"We stayed here for three nights. The view from the window was of mountains, and the sunsets were breathtaking. The bathroom and kitchen were shared, as is common in most guesthouses in Iceland. There was a large living room, and the staff and owners were very lovely."

"I'm giving 3.5 points to the male receptionist for his excellent service. He was always proactive in asking if I needed help when he saw I had a problem. When my room's heating wasn't working, even though he was busy, he first sent a colleague to check it out (though that person was pretty dismissive, just telling me to wait and that it would heat up soon 🙄). As soon as he was done with his other tasks, he came over with a toolbox to fix it himself. He even repeatedly apologized for the issue, which was very gentlemanly of him. On the other hand, the female receptionist was very perfunctory; she even forgot to give me the entrance code when I checked in, leaving me to freeze outside for quite a while."

"A less than positive experience; the outside looks good, but upon entering, certain imperfections are noticeable. First, the bathroom window wouldn't open, and then we found hair on one of the beds. The worst flaw was the bathroom: in one bathroom the water was only boiling hot, while in the other it was either boiling hot or freezing cold. The icing on the cake was the extremely dirty and encrusted microwave. As if that weren't enough, the mattress was horrible and extremely uncomfortable."
