Its location is superb, within walking distance of Qianmen Street and Tiananmen Square. Guests can enjoy the tranquility of a private courtyard amidst the bustling city, and the independent courtyard-style rooms offer excellent privacy. The hotel provides a dedicated butler team, and their service strikes the perfect balance. During my stay, I was initially dissatisfied with my room type. After providing feedback, the hotel responded very promptly and efficiently arranged a room change for me. As a Trip.com Black Diamond member, I also received an exclusive customized chocolate dessert prepared by the hotel, adding a lovely touch of ceremony. The dining options are extensive, including a Michelin-standard Cantonese Chinese restaurant, a hutong bar, and courtyard afternoon tea. Guests can also participate in local cultural experiences such as hutong walks and Chinese tea ceremonies. The guest rooms retain the original architectural layout while being fully equipped with high-end modern amenities. Staying here is not just about simple accommodation; it's an immersive experience of the old city's vibrant life, making it highly recommended for those who appreciate history and culture.

I have no complaint for this hotel at all. I love all about the hotel the room is excellent and clean The toilet is clean and covered with doors, no such thing as open toilet or see thru toilet. If youre malaysian, the only flaw is the bidet part but its ok. Customer service is excellent, they very helpful despite the language barrier but they try their best. Actually my favourite part is the laundry room, they got steamer iron and washer and dryer for the guest to use it for free. If ever u need someone who can help u in english, call for the “016” guy at the reception. Overall the stay is nice.

As a five-star hotel, it absolutely delivered on luxury, making for an excellent experience. I have to praise the location – it's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. You can walk to Metro Lines 1 and 10, so getting around is a breeze. Step out of the hotel and turn left, and within 50 meters, you're at a mall with so many shopping and dining options you'll be spoiled for choice. All your retail and food cravings are easily met! The room was an even bigger surprise. It was exceptionally spacious, bright, and well-lit. The floor-to-ceiling window offered an amazing view, and it was incredibly comfortable just lying there and enjoying the scenery. The facilities were comprehensive, and the pillows and mattress were perfectly comfortable – I slept like a baby, straight through till morning. It was incredibly refreshing. Breakfast also deserves a mention. There was a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options, so many choices that I was satisfied every morning. The staff were consistently warm and polite, always thinking of the guests' needs. Their service was incredibly thoughtful, and I have to give them a big thumbs up! I had such a pleasant stay these past few days. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

I specifically came to the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing for a little healing getaway and to finally cross it off my bucket list—after all, it's been saved on my wishlist for five years. At this price point, MO really speaks for itself: seamless service procedures and a genuinely warm, effortless hospitality. I’d like to give a few specific shout-outs: At breakfast, I always prefer my Americano piping hot. Instead of lecturing me about how super-hot coffee ruins the flavor, the staff simply delivered it exactly as requested. It would have been even better if the cup had been pre-warmed! Also, to the lovely young lady who took my order (forgive me for not catching your name): you are so approachable and warm, please be more confident in yourself! I highly recommend booking an evening spa treatment during your stay; heading straight back to your room to sleep afterward is the ultimate recharge for both body and soul. Special thanks to therapist Minnie and spa receptionist Lawerence for their exceptional service. Even though I purchased my spa voucher via their official WeChat mini-program, they treated me with the utmost care and professionalism. To the front desk team and the duty manager—forgive me once again for forgetting your names—since we interacted the most, I truly appreciated how prompt and thoughtful your responses were. It completely avoided the common issue with domestic ”butler services” where style often trumps substance. A chat group was set up even before my arrival, and whether it was via text, phone, or in person, all my requests and questions, big or small, were handled promptly. Traveling solo, feeling so well cared for and pampered truly touched my heart. Please pass along my gratitude to all the team members, whether I remembered their names or not. Thank you all for making my National Day holiday truly complete.

This is my second stay here. My last visit was during the ** era, and although the name has changed, the entire operational team remains the same. In fact, I feel it offers even better value for money now than it did during the ** period. This time, I stayed in a very quiet suite, designed in the old Beijing courtyard (siheyuan) style that I love. Its location right next to the Summer Palace is unique and a huge advantage. Sitting in the courtyard at night, enjoying the breeze and stargazing, was incredibly relaxing. The design maintains traditional Chinese classical elements, including the cabinets and even the key locks on the doors, all showcasing very traditional Chinese craftsmanship. As for comfort, because I stayed in a suite this time, the bed's design, reminiscent of ancient times, genuinely gave me the best sleep I've had all year – extremely comfortable. The service was also excellent; they were very accommodating to all requests. Overall, even though it's not a ** hotel, the operational team is still outstanding. The only downside is that the hotel is a bit old, so some of the hardware facilities are showing their age. Of course, this is an unavoidable issue for older hotels, and I hope they can continue to strengthen hardware maintenance in the future.

The location is excellent: close to the subway, near Pian Yi Fang roast duck (which serves really good food, by the way), close to a great almond tea shop, and conveniently located near the协和医院 (Peking Union Medical College Hospital) skincare counter. Plus, they offer nationwide delivery, which is handy. Service: All our requests were met. We joined the hotel's club membership and received three drink vouchers. We also ordered the highly-rated chocolate cake, which was delicious! The complimentary welcome fruit plate was also nice. Oh, and they even gave our little one a teddy bear 🐻 doll, which was a lovely touch 😘 Breakfast: It's 220 per person if booked in advance, or 288 for last-minute bookings. It's simply delicious 😋. Special shout-out to the omelet chef, who had a great attitude and made perfect runny egg rolls that I loved. The chef frying bacon was a bit aloof, though! Haha, not in a bad way. The wontons were also good, but there was too much to try. Bathtub 🛁: My child played in the water for two days. It would have been even better if there were bath bombs or a rubber ducky. Overall, it was a great experience, full of happiness 😊

During the National Day holiday, I brought my child to Beijing and specifically chose the Executive King Room at Pan Pacific Beijing. We checked in on October 2nd, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations, making it perfect for a short family trip. The hotel is ideally located at the intersection of Xidan and Financial Street, a prime location not far from the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. This made it very convenient to return after exploring the old city's attractions. The surrounding area is bustling with shopping malls, making dining and stocking up on supplies effortless. Upon check-in, the front desk service was warm and efficient. We had noted our family needs in advance, and the staff thoughtfully prepared children's toiletries and slippers, and proactively introduced us to the exclusive benefits of the executive floor. The Executive King Room, at 45 square meters, was spacious and airy, with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering city views. The room's design was a blend of modern simplicity and oriental touches, with soft, non-glaring colors and no strong renovation odor, which was very child-friendly. The extra-large executive king bed had a soft yet supportive mattress, and a choice of pillows, ensuring a comfortable rest for both adults and children. The room was fully equipped with an open-plan bathroom area, featuring both a bathtub and a rain shower. After a day out with the child, they could enjoy a hot bath in the evening to soothe their travel fatigue. The bathroom amenities were of good quality, and the toilet was smart, adding a nice touch. The room also came with a Nespresso coffee machine, tea bags, and a mini-bar, along with plenty of USB charging ports, making it convenient to charge various devices. All the lighting and curtains could be controlled with a single button by the bed. This was very convenient for families with children, as I didn't need to get up to turn off the lights after putting the child to sleep. The soundproofing was excellent; despite the bustling crowds outside during the National Day, the room was quiet once the windows were closed, ensuring undisturbed naps and night-time sleep for the child. The biggest highlight of the executive room was the Pacific Executive Lounge on the 18th floor. Guests could enjoy complimentary soft drinks and snacks all day during their stay. The afternoon tea offered a rich variety of sweets, savories, and fruits, and there was also a light evening meal. After a day of sightseeing with the child, we could head straight to the lounge to rest, have some drinks and snacks, saving us the hassle of finding a restaurant outside. The lounge environment was quiet and elegant, with expansive views, and the staff were gentle and even offered small snacks to the child. The executive privileges also included free laundry service, which was a huge problem-solver given how easily clothes get dirty when traveling with children. The hotel's public areas were also very family-friendly. The indoor heated pool had clean water and a comfortable temperature, which my child particularly loved. There was also a children's play area with picture books and building blocks, where kids could play freely, allowing parents a brief moment of relaxation. The hotel's breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes, including porridge, pastries, yogurt, and fruits suitable for children, with mild flavors and ample choices. Throughout our stay, the service details were impeccable. Room service was prompt, and any request to the front desk was handled quickly. Hotel security was well-managed; a room card was required for entry and exit, which provided a strong sense of safety when staying with a child. Of course, there was a minor drawback: during the National Day holiday, there were many guests, and seating in the lounge during peak afternoon tea hours could be a bit tight, requiring us to go at off-peak times. Overall, our family stay on October 2nd was very satisfying. The Executive King Room offered comfortable space, the Executive Lounge benefits were practical, the location was excellent, and the family-friendly amenities were thoughtful. It's suitable whether you're visiting Beijing for historical sites or a city leisure vacation. If you're traveling to Beijing with children and want both comfortable accommodation and convenient travel, the Pan Pacific Beijing Executive Room is highly recommended. I would consider staying here again on my next trip to Beijing.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel for my girlfriend’s surprise birthday. The hotel kindly accommodated my request for a high floor, and we were given a room with an amazing view. They also decorated the room and provided a complimentary birthday cake, which was a lovely touch and genuinely helped make the surprise special. However, there were several issues that I feel are important to mention, particularly when staying at a five star hotel. My expectation was for the room to be close to perfect, but there were several visible stains on the walls and carpet, as well as dirty windows. These are details that I would not expect to see at a five star property and, in my opinion, should have been addressed before the room was given to guests. We were also disappointed to discover that some of the restaurants, including Views Restaurant and Kempi Deli, were closed despite still being listed on the hotel’s website. We had specifically looked forward to visiting these restaurants, so it would have been helpful if the website information had been updated. Another disappointment was the jacuzzi being closed. We had been looking forward to using it during our stay, but only the lap swimming pool was available. We also visited Brewery@Kempinski, which itself was nice. Unfortunately, the behaviour of some of the staff made us extremely uncomfortable. I understand that we are foreigners and may naturally attract some attention, but repeatedly staring at us, making comments and then giggling among themselves was extremely unprofessional especially when it was directed at us in. It continued to the point where I had to call the staff over and address the situation directly. Only after doing so did they stop and leave us alone. This was particularly disappointing from a five star hotel. Finally, we received a call from the hotel informing us that they wanted to give us a gift for our stay. When the butler came to our door, he presented us with traditional Chinese mooncakes. I thanked him and went to close the door, but he placed his foot against the door and then proceeded to ask for a tip. I found this extremely inappropriate. If something is presented to a guest as a gift from the hotel, I do not expect to then be asked for money. At that point, it no longer feels like a gift; it feels as though I am being asked to pay for something that was supposedly complimentary. Overall, we did have a pleasant stay, and I genuinely appreciate the efforts made for my girlfriend’s birthday, particularly the room, view, decorations and complimentary cake. However, I wanted to leave a truthful and honest review because these issues should not be overlooked, especially when paying five star prices. There were certainly some wonderful aspects to our stay, but there were also several experiences that fell below the standard I would expect from a five star Kempinski hotel.

Thanks to Mika and Aria for their thoughtful and attentive arrangements. They prepared a personalized room key card and a small birthday cake for us in advance, creating a full sense of occasion and perfectly catering to our birthday needs. However, the hotel entrance was very chaotic, with bellhops busy collecting food deliveries and not opening or closing car doors. If it weren't for the very thoughtful birthday arrangements, I would be dissatisfied with the service. At the bar, it took a long time for the staff to even notice us. The toothpaste and toothbrushes felt a bit cheap, and the layout wasn't a traditional suite; it was no different from a king-size room, with no separate living room and bedroom. It was also very easy to slip between the bathtub and the shower.

Before booking, I read the negative reviews, which were mostly complaints about the service. After staying, I felt like this hotel was one giant obedience test. Upon entering the room, I noticed a strong smell from the air conditioning ducts. I picked up the phone and dialed 'one touch.' The operator transferred me to the front desk, who said they would get back to me shortly. 'Shortly' meant I had to call again to get any kind of answer. After changing rooms, the next day my room card stopped working. That's when I understood why there was a phone in the hallway. After calling, they said an auntie would come to help open the door. Ten minutes later, the auntie finally arrived. After opening the door, she said a concierge would bring a new room card later. Well, it never arrived within two hours. Eventually, when I went to pick up my takeout, I had to go to the front desk myself to get a new one. The tissues in the room ran out. The auntie replaced them with new ones, but just left the new pack on top of the tissue box instead of putting them inside. I don't understand that. There was a short black hair in the bathtub... The mini-bar was completely empty on the first night, possibly due to the room change. At breakfast, I opened a Chinese steamed dim sum, and there was a black hair inside... Breakfast ended at 10:30 AM, and many guests came at 10:35 AM to get coffee, but it was all gone...
