Beijing Hotels with Bars

On my holiday trip to Beijing, I booked this hotel because I had a flight in the evening. It's close to the subway, which makes getting to the airport super convenient. The hotel lobby and the room's interior environment are both fantastic, and the front desk staff are all very friendly and helpful. This hotel generally allows for early check-in and late check-out. I slept until noon, then took my time checking out, without having to rush out by 12 PM. Plus, the bed in the room is huge and very comfortable. Awesome~ Awesome~

My stay this time was incredibly comfortable. The room facilities were well-maintained, with plenty of hot water and clean bathrooms. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and getting around was super convenient. There was a coffee machine and a fresh air system. The front desk staff member was very responsive, and any issues were promptly resolved.

As a five-star hotel, it absolutely delivered on luxury, making for an excellent experience. I have to praise the location – it's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. You can walk to Metro Lines 1 and 10, so getting around is a breeze. Step out of the hotel and turn left, and within 50 meters, you're at a mall with so many shopping and dining options you'll be spoiled for choice. All your retail and food cravings are easily met! The room was an even bigger surprise. It was exceptionally spacious, bright, and well-lit. The floor-to-ceiling window offered an amazing view, and it was incredibly comfortable just lying there and enjoying the scenery. The facilities were comprehensive, and the pillows and mattress were perfectly comfortable – I slept like a baby, straight through till morning. It was incredibly refreshing. Breakfast also deserves a mention. There was a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options, so many choices that I was satisfied every morning. The staff were consistently warm and polite, always thinking of the guests' needs. Their service was incredibly thoughtful, and I have to give them a big thumbs up! I had such a pleasant stay these past few days. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

The room was pretty good. Even though it was a crowded National Day holiday, the service remained excellent. The hot water supply was also great, which is something many people care about, so you can rest assured. The breakfast suited my taste. Overall, the service was consistently good. Next time, I might suggest trying the executive lounge; the view is lovely. I've stayed at most of the hotels in this area before, and I feel this one still meets the expectations for its price point.

I came to Beijing for Zhou Shen's concert at the Bird's Nest and wanted to visit the Forbidden City, so I chose the relatively close Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing Beijing. The hardware facilities and service were, as expected, impeccable. What truly surprised me was that Tina and William from the front office discreetly prepared photos of Zhou Shen – and even framed them! Zhou Shen was wearing his new 'bunny' outfit from the concert. I was incredibly touched; it shows how dedicated the hotel is to its guests, making you feel right at home. I left in a hurry and forgot to ask who wrote the little card; not only was it clever, but the handwriting was beautiful too. The complimentary daily teas from the hotel were also delicious and always different. From now on, when I visit Beijing, I'll definitely stay at your hotel! My sincere thanks to all the hotel staff for their excellent service, and I wish everyone a Happy Mid-Autumn Festival again. May the hotel's business prosper and everyone's endeavors be successful!

Amazing! We spent five nights staying in a deluxe king room with terrace/balcony at The Purple Horse Hotel in Beijing at the end of June 2026.. The location is excellent. The hotel is situated in the heart of a Hutong which offers a calm quiet and serene experience in the middle of a bustling city, only a short walk to restaurants and shops. The Hutong itself is a great experience, it's safe and friendly and we enjoyed chatting to the locals at the corner shop. The hotel is absolutely wonderful. It's less than two years old and It is finished to a really high standard, the attention to detail is incredible. It felt luxurious with the highest quality furnishings and the bathroom and shower were like something you would find in a spa. Our room had great views over the Hutong and the Beijing skyline and had excellent air conditioning. We had a buffet breakfast and a buffet dinner included and it was delicious and served in a beautiful restaurant on the top floor. Above that there was an amazing rooftop terrace with an outdoor swimming pool, a cocktail bar and 360⁰ views of the city. There is also a Peking duck restaurant on the ground floor, a gym and a self service complimentary laundry room. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. The level of service and the attentiveness of the staff is at a level that we have never experienced before. The staff are super friendly and polite and they are always trying to help. Our room was cleaned to an immaculate level every day and we were often left little gifts and kind notes. The service in the restaurant was great and once again always really kind and friendly, special mention to Nieve for looking after us so well. Anything we needed, any questions we had, the staff really went out of their way to help us and did so with big smiles on their faces and we had fun times in our interactions with them. Everyone had a good level of English, especially the front for house staff and management . If you want a comfortable, clean, modern hotel with great facilities, in a great, safe location and would like staff that will advise and help you and direct you and even organise trips and transport for you, then this is the hotel for you. We would like to thank some of the staff that really went out of their way to help us. Ella and Anduo who organised a print shop for us and helped us find some specific gift shops. Nieve for making us smile everyday in the restaurant. The housekeeping team for making our room so clean, comfortable and amazing every day. Terry the manager for being a really nice guy, for taking the time to talk to us and ask us if we needed anything everyday. And Kevin for making us some really nice tea and helping us with everything when we were checking out. We have stayed in hotels all over the world but this one will always stand out for being that little bit different, for being so immaculate and for going the extra mile. The hotel is located in a hutong (alley) in Dongsi Sitiao, offering an authentic and tranquil Beijing hutong experience. You can easily go for a city walk, and the nearby Dongsi West Street and Longfusi commercial area provide a plethora of dining options. Subway Lines 5 and 6 are conveniently located in the Longfusi commercial area, about a ten-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel itself has well-equipped facilities, including a laundry room and a mini-gym, and the service is quite attentive. These are the hotel's advantages. On the more average side, the rooms are quite small, and both the bathroom and shower are separate and very compact. Given its location within the Second Ring Road hutongs and being a renovated old residence, this is understandable. However, some of the hotel's policies felt a bit stingy. During the National Day holiday, I booked four consecutive nights at over 1,000 RMB per night, but the minibar and afternoon tea were only complimentary on the first day and not for the following three. This feels unfair to guests staying for multiple nights. Therefore, I would recommend this hotel for those who want to experience Beijing's hutongs, but perhaps only for one night. For longer stays, there are other hotels and guesthouses with better service.

At ~RMB600 per night, including breakfast, during the low season, this 5 star hotel offers excellent value for money. **The good points:** - The shuttle bus driver was very polite and helpful, and assisted us with our luggage. - The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. - The room was very clean, with high ceilings that made it feel spacious. **The biggest disappointment was definitely the breakfast.** We paid an extra RMB 100 per person to have breakfast included, but honestly, it was one of the worst breakfasts I have ever experienced at a five-star hotel. The fried eggs were all prepared in advance and left out on display, and for some reason, they were placed on top of slices of bread. The drinks were not refilled for over an hour, even after they had run out. Nobody came to clear our used plates, so by the end of breakfast, our table was completely covered with plates and glasses. Meanwhile, the staff were just standing nearby chatting with each other. And overall, the food does not taste good. **Another issue was the air conditioning.** The room felt rather stuffy, and the air conditioning was not powerful enough. I had already set it to the lowest temperature (16°C) and the highest fan speed, but the room temperature displayed remained at 22°C throughout our stay. In reality, it felt even warmer than that. On the positive side, the windows could be opened to let in some fresh air. However, doing so meant having to put up with considerable noise from passing cars and aircraft. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money during the low season, especially considering the room quality and friendly front desk service. However, the breakfast experience was far below what I would expect from a five-star hotel.

I had a very relaxing vacation at this resort, and the overall experience truly exceeded my expectations. The check-in process was smooth, and the room felt comfortable from the moment I stepped in. The cleanliness was impeccable, the bedding was clean and cozy, and all the facilities were well-maintained, making for a great stay. The resort offers a wide variety of activities, perfect for both adults looking to relax and children wanting to play. There's never a dull moment throughout the day, with dining, entertainment, and activities all conveniently arranged in one place. I especially want to commend Suna's service. Whenever I had any questions or requests, she responded promptly. She was meticulous and patient, always considering things from the guest's perspective and handling issues efficiently and effectively. Her friendly and professional attitude made me feel very much at ease. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire vacation. The experience across the board was excellent, offering great value for money. It's highly recommended for family trips or friends traveling together. I've already recommended it to my friends and family who are planning trips, and I'll definitely be back when I have the chance.

Before booking, I read the negative reviews, which were mostly complaints about the service. After staying, I felt like this hotel was one giant obedience test. Upon entering the room, I noticed a strong smell from the air conditioning ducts. I picked up the phone and dialed 'one touch.' The operator transferred me to the front desk, who said they would get back to me shortly. 'Shortly' meant I had to call again to get any kind of answer. After changing rooms, the next day my room card stopped working. That's when I understood why there was a phone in the hallway. After calling, they said an auntie would come to help open the door. Ten minutes later, the auntie finally arrived. After opening the door, she said a concierge would bring a new room card later. Well, it never arrived within two hours. Eventually, when I went to pick up my takeout, I had to go to the front desk myself to get a new one. The tissues in the room ran out. The auntie replaced them with new ones, but just left the new pack on top of the tissue box instead of putting them inside. I don't understand that. There was a short black hair in the bathtub... The mini-bar was completely empty on the first night, possibly due to the room change. At breakfast, I opened a Chinese steamed dim sum, and there was a black hair inside... Breakfast ended at 10:30 AM, and many guests came at 10:35 AM to get coffee, but it was all gone...
