"BAD During our stay, a power outage severely impacted nearly every aspect of the guest experience. Essential services and amenities that formed part of the accommodation purchase were unavailable for a significant portion of our stay. Specifically, we were without air conditioning, television service, Wi-Fi, room lighting, and bathroom lighting. Additionally, the gym, spa, pool facilities, and elevator service were completely unavailable. Throughout the outage, the hotel provided little to no communication regarding the situation, expected duration, or available alternatives. Poor communication. At checkout, I was advised that no refund would be provided."

"Good, clean, and quiet accommodation; kitchette, otherwise nothing special. Room was effectively updated, and made us feel the owners were serious about their offering. Well located for our visit to the area. Office is a sliding window, which can be off putting; not in this case."

Anchor Inn Motel by Loyalty ★★
"Decided to stop here for the night before crossing the border next AM. Had read reviews, some mixed, and since we’re looking for a good logistics stop near the border, decided to experience the Anchor Inn for ourselves. The suite was very clean. When opening the door, a fairly heavy disinfectant-cleaning scent was present. It dissipated fairly quickly by leaving the door open. The heater quickly warmed up the room and was fairly quiet when operating. (Did not see how it did on air conditioning, but expect that worked equally well.) The Inn is an older, one-level property. We had the “king suite” which includes a full-size refrigerator and cookstove. Limited, but sufficient cookware, utensils and dinnerware for a simple meal prep. Has a coffee/tea service. There is a couch, a desk with a comfortable office chair, one small round side table that one can place where needed, a dining table with two chairs next to the kitchen area. The king-size bed was very comfortable and the bedding of sufficient quality and warmth. Some reviewers reported the beds are high. I would agree. No problem for me (preferable for tall person) but perhaps a challenge for someone of shorter stature. There is no room for placement of bedside tables due to the configuration of the bed which sits against the wall with entry on both sides to the kitchen and dining areas. It is likely for this reason the small round side table is in the room—allowing guest to place it where needed.. (Perhaps providing guests with two small tables would be better?) The TV is of generous size and channels selection good. However, its placement in the console cabinet hutch makes it difficult to view from the sofa. The bath is adequate size with tub/shower combination. There are anti-slip strips in the tub, but no safety grab rail for getting out. (This would be helpful for senior guests in particular, demonstrating concern for their safety.) The sink cabinet is adequate to hold a small toiletry bag without fear of soaking it while using the sink. There is a wall-mount hairdryer. The lighting for the mirror is on the adjacent side wall next to sink cabinet. I found it sufficient but others may find it slightly wanting. The framed mirror is quite large so there is no room to mount the light bar directly above it which would be customary. (Perhaps during renovation there was no electrical available except on that side wall?) Overall, the renovation work on the property is good. The carpets were removed in favor of laminate flooring, walls and trim are well done. The original fir planking finish of the ceiling was retained. Some may find the effect a bit dark but we did not. (Of course, our “king suite” had two large windows in the kitchen-dining area, one in the bathroom, and the front featured a large expanse of windows. Curtains are of good quality and provide sufficient privacy.) I noted the bath towels are not premium (they are thin, somewhat small—but not th"
