CcarrascooHonestly, staying at this hotel for my first time in Beijing truly broadened my horizons and changed my perception of the city.
My wife, our child, and I came to Beijing for the May Day holiday. She said since we're here, we might as well splurge and experience a traditional Beijing courtyard.
It truly delivered a top-tier luxury experience. The room layout was excellent, the courtyard views were charming, the service was impeccable, and the location was superb with an abundance of food delivery options. Breakfast was all made-to-order. The only thing we missed out on was the bar and hotel activities, but there's always next time.
I do have two minor points of discomfort to share, just for reference:
1. When our taxi pulled up to the hotel entrance, a staff member immediately asked me what I was doing there. I was a bit taken aback at first, then explained I was checking in. I'm not blaming him; perhaps I was dressed too casually, but it did feel a little off-putting.
2. On our last day, breakfast felt less crowded, but the food service was incredibly slow. We went at 10 AM, thinking half an hour would be plenty for breakfast, especially since the day before our food arrived in about 15 minutes. This time, we waited half an hour just for the dishes to arrive.
Overall, it was absolutely wonderful, and I'd definitely go back if I get the chance. It left a lasting impression, and thinking about it now still brings back such lovely memories, especially sitting in the courtyard at night, listening to music and watching the stars 💫

XXiaoqiyaokaixinyaThis time, I stayed at a hidden gem of a hotel near Universal Studios! You can see the Universal cityscape and even Harry Potter's castle right from the room 🏰, which my kids absolutely loved – they kept snapping photos themselves.
The hotel is conveniently located right next to Wangfujing Bay, with direct access to the mall from the third floor, making dining and shopping incredibly easy!
During the peak summer season, compared to the Universal Studios Hotel, this place offers fantastic value for money. The stay experience was top-notch. Our butler was exceptionally thoughtful; since it was my child's birthday, they upgraded our room, sent a cake, decorated for the birthday, and even provided 'Little Prince' toiletries for kids.
The hotel is very new, so the room facilities are all fresh and clean. It's also larger than the standard rooms at the Universal Studios Hotel, and the soundproofing is quite good. Ordering takeout was also very convenient!
A special thank you to Joanna Jessica from Guest Relations. She communicated very thoughtfully even before our check-in and was always prompt in her replies after we arrived, making our stay even more comfortable. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Universal.

GGuest UserThis hotel, located right next to the CBD, is incredibly grand, luxurious, and upscale. The facilities are brand new, everything is spotless, the environment is beautiful, and the service is absolutely fantastic. The front desk staff, especially, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They even gave us a thoughtful little gift for the Dragon Boat Festival!

KKuailechuxing339The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, surrounded by luxury shops, making it very convenient to get around.
The Mandarin Oriental's attention to detail is superb. The understated luxury and 'old money' vibe are precisely my style. The vanity room is spacious, and they prepared welcome fruits and snacks, a bottle of red wine, and even pear soup, along with a beautifully written welcome letter. It truly made me feel right at home.
Breakfast is a mix of buffet and à la carte, with fresh, organic ingredients and amazing flavors. I even had breakfast alongside the Russian ambassador at the next table! Sipping a coffee with a Forbidden City latte art design on the large terrace overlooking the Forbidden City, I truly experienced a taste of royal life. So happy! 😃

AAnonymous UserThe InterContinental Hotel boasts excellent smart amenities and comfortable bedding that truly helps to alleviate travel fatigue from business trips. The front desk staff, especially Aria and Dale from Guest Relations, are highly efficient with check-ins and check-outs, and the concierge is very helpful with travel arrangements. The executive lounge is perfect for small meetings, and the breakfast offers a good selection of drinks and light meals. The gym and pool are great for unwinding between work commitments. The service is professional and discreet, never intrusive, and the facilities are well-maintained. It's a consistently top choice for business travelers, highly recommended.

KKaixinguofeimeiI booked this hotel for my Mexican clients who were traveling in China. They absolutely loved it and said it's a hotel they'd choose again if they came back to China. They specifically mentioned that the front desk staff were very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. They even said they'd be back!
GGuest UserI first stayed at Huaqiao Hotel many years ago to watch a play at Beijing People's Art Theatre. My impression back then was excellent, and I always thought I'd stay here whenever I visited Beijing again. Later, for a while, I couldn't book a room and found out it was undergoing renovations. This time, I stayed to see an exhibition at the art museum, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel is even better after the renovation! The facilities have been upgraded, and the breakfast is as plentiful as ever. A very satisfying stay!

GGuest UserMy kids absolutely loved the room.
I'm conflicted about the service score. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming, easily a 5/5. The cleaning staff were also very friendly.
However, I'm giving a 2-star rating because there's no dedicated drop-off/pick-up area at the entrance; you have to stop on the street. Also, it seems the hotel cuts costs by not having doormen. When I arrived, it was drizzling, and I had several suitcases and two kids. I had to drag everything into the lobby and then up to the room myself, with no help whatsoever. For a hotel costing over 2,000 RMB a night – I spent over 10,000 RMB – I didn't receive even the most basic service.
Comparison truly highlights the shortcomings. The day before, after arriving in Beijing late at night, I decided to stay at the airport Hilton for one night, which cost just over 900 RMB. There was a free shuttle bus at the airport entrance, and the driver immediately got out to help load my luggage onto the bus. From the moment I got off the shuttle, there were staff greeting me and helping with my bags, escorting me into the lobby and offering all sorts of assistance, even delivering my luggage directly to the room.

RRudyMadrigalI’m truly grateful for this specific service apartment—it has been absolutely ideal for my stay in Beijing. It fits my needs perfectly, and I feel safe and at ease staying here.
Due to my severe allergies, I could not stay in a standard hotel. Outside food holds too many hidden risks, filled with unknown plants and herbs that trigger my reactions. Cooking for myself is the only way I can stay healthy.
I recently tried breakfast here and accidentally ate Chinese cured bacon, mistaking it for regular bacon. It was smoked with local vegetation I’m allergic to, which immediately caused an allergic response.
This experience showed me how vital this service apartment truly is. Having a full kitchen lets me control every ingredient I eat. In an unfamiliar city where so many foods carry hidden allergens, this apartment gives me the safety and stability I desperately need.
GGuest UserThe location is pretty good, near the financial district. However, this is the first time I've encountered a hotel of this caliber where the mini-bar had no drinks. I was quite shocked when I felt unwell in the middle of the night and wanted a carbonated drink but couldn't find any 😱. I called the hotel (using the number linked directly on Trip.com) from outside because of an issue, and they said it was the main switchboard and they needed to transfer me to the front desk. They were all busy, so they asked me to leave my number and said they'd get back to me later. But I never heard back. These two points really don't match the service level expected of a five-star hotel!
