Premier Inn Bideford ★★★★
"We had an early start the next morning on our boat trip to Lundy so it made sense to have an overnight stay. The room was as we expectd with a good shower but it only had an out of reach, overhead shower rose so difficult to keep my hair dry! It was quiet and had efficient air con"
The Waterfront Inn ★★★
"Awesome staff, food was great."
Instow Barton ★★★★
"Wow what a great place. Caroline and Colin have made a beautiful tranquil place and welcome you in it as honoured guests. They couldn’t have made me more welcome and are very likeable too. The high quality of the room, enormous comfy bed, amenities (both in and outdoors) and then the food - breakfast ranked as one of the best! Get the impression I loved my stay there? Sure did!"
The Seagate ★★★
"Recently enjoyed a fabulous three night stay at the Seagate and will certainly be staying again. The room was excellent as was the view ,room had everything you could possibly need from hairdryer, iron and ironing board to a beautiful basket of snacks should you get the midnight munchies. Had a small issue with the shower that was fixed by the time we arrived back from our day out even though we had insisted it was fine for us and they could leave it until we'd checked out great service! Staff were all lovely from housekeeping to front of house, bar staff ect . Special mention to Chris and Tom at checkout."
Fosfelle Glamping ★★★
"Had another wonderful stay at Fosfelle as a returning customer, we all felt our one night wasn’t long enough as we soaked up the peace and calm of the beautiful surroundings. Facilities were great and the park owners anxious to help with anything we needed and supplied helpful info. The appearance of the resident donkeys was an absolute delight and they politely allowed us to include them in a lengthy photo shoot. We enjoyed stunning coastal walks and Hartland Abbey with its gardens, grounds and tea room. A stay at Fosfelle is a must if you are an animal lover and are looking for an idyllic getaway."
The Royal George ★★★
"The room was clean and tidy The room was warm and even with a small fan and all the Velux windows open it was still warm. The breakfast was interesting I went for the full English 1 sausage 1 egg beans black pudding and the smallest piece of bacon I’ve ever had half a mushroom and half a tomato are margins that tight the can’t give you a full mushroom or tomato Not a lover of sourdough bread it was very tough Love Appledore won’t be giving The George any more of my hard earned money"
Wayfarer Inn ★★★★
"Excellent food lovely service nice atmosphere. Very reasonable priced food. The Sunday lunch was excellent and I was told by my wife the veggie nut roast was tasty and supplied with a nice veggie gravy The roast beef was lovely potatoes and veg tasty"
The West Country Inn ★★★
"Booked a Sunday lunch for 12:30 as when I rang was told very busy at 1pm,was grateful she got us in.Arrived 12:15 and it was empty, greeted with a lady who made it clear we were early ,wasn’t asked our name and was told the table in the corner was available and have a drink while we waited ,my husband went to the bar to order drinks to be told by the same lady the cooler system wasn’t working ,but still poured a pint and I had a cider, when we drank it there was no fizz and both drinks completely flat, she came over and asked if everything was ok and my husband said the beer was flat, she replied there’s bubbles in it then she asked if he wanted a bottle of beer and he said no will have a coke, she brought coke to table and said that’s got bubbles, then asked if we wanted to order our food we said no,we felt really uncomfortable and decided to pay for drinks and leave,no apology she took money for drinks and said we will miss out on the best roast in Devon. Will not be going back "

Appledore Factory
"We had 4 nights as a family of 4 adults, a baby and a toddler. It was spacious enough for us all and the apartment was bigger than we had imagined which was great. The beds were comfy and the view is incredible. However the cleanliness of the place was not good. The wooden floor was so grubby that within 5 minutes of walking around all our feet were black. We went and spoke to someone about the issue as we had been allowed to check in early (which was great) but we wondered if it hadn’t been finished cleaning and we were handed a mop to do it ourselves. We didn’t mind moping ourselves but obviously not ideal. Even after a mop it wasn’t much better so the next day we mopped again, it must be the grain in the floor or something but we couldn’t get it clean and we all wore socks for the rest of the stay. When checking this place prior to choosing to book we wondered about the smell and noise from the pizza place below; no reviews mentioned it, so we proceeded with booking. However, it is quite smelly and noisy to! As soon as you open up the front door into the stair way there is an overwhelming smell of old cooked/burnt oil, and if you leave your windows open past 5:30 you’ll just get bbq/pizza smell in your bedrooms. A shame as in the summer it’s quite hot on the second floor so it was a choice between smell and noise or a very stuffy room. The noise we kind of expected being above a restaurant but lots of banging doors in the building. So yes a mixed review, and overall we would not stay here again."
