Perfect
GGuest UserStaying in Mandarin Oriental Qianmen was truly amazing. The whole team plan well to implement exceptional customer service and share the beauty of their property.
I'd like to particularly mention some of your staffs ”Marcus” who cared so much about us from the beginning to the end, ”Eathen” the butler who was very professional during the room tour. It was our 2-year anniversary trip and they prepared our room very nicely. Next morning, we had a really joyful breakfast time with ”Wujoon Lee” and the chef ”Ping” Each menu of breakfast was top-notch. Every ingredient was very fresh, high quality, and full of authentic flavors(The Olive oil and Balsamic🫶). We loved Chef Ping's delightful energy and spirit!
They were so friendly, and we even took a walk together with Wujoon after breakfast. He showed us other restaurants and beautiful ballrooms and shared many interesting stories regarding the property. It was a very pleasant conversation.
I'd also like to mention one bell boy staff(sorry, couldn't pick his name up.) who came to pick up our luggage! We needed more time for packing, so he had to wait for another 10 minutes outside and took our luggage. I was supposed to meet him at the lobby because we wanted to take some more last-minute photos of our beautiful room before we leave. It was raining. After another 10-15mins, we went out and were surprised that he was waiting for us in front of our door without telling us. He just said it was raining quite heavily, so he thought it was better we take the buggy to go to the lobby. He didn't tell us because he didn't want to push us at all and make us hurry. He was very thoughtful, and I was very touched.
When we reached lobby, many staffs waiting for us to say good bye, and I was told that the hotel car was prepared for my next destination.(Bvlgari hotel) I was surprised because I was supposed to grab the cab. Marcus gently offered me to take the host car for my convenience with this kind of weather.
I really don't know what to say, and I felt like the Mandarin Oriental Qianmen treated me like their family. It was definitely beyond my expectations. All the staff have been very helpful, professional, and attentive.
During my way to Bvlgari Hotel, I found out that the driver doesn't use the navigation. I asked him, ”Do you know where we are going?” He said he knows all the locations of every 5 stars and higher grade hotels. What a gentle and professional driver!
There are always some reasons to come back! For me, the reason to come back to this property is definitely people and the breakfast, lol. The personnel of this property are absolutely the assets!
The quality of service delivered by them during my Beijing trip has convinced me that I can always rely on this hotel for the home-away-from-home feeling. See you again!

MM1849****We booked a family room, which had an escape room game. We played it with the kids and even got small gifts. However, these rooms need better cleaning attention – the final treasure box wasn't locked.
The kids absolutely loved the heated pool on the fifth floor. It was around 29°C and they happily played for an hour. It wasn't crowded, and the service was excellent. Right next to it is a well-equipped gym.
Breakfast on the sixth floor was plentiful, and they even had Eggs Benedict!
The tent bed in the family room was a big hit with the kids, but I have a few suggestions.
First, for children around three who love to jump on the bed, the swing needs a warning. It should be hooked aside when not in use; my child actually bumped their face on it.
Second, although the window is sealed and cannot be opened, it's quite thin. The window side gets very cold, so kids playing in the tent might catch a cold. It's impossible to sleep there at night, which meant my child couldn't use it, and cried before bedtime. Turning on the air conditioning didn't help as the airflow reaching that side was cold, and even the left side of the main bed felt chilly. I suggest adding a thermal screen for nighttime use.
Third, the windowsill next to the small tent needs anti-collision padding. Since it's a kids' room, many areas should have anti-collision padding, and this spot, in particular, requires safety attention.
Regarding parking, please note that only the ground-level parking outside the hotel's main entrance is for guests; the underground parking is not. It would be even better if the hotel could have some of its own underground parking spaces.
I think at check-in, guests could be given a basic introduction and a list of important notes (a butler's WeChat would be even more convenient, with various templates: one for families covering play and safety, another for business guests detailing nearby attractions, business centers, and food delivery options). Although the front desk staff explains everything during check-in, most people wouldn't object to this kind of helpful reminder.

2. **Spacious and Homely**: The rooms are incredibly large! With a living room plus a separate dining area, it's never crowded for a family. You can spread out your luggage without any hassle, offering a much warmer 'home-like' feel than traditional hotels.
3. **Compact yet Quality Gym**: The gym downstairs is exclusively equipped with Technogym machines. As a brand enthusiast, I felt very reassured, and it's perfectly adequate for daily workouts.
4. **Attentive Service**: The overall atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. The front desk was responsive, and the check-out process was very smooth.
⚠️ **Areas for Improvement**
1. **Facility Maintenance Needs Attention**: Some facilities are slightly dated, and a few rooms had flickering lights due to poor contact. Regular inspection and maintenance are recommended to enhance the sense of safety for guests.
2. **Inconsistent Mini-bar & Welcome Fruit Replenishment**: The mini-bar wasn't restocked daily, and welcome fruit was only provided on the first day. As the length of stay wasn't certain, I had to place separate orders for drinks and fruit during my 3-night stay, which should have been automatically replenished. This was a minor inconvenience.
💬 **Summary**
Despite minor flaws, its excellent location, spaciousness, and home-like comfort completely outweigh any small imperfections. It's especially suitable for families traveling or guests needing a 'temporary home'. I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next trip to Beijing! Looking forward to an even more perfect experience after facility upgrades!

MM13763****The Regent Beijing is perfectly located in Wangfujing, close to major attractions like the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, the National Museum, Temple of Heaven, and Beihai Park, all accessible by foot or shared bike. The Dengshikou subway station is right outside the hotel, making travel by metro incredibly convenient. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. Our high-floor room offered views of the Forbidden City and Jingshan Park. Waking up to the sights along the central axis in the morning was incredibly pleasant, and we also enjoyed beautiful sunsets in the evening. The breakfast was also very generous, featuring a variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, including some Beijing local snacks. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Beijing, especially if I'm exploring the central axis area.

__WeChat32331****Someone swiped a card and entered my room in the middle of the night. I was already lying down and about to rest, and it scared me quite a bit. The hotel didn't offer any explanation at the time, just told me to wait. Then they blamed me for not closing the door properly, but the truth is I hadn't left the room after the hotel housekeeping finished cleaning. This is truly outrageous. I ended up calling the police myself. Since it was very late, I pushed all the movable furniture in the room against the door to block it for the night. The next morning, I checked out as quickly as possible and will never go back. I highly advise solo female travelers to avoid this place; it's very unsafe.

There was a slight noise from the air conditioning during my stay, and when the duty manager, Terry, found out, he promptly arrived, professionally troubleshooted the issue, and resolved it efficiently. His communication throughout was patient and meticulous, which put me completely at ease. After check-out, Mia proactively followed up to inquire about my experience, demonstrating incredibly thoughtful service. From the initial greeting to problem resolution and post-stay care, every staff member showcased exceptional professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility. The hotel's attention to detail and teamwork left a deep impression; they truly put the guest first. Five stars are well-deserved, and I will definitely choose this place again in the future! MM303531****This hotel is great for a weekend getaway with kids. Juyongguan Great Wall and Shuiguan Great Wall are nearby, with Shuiguan Great Wall being closer and less crowded, though a bit challenging to climb. The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a pleasant environment with individual villas dotted up the hillside. Our room was quite far, so we needed to drive to the lobby and restaurant.
The hotel also offers many family-friendly activities. On our second morning, we participated in a valley hike, which was essentially a mountain climb – it requires some stamina.
There were also quite a few downsides. Given how spread out the rooms are and how far they are from the lobby, one would expect butler service, but there was none. Moreover, it was very difficult to get through to the front desk from the room phone. For a self-proclaimed 'family-friendly hotel,' there weren't even children's slippers in the room. After finally getting through on the phone, it took an hour for them to be delivered. Why weren't they provided directly at check-in when they saw we had a child?
The room itself was fairly large, but the bathroom lacked air conditioning/heating, and the shower was open-concept. This design might be fine in Sanya, but in Yanqing, showering at night was absolutely freezing. There was also water pooling, and when staff came to check, they said it was because the floor drain was too high, and nothing could be done, which was a bit frustrating.
We had two meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was good, albeit a bit pricey. We also ate at a farmhouse restaurant down the mountain where the iron pot stewed fish was delicious – I forgot its name, but it had “Tell Old Mo I want to eat fish” written on the wall.
Despite the downsides, it's still a good place for a weekend with kids. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a children's splash pool, which were closed due to the cold weather. We'll definitely bring the kids back in the summer.
