"Staying here for one night was the best decision I've ever made! Even though it's expensive, it's totally worth it. The scenery around the hotel is unforgettable; when you open the balcony door, the world unfolds before you. It's truly picturesque, with birdsong, fragrant flowers, and the sounds of insects and geckos. While pristine, the area is well-managed and very safe. The hotel also provides a shuttle service; yesterday afternoon it took me to Borobudur, and this morning at 4 am it took me to see the sunrise. The drivers are incredibly dedicated! I felt a little bad making them get up so early, but they didn't complain at all. The hotel breakfast was fantastic. I chose coffee, cereal milk, and a local dish called Kupat Tahu. This dish was absolutely delicious and perfect for a Chinese palate. Dinner yesterday was also good (à la carte), but breakfast was definitely more amazing. All photos were taken inside the villa."

"This is a very rare Non-View Hotel among hotels. It was a bungalow accommodation in the middle of a rice field. Since there are no restaurants around, you have to eat dinner at the hotel. The food was a bit pricey, but I liked it because it was prepared with fresh ingredients and served with sincerity. I was especially grateful that I could order beer even though it is an Islamic country. I also liked that they served unlimited coffee that was strong but not bitter. However, it is quite far because the entrance to Borobudur has changed. It is too far to walk. We called Grab and took a tuk-tuk to go there and back. The accommodation is quiet and secluded, so it is good for healing, but it is difficult to leave the accommodation once it gets dark."

"Had a wonderful lunch at Puunee. On the Ello River. We were in Magelang to see the Borobudur. We met Josh and his wife at a Thai restaurant close to our hotel and he told us about his restaurant so we went the next day as we were heading back to Jakarta. Beautiful location and the rooms are quaint and cozy, (another reason to come back to this area and stay a while). Would definitely return and stay at Puunee, maybe take a rafting tour down the river or ride the horses."

"A stunning place, atmospheric, away from the center, quiet, surrounded by nature. Bravo to the staff 👍🤗 – responsive and thoughtful. My breakfasts included a choice from the menu, but I don't eat meat or fish, so they made substitutions for me. Very filling and delicious. All the best. The room overlooks the mountains, opposite the fish fountain. Spacious. By the way, there's a mosque nearby, a great option for Muslims (I'm Christian). The room itself is cozy, large, and had everything I needed. The only thing is the water – it's not even warm, it's cold, so I couldn't wash properly. I like to wash in very hot water, so that's a drawback for me."
