower, China World Trade Center, Sanlitun, and even Pop Mart Land, making it easy to get around by subway or taxi. The rooms are quiet, and the delivery robot brings food right to your door. The staff are also incredibly friendly and polite; they always greet you when you see them. They were very patient and helpful when we wanted to view the room beforehand, and there's always someone at the lobby entrance to help open the door. All in all, it exceeded my expectations! Thumbs up!

It's rare to find a hotel with such great value for money near Beijing's Guomao area. I'd tried so many other hotels before, and they were all quite disappointing! The breakfast was also very generous. Because of my work, the staff even gave me a disposable container and told me to take whatever I wanted, which was so down-to-earth 🎉. After checking out, the front desk lady even gave me a small gift, how thoughtful 💗! Next time I'm in town, I'm definitely staying at Mercure again! 🥳🥳🥳

No issues with the room, no issues with the service whatsoever. Especially the cleaning lady on the 5th floor, she was so kind! Breakfast was perfect; even at 10:30 AM, the staff hadn't cleared the food or rushed anyone. It's a 12-minute taxi ride to Universal Studios, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. We tried both Huizhou Town (徽菜徽州小镇) and Shen Wansan (沈万三) right outside the hotel – expensive but absolutely delicious. There's also a BBQ night market and a hot spring. Free parking for those driving. The only minor drawback was the noise from the garbage truck, which seemed to collect around 5 AM, making a 'doo-doo-doo' sound that woke me up and made it hard to get back to sleep. The highlight was definitely getting a Universal Express Pass – it was fantastic! We arrived at 11 AM and perfectly timed it for both the WaterWorld show and the parade without any waiting. When you're on vacation, it's about spending money and enjoying yourself first and foremost. We also had two twin rooms for two nights, and they were excellent. Highly recommended!

On my first day, I booked a deluxe king room, and as soon as I entered, I noticed an unpleasant odor. I called housekeeping, and they said they didn't know where the smell was coming from. So, I asked them to find someone in charge to deal with it. I overheard the housekeeper whispering to a colleague in the hallway, saying they couldn't smell anything at all. After escalating it through various levels, Manager Tingting eventually stepped in to resolve the issue. She didn't shirk responsibility and handled it very quickly, providing a new room and offering appropriate apologies and compensation. I was very satisfied with this solution. The room itself was generally okay, but there were a few details that I wasn't happy with: the water pressure from the faucet was excellent, which is a plus, but the faucet's mounting bracket was unstable, and I'm not sure if this is a widespread issue. When I used the in-room phone to call the front desk, the call quality was extremely poor; nearly half of the conversation had to be guessed, and it wasn't as clear as a traditional landline. If this is a common problem, I suggest providing a direct front desk landline number. Also, I wonder if it's due to fatigue, but sometimes the attitude and tone of individual front desk staff were quite poor. As someone who also works in the service industry, I can understand this to some extent. I'm giving a positive review this time solely because of Manager Tingting's swift and excellent handling of the situation. Regarding other facilities and staff training, I feel they haven't met the expected standards. As a Mercure hotel that only opened in 2026, it's understandable that the system isn't fully mature yet, but the overall guest experience definitely has room for improvement.

I stayed at this designated hotel for my daughter's Singapore youth dance camp, organized by the Beijing Dance Academy. It's the closest hotel to the academy, just a few minutes' walk away. Ordering takeout was super convenient; a robot delivered it right to our room door. My daughter absolutely loved the robot delivery! She made me order takeout multiple times a day just so she could play with it, haha.

We really liked the hotel, it was spotlessly clean, the service was excellent, there was a good free gym ☺️ and a great buffet. We'll be back! Thanks to the hotel staff, you're amazing.
