Pretty good! We came to Beijing for a concert and when we got back to the hotel, something made us burst out laughing for a full two minutes. They offer free bottled water, which was great because we didn't have to buy any. The room was only cleaned on the first day; on the second and third days, maybe it was because we made too much of a mess, but it wasn't tidied up. That actually worked out fine for us, as we had so many things and it would have been easy to lose something.

I called ahead to ask if the bedside table in the middle of the room could be moved. We're a family of four with a 6-year-old and a 9-year-old, and since it was a 1-meter bed, pushing them together worked perfectly. The mattress and bedding were quite comfortable, and they even provided children's slippers. The best part, though, was its unbeatable location right by the Imperial City! The front desk staff were also excellent, always accommodating our requests. They offer laundry and drying services, daily snacks, raincoats, small red flags, and iced lemon black tea. The TV is also a good size. Overall, I'm very satisfied, I just forgot to take pictures! The hotel is located in Hanjia Hutong, part of the Eight Great Hutongs. It's walking distance to Dashilar, and just a few more steps to Qianmen. It's also very close to Guan Bo (the Imperial Academy Museum), the Temple of Heaven, the Central Cultural Relics and Gift Management Center, and Xian'erkou. Walk about 700 meters and you're at Hufangqiao, with the Jixiaolan Former Residence subway station nearby. Across the street, you can catch the No. 5 Longji Line bus for 2 yuan, which offers a scenic ride – highly recommended! Right at the entrance, there's a hot pot restaurant popular with locals (forgot the full name, but it's some 'Man' hot pot place) with amazing value for money and taste. Beijing hot pot always uses sesame paste. There are breakfast shops in the hutong, serving authentic Beijing breakfast (locals pay 4 yuan for a 'set,' but tourists are charged 12, which is a bit of a rip-off). If you're staying here, I highly recommend renting an electric scooter. Many places require walking, and cars aren't allowed in. To make the most of your trip, an electric scooter is essential. My husband found it – just search for the 'Feiwo Chuxing' app on WeChat. It allows you to explore the streets and alleys all day long, hitting all the spots you want to visit, and it's excellent value for money.

I first stayed at this hotel four years ago. It has a great environment, is very close to the subway station, and has Daoxiangcun and restaurants downstairs. Across the street, there's the large Indigo shopping mall. When I came to Beijing with my child this time, this was my first choice. Excellent 👍

Among hotels in the same price range, this one is definitely the best. They have toilet seat covers, which is very reassuring. The room is spacious, and there's even a welcome gift. I hope the owner continues to maintain this standard. The most, most, most important thing is that they also provide conditioner! A hotel that considers women's needs is truly the best. Most hotels in the south don't have conditioner. If you're on a budget, you can book this place with confidence. Waking up to the sounds of the city traffic in the morning is also quite pleasant.

Our stay at PiaoHome was great! They helped us to reserve space at Tiananmen Square and gave great local recommendations (the restaurant with a green sign opposite called Purple Garden or something I can’t remember, was fantastic and a proper locals restaurant ). The staff were always really helpful. The amenities were great too - everything as described. The bathroom floor does get wet but it’s not a problem, it dries quite quickly. Only thing we would say is it felt like we were always in at least a 20 minute DiDi to get anywhere in Beijing, not sure if that is just a problem with our accomodation or everywhere in Beijing
