Perfect
__M1363120****Really enjoyed my staycation at the Mandarin Hutong with my favorite person. We booked the hotel's basic room type, and the hotel generously offered a complimentary two-level upgrade at check-in. During our stay, they also provided tea and bottled water for brewing it. The room itself already came with a wide selection of complimentary soft drinks and a bottle of white wine. Sticking to the principle of not wasting anything, haha, and with a local friend joining us for a game of 'Guandan' (a Chinese card game) in the room, we made sure to fully enjoy all the beverages, trying not to let anything go to waste! 😁
The only minor point of criticism was one of the Mandarin staff members; it seemed like her knowledge of the hotel's room types was less than mine, who just browses forums, which was a bit awkward. 😅
Overall, it was very much worth it. I look forward to coming back here for a second visit with her in a different season in the future.

BBBROSEThis was our first family trip to Beijing, and we stayed at the Wanda Vista Hotel for two days 14,15 of Jan. The hotel has two entrances, which can be a little confusing at first. This may be due to the nearby construction, but it was still easy to find our way around.
The location of the hotel is excellent, as it is very close to the SKP shopping mall. We enjoyed walking around the area and admiring the surrounding skyscrapers.
The hotel room was very clean; however, the sound insulation could be improved. At checkout 16/Jan, we spoke with Miss Young at the reception. She listened carefully to our feedback and made us feel valued and respected. Her professional and thoughtful service left us with a very pleasant impression and gave our holiday a happy ending.

2. **Spacious and Homely**: The rooms are incredibly large! With a living room plus a separate dining area, it's never crowded for a family. You can spread out your luggage without any hassle, offering a much warmer 'home-like' feel than traditional hotels.
3. **Compact yet Quality Gym**: The gym downstairs is exclusively equipped with Technogym machines. As a brand enthusiast, I felt very reassured, and it's perfectly adequate for daily workouts.
4. **Attentive Service**: The overall atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. The front desk was responsive, and the check-out process was very smooth.
⚠️ **Areas for Improvement**
1. **Facility Maintenance Needs Attention**: Some facilities are slightly dated, and a few rooms had flickering lights due to poor contact. Regular inspection and maintenance are recommended to enhance the sense of safety for guests.
2. **Inconsistent Mini-bar & Welcome Fruit Replenishment**: The mini-bar wasn't restocked daily, and welcome fruit was only provided on the first day. As the length of stay wasn't certain, I had to place separate orders for drinks and fruit during my 3-night stay, which should have been automatically replenished. This was a minor inconvenience.
💬 **Summary**
Despite minor flaws, its excellent location, spaciousness, and home-like comfort completely outweigh any small imperfections. It's especially suitable for families traveling or guests needing a 'temporary home'. I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next trip to Beijing! Looking forward to an even more perfect experience after facility upgrades!

CChaojiwuhuaguoThis hotel, recommended by a blogger, is located right above Dengshikou Station on Metro Line 5. The lobby is very grand, and there were still some Christmas decorations up. The room was quite spacious, with a bathtub, and a single armchair next to the twin beds. The furniture was a dark tone, probably a bit old-fashioned. The room's AC couldn't be set to cool in winter; you could only set the fan to the lowest setting. Coming into the room from outside, it was really hot, which wasn't very comfortable. Everything else was perfectly fine. It's super convenient for visiting the Forbidden City, going to shopping malls, visiting Cai Yuanpei's former residence, and getting to the airport.

GGuest UserThe location is just fantastic, 4 malls within walking distance. The food choices around are great. The best is it is near the Huawei Building where the famous 四季民福 is. This outlet has less queue than others. Service is also great. Got a little injury and the housekeeping team was relentless in helping to get plasters and medication. Got a little gift from them when I left. Really great experience.

The room's cleanliness was exceptional; every nook and cranny was spotless, and the bedding was clean and soft – a truly comfortable stay. The service was incredibly warm and thoughtful. Upon check-in, I was offered warm water, and as soon as I entered the room, hot pear juice and fruit were delivered. The hotel facilities are comprehensive and practical, the mattress firmness was just right, and the toiletries were high-quality. What was most thoughtful was that Rose called ahead of time to confirm my needs before check-in. The entire experience was seamless and flawless. Mika and Yolanda were always on hand, responding instantly to any questions. When I accidentally left an item behind, Terry contacted me immediately and stored it safely. Check-out was efficient and hassle-free, with no waiting time at all! I've already recommended this place to everyone I know, and I'll definitely choose it again on my next visit!

MM303531****This hotel is great for a weekend getaway with kids. Juyongguan Great Wall and Shuiguan Great Wall are nearby, with Shuiguan Great Wall being closer and less crowded, though a bit challenging to climb. The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a pleasant environment with individual villas dotted up the hillside. Our room was quite far, so we needed to drive to the lobby and restaurant.
The hotel also offers many family-friendly activities. On our second morning, we participated in a valley hike, which was essentially a mountain climb – it requires some stamina.
There were also quite a few downsides. Given how spread out the rooms are and how far they are from the lobby, one would expect butler service, but there was none. Moreover, it was very difficult to get through to the front desk from the room phone. For a self-proclaimed 'family-friendly hotel,' there weren't even children's slippers in the room. After finally getting through on the phone, it took an hour for them to be delivered. Why weren't they provided directly at check-in when they saw we had a child?
The room itself was fairly large, but the bathroom lacked air conditioning/heating, and the shower was open-concept. This design might be fine in Sanya, but in Yanqing, showering at night was absolutely freezing. There was also water pooling, and when staff came to check, they said it was because the floor drain was too high, and nothing could be done, which was a bit frustrating.
We had two meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was good, albeit a bit pricey. We also ate at a farmhouse restaurant down the mountain where the iron pot stewed fish was delicious – I forgot its name, but it had “Tell Old Mo I want to eat fish” written on the wall.
Despite the downsides, it's still a good place for a weekend with kids. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a children's splash pool, which were closed due to the cold weather. We'll definitely bring the kids back in the summer.

From my experience, the hotel’s location on Xiaoyun Road in Chaoyang District is one of its key strengths. Being close to several embassies, commercial offices, and popular areas such as Sanlitun and Solana made getting around relatively convenient. While it is not in the immediate city-center tourist zone, I found transport straightforward, with taxis readily available and metro access within walking distance. This location worked especially well for business-related commitments and appointments.

The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering a calm and private environment after a busy day. The bed was particularly comfortable, and I appreciated the well-thought-out lighting and overall room layout. Amenities such as reliable Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a minibar added to the sense of convenience.
That said, I did notice that some elements of the room décor and technology felt slightly dated. While everything functioned well, a refresh in certain areas would further elevate the overall experience. Nonetheless, the room met my expectations for comfort and cleanliness.

The hotel offers a good range of on-site dining options, and I found the breakfast buffet to be varied and well-organized. The café and lounge areas provide comfortable spaces for informal meetings or relaxing in the evening.
I also made use of the fitness and leisure facilities, including the gym and swimming pool, which were well maintained and easy to access. In addition, the hotel’s extensive meeting and event spaces clearly make it well suited for conferences, corporate functions, and formal gatherings.

Service throughout my stay was professional and courteous. Staff at reception and guest services were attentive and helpful, particularly during check-in and with general inquiries. The deluxe view room, facing due east and located on floors 25 and above, is part of the executive level, offering panoramic views of the East Third Ring Road. In the mornings, you can gaze at the 'fog city' (referring to Beijing's occasional haze), and at night, admire the iconic illuminated landmarks. The nearby multi-story PwC building, lit 24/7, evoked many similar memories for me. The pool facilities were also excellent – a truly worthwhile experience!
